Very limited Vocabulary Speech Recognizer
Vystavěl, Kamil ; Míča, Ivan (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the implementation of voice diagnostic method with limited number of recognized words in Matlab environment. Recognizer is designed for recognition of isolated words and is based on the dynamic programming method. This method is realized by the dynamic time warping algorithm (DTW). Features of the speech signal are calculated by methods of short-term analysis in time and frequency domain and by methods that are based on cepstral analysis and linear predictive analysis. The representation of the word, which is generated from its features, is suitable for quantifying the degree of similarity with the representation of another word. In order to achieve the highest degree of similarity, the dynamic time warping algorithm eliminates influence of fluctuation of the speech rate by non-linear normalization time axis of one of the compared words. The degree of the similarity of the two compared words is enumerated as the words’ distance. The representations of known words are stored in a word-book. The unknown word is compared with all words in the word-book and recognizer calculates distances between every known word and the unknown word. The unknown word is defined as identical with the known word that has the shortest distance to the unknown word. The successfulness depends mainly on the choice of the features.
Voice Conversion
Hodaň, David ; Novotný, Ondřej (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
Voice conversion is the process of transformation of speech parameters belonging to one speaker in such a way that his/her speech sounds as spoken by someone else. This thesis presents a short summary of several techniques currently used for conversion. First, the theory of voice creation with an emphasis on key atributes that characterize and identify a speaker’s voice is described. Methods for voice modification are discussed, together with the advantages and pitfalls that predetermine the use-cases for suitable application of these methods. A high-level overview of how speech is transformed between the source and the target speakers is presented. This description is subsequently used to design a voice conversion system that is aimed to demonstrate one of the possible approaches to the conversion problem. The process of conversion consists of two phases: training and synthesis. As part of this project, a computer program for voice conversion based on the MATLAB programming environment has been developed. Its design, implementation and results are discussed.
Speech Recognition (digit)
Kantar, Martin ; Minář, Petr (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to explain what speech is and what are its constituents. I mention commonly used methods which are used for preparation of signals which we use for recognition. Schematic examples show principles of current recognizers of speech, their advantages and disadvantages. I made speech recognition program for 0-9 numerals in Matlab for neural nets learning.

Detection of speech disorders
Struhař, Michal ; Rajmic, Pavel (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with detection of speech disorders. One of the aims of this thesis is choosing suitable parameterization: short-time energy, zero-crossing rate, linear predictive analysis, perceptual linear predictive analysis, RASTA method, cepstral analysis and mel-frequency cepstral coefficient can be chosed for detections. Next aim is construction of detector of speech disorders based on DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) and artificial neuron network. Single detection proceeds on the base of collected tokens from chosen analysis and phonetic transcription of speech. Analyses, detector and phonetic transcription of Czech language are implemented in simulation environment of MATLAB.
Dynamic Time Warping for Vehicle Classification
Halachkin, Aliaksei ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the dynamic time warping. During the work was written C/Python library. Using this library, the algorithm was subsequently applied for the vehicle classification based on their shapes. Testing had been performed on real data from a laser scanner. Then the algorithm had been compared to the correlation and Euclidean distance. Finally, laboratory model had been created, which demonstrates vehicle recognition using dynamic time warping.

Plagiarism detection of program codes
Kašpar, Jakub ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
Main goal of this work is to get acquainted with the plagiarism problem and propose the methods that will lead to detection of plagiarism in program codes. In the first part of this paper different types of plagiarism and some methods of detection are introduced. In the next part the preprocessing and attributes detection is described. Than the new method of detection and adaptive weights usage is proposed. Last part summarizes the results of the detector testing on the student projects database
Dynamic Programming in Biosignal Processing
Procházka, Petr ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Klimek, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes the dynamic time warping method (DTW), which is used for extrasystoles detection in ECG signales. Several methods for extracting a reference cycle are described in this paper. These methods are applied either to whole heart cycles or just to QRS complexes. Afterwards these methods are compared with results of cluster analysis.
