Chomutov 1945-48

Bachelor's thesis "Chomutov 1945-1948" deals with post Second World War events in Chomutov and its outskirts with an emphasis on everyday life and the resettlement of this area after expulsion of the ethnic Germans. The thesis is based primarily on printed, archival and Internet resources but as key information sources are used narrative of direct participants in these events and their memories and testimonies. In the introduction, the work attempts to outline the coexistence of the Czech minority in the pre-war period, briefly events in 1938, and life in the Third Reich to its collapse and reconnection of Chomutov to the Czechoslovak republic. In another part of the work the author is concerned with the deportation and persecution of the German population and its relations with the newcomers. The central part of the work is trying to outline the life of immigrants in this period. Using eyewitness accounts, it was possible to map the daily life of settlers and their problems, such as everyday supply problems, health care, education and childhood in this region. There is also mention about regional culture, sports and political situation. Use of model ecosystems near Chomutov in basic education

This paper focuses on the teaching of eco-tour by cyclo around Chomutov in basic education. The main objective of my DP is a cycling tour with a focus on the comparison of selected characteristics of ecosystems occurring in the area. As I chose the selected ecosystems - meadows and pastures, forests and water bodies. Selected location near Chomutov offers direct observation of these ecosystems provide a number of paths for nontraditional ways of teaching, using bicycle wheels. Developed materials include design incentive hours for after-school teaching materials in the field and the draft final hours. For after-school education in the field are handled by individual worksheets ecosystems - meadows and pastures, forests and water bodies. Besides these main worksheets, I created a set of other activities in the outdoors. They are practicing first aid package of games and competitions designed for environments and other attractions that can fill the time spent in nature. Next, I created a complete methodological guide for teachers, which are summarized in detail all the information for planning, progress and completion of the excursion. North Bohemian panel construction: Comparison of housing estates Severní Terasa, Ruprechtice and Březenecká

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is a comparison of three selected North Bohemian housing estates, which are the Březenecká housing estate in Chomutov, the Severní Terasa housing estate in Ústí nad Labem and the Ruprechtice housing estate in Liberec. These housing estates will be compared within three categories: construction and used technology; architecture and aesthetics of the housing estate; and demographic structure of the housing estate. These housing estates were selected according to the principles of comparability. In all three cases, these housing estates are panel buildings, designed in the 1960s and their construction began in 1970 at the latest. All of the housing estates were built in the North Bohemian Region. In addition to the comparison of housing estates, this work also contains a theoretical insight into the history of the construction of panel buildings in Czechoslovakia.

Gender and manpower in production companies in the Chomutov region

Diploma thesis "Gender and manpower in production companies in the Chomutov region" is focused on historically and sociologically oriented research of employment of men and women in production companies in the Chomutov region over last 50 and 70 years respectively. The main aspects which are included in the theoretical part of this work are gender relations in the production companies, that is the history of the employment of women, horizontal and vertical gender segregation including wages and salaries and employee education. The analyzed data are from the period of mid 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century and focus primarily on the production companies of The Tube and Iron Rolling Mill and their current successor Sandvik. By means of data analysis, the methodical part of the thesis describes differences and changes which have ocurred in the horizon of last 50 and 70 years in the manpower employment in production companies with respect to gender. Former convent church of St. Catherine in Chomutov

This thesis The history of the Teutonic Order and the foundations of the former convent church St. Catherine in Chomutov is focused on the historical development and the wellpreserved chorus conclusion of the former convent church St. Catherine in Chomutov. After a general discussion of the history of the Commandery of the Teutonic Knights and Chomutov discusses the work of wellpreserved Gothic choir concluded the convent church. Catherine in Chomutov. The bulk of the work is devoted to the building development, history and architectural description of the surviving parts. Preserved part is now part of Chomutov town hall.
