Biometric fingerprint identification
Dašek, Filip ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
In biometrics we use distinctive physical features for identification and verification of identity. The most famous technique is identification by fingerprints. This technique use unique structure created by papillary lines for unambiguous identification. Thesis contains methods which were created throughout the years for analysis and adjustments of fingerprint. The algorithm is based on compairng two pairs of minitua and calculating transform matrix for correct alignment
RNA polymerase: The "meeting point" of regulatory networks
Wiedermannová, Jana ; Krásný, Libor (advisor) ; Pospíšek, Martin (referee) ; Valášek, Leoš (referee)
Bacterial RNA polymerase (RNAP) is a multisubunit complex essential for transcription of DNA into RNA. As a key enzyme responsible for regulation of gene expression it interprets regulatory signals from the cell and based on these cues RNAP adjusts transcription level of particular genes. This process is affected both by the regular subunits of RNAP as well as other transcription factors (TFs) directly or indirectly interacting with RNAP. The general focus of this Thesis was to extend the knowledge about the complex transcriptional regulatory networks and about the connections between individual pathways. The main specific topic and the main publication of the thesis are focused on the HelD protein, a novel binding partner of RNAP in Bacillus subtilis. We showed that HelD binds between the secondary channel of RNAP and alpha subunits of the core form of the enzyme. We proved that HelD stimulates transcription in an ATP dependent manner by enhancing transcriptional cycling and elongation. We revealed a new connection in the transcription regulatory machinery when we demonstrated that the stimulatory effect of HelD can be amplified by delta, a small subunit of RNAP specific for gram positive (G+) bacteria. Two other publications of the thesis are dealing with the delta subunit. We solved the 3D...
Localization of individual opioid receptor subtypes in CNS
Lišháková, Michaela ; Hejnová, Lucie (advisor) ; Bendová, Zdeňka (referee)
In last decades, the research focused on opioid receptors has been intensively conducted in order to determine their role in various homeostatic functions, control of movement, neurotransmission and drug addiction. An important factor determining the pharmacologic role of opioid receptors is their distribution within the brain regions as well as at the cellular level. Over the past 40 years, a great deal of information concerning their distribution in the central nervous system has been collected, allowing us to determine their localization and mechanisms of their action. In general, results obtained from previous studies are in agreement. However, there are some inconsistencies that impede the accurate determination of receptor distribution and need to be clarified. This paper aims to summarize results of the previously published studies observing the localization of opioid receptors in the rat CNS. Emphasis is placed on the comparison of results obtained by all available methods.
Parallel robot CoreXY
RAJZL, Lukáš
Thesis focuses on the analysis of the current state of parallel robots , comparing them, then deal with the design your own device type CoreXY . The last point of the proposal will be implemented and tested functionality designed and implemented the concept.
Design and implementation of 3D printer with network printing support
Špringer, Radek ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design a 3D printer type delta. To describe 3D printing technologies used by this printer, basic printer features and commercially available material used at the print and its comparison. To define all hardware components, which are necessary for construction of the 3D printer type delta. To create a proposal and construct an expansion board to which all hardware components of the printer will be connected. To optimize the print space heating and cooling of the printout. To extend the 3D printer with a Web server, which will ensure the network printing possibility.
Program for Training of Dactyloscopic Experts
Bartoň, Jan ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Lodrová, Dana (advisor)
This work deals with the design project and the creation of user interface of a programme for the training of dactyloscopy experts. The first chapters describe historical and technical evolution of dactyloscopy. Then the work explains the methods and concepts necessary for understanding and elemental orientations in determination of fingerprints. The final chapters present a proposition of possibilities in how to obtain and represent the results in a comprehensible form. The conclusion of the work is dedicated to tests and evaluation of the results.
Fingerprints Generator
Chaloupka, Radek ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
Algorithms for fingerprints recognition are already known for long time and there is also an effort for their best optimization. This master's thesis is dealing with an opposite approach, where the fingerprints are not being recognized, but are generated on the minutiae position basis. Such algorithm is then free of the minutiae detection from image and enhancements of fingerprints. Results of this work are the synthetic images generated according to few given parameters, especially minutiae.
Fingerprint biometry
Smékal, Ondřej ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Fedra, Petr (advisor)
Algorithms designed for identification and verification persons by fingerprints recognition are spread and used as in forensics aplications as in private sector for a long time. The aim of this thesis is to make us aquainted with various aplicated mathematic models of fingerprint processing in digital way. Second task is the presentation algorithmic solution of chosen subject identification procedure by force of Fingerprint matching. Algorithm is solid in the development environment platform Matlab.
Production and aplication of 3D FDM deltabot printer
Knapil, Josef ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis describes design and aplication of 3D FDM printer type of delta. The first part describes methods of rapid prototyping. The second part describes 3D printers type of delta. The third part deals with construction and calibration of delta printer. In the fourth part are made suitable modifications to the design of the printer, to improve the quality of printing, which is then applied on a sample product. The final section is devoted to technical and economic evaluation.
