Configuration API of the libnetconf2 Library According to the ietf-netconf-server YANG model
Janota, Roman ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Matoušek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to propose and implement a new application programming interface for the libnetconf2 library, which allows for configuration of a NETCONF server based on the ietf-netconf-server YANG model. The approach begins with an analysis of both the library and the model, followed by their comparison. Based on the results of the comparison, I then designed a new configuration interface, which takes YANG data describing the NETCONF server configuration as input. The proposed solution enables configuring the server in two ways. The former approach preserves the existing configuration and adjusts it based on a special operation attribute. The latter approach entirely replaces the previous configuration with the new one. The proposed solution comprises of two phases --- the creation and the application of configuration data. The focus then shifts to implementation, identifying flaws in the design that arose during implementation, and testing, which was initially done using my own test suite and then using an existing open-source NETCONF server called netopeer2. Additionally, this thesis describes my contribution to an open-source project libssh as well as to the ietf-netconf-server YANG model draft itself. The primary outcome of this work is the the ability for users of the libnetconf2 library to configure their NETCONF server in a standardized manner, as well as the ability to share the NETCONF server configuration in the form of configuration data. The new configuration interface is now part of the libnetconf2's main branch.
E-bikes
Rynda, Vít ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of electromobility, specifically the drive tract of electric bicycles or recumbent bicycles. The thesis focuses on the most essential parts of the traction system, which are the battery and the electric motor. It includes an analysis of the different concepts of the mutual arrangement of the power source and the electric motor of currently used electric bicycles. It also includes descriptions and characteristics of batteries, from past to present representatives. It also includes a brief description of the types of electric motors in use. The practical part involves working with software designed for modifying and configuring the control units of electric vehicles with a central electric motor. Several control unit settings are made, where each of them offers customized motor power limits, assistance levels and driving behaviour. The individual settings are tested under the same specific conditions and compared with each other. Finally, a possible ideal solution is proposed in the form of control unit value settings for the examined criteria.
Configuring and testing the faulted phase earthing functionality using the ABB protection and control terminal
Švec, Ondřej ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Jurák, Viktor (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of replacing the autoreclosing by the method of faulty phase earthing. The faulty phase earthing method is used for compensated networks, but the aim of this thesis is to apply this method to resistively grounded networks as well. The faulty phase earthing automation configuration is applied using the REF615 terminal from ABB and is performed using the PCM600 programming environment.
General Module for a Configuration of Cloud Services
Popisuje model vývoje a použítí těchto technologií. V práci je navrhnutý a implementovaný všeobecný modul na konfiguraci Cloud Computing služeb. Aplikace poskytuje univerzální nástroj na generování uživatelského rozhraní podle dokumentu ve formátu XML. Vytvořený systém zjednodušuje a sjednocuje grafické uživatelské rozhraní.
Configuration of OpenWRT System Using NETCONF Protocol
Nagy, Peter ; Kořenek, Jan (referee) ; Kekely, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is OpenWrt platform configuration using the NETCONF protocol. Existing tools such as libnetconf library and Netopeer toolset were used for the communication using the NETCONF protocol. Implementation part deals with the development of modules for system and network interfaces configuration.
Implementation of a Boot Controller for Intel FPGAs
Hak, Tomáš ; Fukač, Tomáš (referee) ; Matoušek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis touches the topic of using FPGA technology in the field of computer networks, specifically for hardware acceleration of network traffic processing on a network card developed by the CESNET association. FPGA technology is popular mainly due to the possibility to easily reconfigure the chip and fix any errors or update the firmware. The thesis first discusses the design and implementation of a new unit for Intel FPGA, which will be able to communicate with the external configuration flash memory of the chip featured on the card mentioned above. It then goes on to address the design and implementation of a software tool that will allow, via the newly implemented firmware unit, to load new configuration data into the flash memory and force reconfiguration of the FPGA chip using this newly loaded data. Towards the end of the thesis, the functionality of the newly implemented system is tested in practice.
Quality of Service Assurance in UMTS Network
Nesveda, Marek ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with the assurance of the quality of service (QoS) in UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) networks. It consists of theoretic and practical parts. The first, theoretic part first describes the quality of service assurance in general and then focuses on the area of the assurance of the quality of service (QoS) in UMTS network environment specifically. It describes the QoS concept in UMTS, typical UMTS network architecture, its components as well as various QoS classes defined in UMTS. It explains parameters that define the quality of service in UMTS network, and describes call set-up for the purposes of transmission between end users. The second, practical part of the bachelor´s thesis describes how to configure a complex UMTS network simulation model in OPNET Modeler, ver..14.5. It gives a detailed description of how to configure each network component and how to set its parameters, in two different scenarios: first including and then excluding QoS. In conclusion, the thesis summarises the results of the simulation in both scenarios, gives their explanations and compares them graphically.
GLSL Based Engine
Šlesár, Michal ; Karas, Matej (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
Creating a graphical application running on a GPU typically involves configuring the GPU, creating and configuring the required objects, and then implementing the application's behavior itself. The aim of this work is to create a tool that would automate this configuration using the OpenGL application interface. As a result, the user would not have to waste time configuring and could quickly create and prototype graphics applications. In addition, the created tool adds new functionality to the application that is not native or supported on the GPU, such as working with a mouse and keyboard.
Security Risks in Passive Optical Networks
Šimoník, Jan ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the historical development of passive optical networks, according to the standards that was defined by International Telecommunication Union (APON, BPON, GPON, XG-PON and NG-PON). Further, the thesis describes the security of passive optical networks, but also a security threats which the deployment and use of passive optical technology carry. In the introductory chapters of this thesis the passive optical networks are described. The following is a description of the standards of passive optical networks in terms of their historical development. The next part is dedicated to the security of passive optical networks and possible security threats. In conclusion a description of the practical part of this thesis is given -- rack assembly, which will serve for future testing. The basic configuration of the optical line terminations that are fitted in the rack is also described. The last part of this diploma thesis is dedicated to the testing of selected security risks, which was described in the theoretical part of this thesis.
Local-Based and Cloud-Based Systems Management
Nováček, Radek ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Mlích, Jozef (advisor)
The master thesis deals with analysis of existing solutions and architecture design of new solutions for management of unix-like systems. The resulting system is usable for configuration of the local system over the D-Bus and remotely over the network. Usability for cloud computing has been considered during design.
