Maturity model of source code of object-oriented aplications
Pavlíčková, Jarmila ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Šimůnek, Milan (referee) ; Havlíček, Zdeněk (referee)
The goal of this disertation was to develop a maturity model for source code of object-oriented applications and to use this model to verify the quality of the source code of student's applications. The starting point of the thesis was devoted to the analysis of existing standards, norms, methodologies and summaries of best practice for assessing the quality of software products and analysis of the factors that affect the quality of the source code of object applications. To validate the results of the analysis of these factors, the analysis was complemented with a field research conducted among specialist with programming experience. The model to determine the maturity of source code of object-oriented applications was designed according to the analysis and the questionnaire. The statistical method of cluster analysis was used in the design of the model. The model was designed and the procedure of its use in the evaluation of source code was described. This model was pilot tested in education program at the University of Economics in Prague.

This thesis is focused on exploring the integration of BPM/SOA in order to identify the key aspects for successful integration. At the same time utilizing these aspects to evaluate organization's BPM/SOA integration initiative not only to determine how the organization is in this behavior but also to help design their own development plan. The thesis is based on an extensive literature study. In combination experts interviews analyzing various aspects of the integration of BPM/SOA. The main areas which have been examined and analyzed were the differences between BPM and SOA, challenges to integration, maturity models and proposed various approaches to achieve successful integration. The most important results and benefits of this thesis are critical success factors for integration BPM/SOA, integration approach and the assessment method integration. Green ICT maturity model as a starting point for the implementation of Green ICT practices in small and medium-sized enterprises
Mlejnek, Petr ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Basl, Josef (referee)
The general topic of this thesis is Green ICT and its support. But specifically is this work focused on Green ICT maturity model, as a starting point for the implementation of Green ICT practices in small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic. The main goal of this thesis is therefore the definition of this maturity model. This definition primarily consists of defining the questions, possible responses and assigning weights for these responses from the perspective of Green ICT maturity. By answering these questions, Green ICT maturity of any small or medium-sized enterprise can be measured. To achieve the main goal, the areas of Green ICT and Green ICT maturity levels for small and medium-sized enterprises were defined. However, for making this maturity model a relevant result of the thesis, testing it in practice was necessary. For this purpose was therefore created an interactive website with self-assessment form, through which companies were able to evaluate their Green ICT. Than the results of this self-assessment, were analyzed. The personal benefit of this thesis is definition of the Green ICT maturity model with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, including implementation and verification in practice. This part is considered as practical. For theoretical part I consider defining the areas of Green ICT for small and medium-sized enterprises, which is also seen as personal benefit.
Human Behavior in Process Reengineering Projects
Svačinová, Hana ; Řepa, Václav (advisor) ; Chocholatý, Drahomír (referee)
The aim of this work is to acquaint the reader with the theory of human resources management, process reengineering area and related expressions. The work identifies personal types or groups of persons involved in the process reengineering projects and availability of defined human resources on the Czech market. Theoretical knowledge is described on two real projects of process reengineering - in small and purely Czech company and in large multinational company. On these projects also participated teams of different HR composition and scale, which allow to show interesting differences. Two projects only are certainly not relevant for the sample of general conclusions, but they are very useful to demonstrate specific examples of theory in practice. In a reengineering process also occur some problems caused by the type of projects, by process maturity, but also by the composition of human resources involved in the project. Parts of this work are crisis plans too - proposals for solving these crisis situations. I believe that the progress of the project is also affected by the level of stress put on the human resources, which is found in the survey that is part of this work. The survey compares whether the effects of stress changes team roles of specific project participants, including the composition of the project team. The research results are the main contribution of this work. The basis of the research is the definition of the team roles by Belbin. The main part sof this work are the basic terms and current level of examination of this area, it also contains examples of real projects, research and crisis plans.

Third part is where the comparison of described reality and the PEMM model factors of maturity is being made. All the maturity levels of the factors are argumented here as well. In the last part of this document, there is a presentation of the recomandations concluded from the previous comparison.
