Dynamic Model for Production of Polyhydroxyalkanoates by Thermophilic Bacterium S. thermodepolymerans
Křápková, Monika ; Šafránek, David (referee) ; Sedlář, Karel (advisor)
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rekonstrukcí dynamického modelu produkce polyhydroxyalkanoátů (PHA) termofilní bakterií Schlegelella thermodepolymerans. První kapitola poskytuje čtenářům krátký úvod do systémové biologie a matematické teorie grafů.
Spindles actuator of turning machines
Hadraba, Petr ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with dynamic modelling of actuators of multispindle automatic lathes TMZ842NG and TMZ867NG in MSC Adams software. The main objective was to assess dif-ferences between the individual spindles actuator systems and the influence of shortening material on the system. This thesis deals with the possibilities of dynamic modelling in MSC Adams, mainly with the application of the Machinery module. The choice of the final model for main analysis is based on the model's assessment.
System Management Model of a Professional Service Firm
Hubík, Tomáš ; Křivánek, Mirko (advisor) ; Majerech, Vladan (referee)
In the presented work I devote to creating a computer model of a professional service firm using the theory of business modeling. The whole model was programmed using the application Vensim. Another part of this work was to use this model to answer some key questions about the professional service firms. I dealt with the issue of optimal volume and optimal size of potential orders. I have also studied the influence of marketing and employee productivity on business performance. Another part of the work was to find patterns in employees career growth and to monitor sales and quality of projects delivery. I also determined the size and characteristics of critical mass. Such a model could then be used to better understand patterns of companies in the professional services industry and we can use it to manage the company more effectively in this environment.
GDPNow for the Czech Republic
Kutman, Jan ; Havránek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kukačka, Jiří (referee)
The gross domestic product (GDP) is an essential measure of the state of economic activity and serves as a crucial tool for policymakers, investors, or businesses. However, the official GDP estimate in the Czech Republic is only available with a lag of approximately 60 days, and the Czech National Bank (CNB) announces its GDP forecast once in each quarter. This thesis focuses on predicting GDP growth in the current quarter, referred to as nowcasting. I employ several methods to nowcast the real GDP growth in the Czech Republic in a pseudo-real-time setting and compare their performance. Additionally, I investigate the possibility of creating an ensemble model by using a weighted average of several nowcasting models. The results suggest that the Dynamic Factor Model (DFM) performs best in the GDP nowcasting task, and its predictive accuracy is comparable with the official CNB nowcast. Furthermore, the model averaging process yields accuracy close to the best individual model while addressing model uncertainty. The GDP nowcast of the DFM will be made available to the public in real-time on a website and updated with a daily frequency.

Dynamic Financial Market Model
Stádník, Bohumil ; Musílek, Petr (advisor) ; Brada, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zmeškal, Zdeněk (referee)
The correct model of a liquid financial market is one of the most important matter for a management of all financial market activities including for example a stock or bond porfolio management or an asset pricing. Clear random walk models, which consider a market price/yield development on liquid financial markets to be a random walk within the meaning of a symmetric normal (gaussian) distribution, is very useful to explain quite accurately many financial market effects. If we study financial markets more closely, we recognize that such development can be partly causal and a clear random walk is only a special case of it. Dynamic Financial Market Model considers feedback processes on financial markets which cause an dependence in a probability of next price/yield step direction and also expects mix of random processes as a final result. Both effects cause not gaussian (normal) observations in probability distributions of finacial instruments and this is why the model is also able to explain for example effects like thin or fat tails and other deformations in the probability distribution. S&P500 index or Euro Bund futures probability distribution on daily basis are good examples of the diversion from normality.
Measuring of relationship between IS/ICT's effectiveness and company?s effectiveness
Dále jsou analyzovány faktory podmiňující efektivnost IS/ICT ? tj. řízení firemního IS/ICT a řízení a hodnocení IS/ICT investic. V další části jsou popsána specifika bankovního odvětví a současné trendy ovlivňující efektivnost bankovních procesů. V závěru práce jsou navrženy dvě metody měření vazby mezi efektivností IS/ICT a efektivností firmy jako celku. První z nich se opírá o statické hodnocení zralosti IT procesů a plnění firemních cílů. Druhá metoda vychází ze systémové dynamiky a dynamických modelů.
