Conceptual design of a manned mobile lunar habitat (vehicle)
Design of Electric Urban Vehicle Chassis Components
Nebus, Martin ; Míša, Jiří (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of the chassis components of an electric urban vehicle and its final structural design. The introduction of the thesis contains the division of electric urban vehicles into different categories, which differ in various technical parameters. Subsequently, the different chassis components and their structural designs that can be found on these vehicles are mentioned. A conceptual design is involved in the selection of suitable parts, either commercially available or calculated to meet criteria such as functionality and reliability. The structural design, which has been developed based on FEM analyses, simulations and calculations, provides the final design of the chassis, brake and steering parts.
Vehicle suspension design and testing methods
Šenkeříková, Veronika ; Tobiáš, Martin (referee) ; Fojtášek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is dedicated to suspension systems and their typology. Furthermore, the basic geometric parameters of these systems are discussed in the thesis. Types of suspensions (axles) are classified according to the interdependence of individual wheels. Subsequently, the thesis provides an overview of simulation software for chassis development and testing in the virtual phase of development. These are divided according to computational principles, result evaluation, and environment. The last section addresses issues related to chassis testing and its properties as a whole, testing individual chassis components to verify durability etc. The thesis includes specific representatives of testing conditions. For each chassis component, a representative from each chassis subsystem is selected. This thesis provides a current overview of methods and tools used in the automotive industry for development and testing. It demonstrates the importance of both virtual testing and testing on testbeds for already finished products.
Chassis for Race Car Category E2
Šikuta, Lukáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This work deals with the design of chassis for race car category E2 made from aluminium honeycomb sandwich, design of roll cage and conception of engine mount. In the text are FEM analysis, which are focused on torsional rigidity of chassis and strength properties of roll cage.
Construcion of small-serie sport car
Brhel, Štěpán ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
The object of the bachelor thesis is to create review of used solutions to chassis and bodyschells of small-serie sport cars. Then selection of proper driving units, so engines and gearboxes. Last part considers rules governing connivance of small-serie sport cars for common traffic.
Development and weight reduction of central housing for commercial vehicles
Blecha, Martin ; Pittl, Michal (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the clarification of the central housing function and its placement in a truck. The central housing function and placement depend on a vehicle chassis design. There is the weight optimization of the housing which is solved in the practical part of the thesis. The optimization is based on strength calculations of the Finite Element Method. There are weight savings and financial savings evaluated at the end of the thesis.
Testing of Vehicle Suspension Components
Šidla, František ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with issues related to testing car chassis components during development. Automobile transport is the most common type of long-distance transport. That's why vehicles are constantly evolving to provide the best possible performance. Increasing demands on consumers are being placed on vehicles because of the introduction of modern technologies. New technologies and concepts need to be thoroughly tested that they can be properly integrated into existing models. Test devices for determining the characteristics of the chassis are generally described here using specific examples of individual machines. Subsequently, the work clarifies the testing of the service life of individual parts of the chassis. The last part is devoted to the conceptual design of a simplified hydraulic device for testing coil springs. From the calculated characteristics, a hydraulic actuator and pump are selected from the relevant catalogues. In conclusion, the importance of car testing in development is summarized, individual types of testing are described and the readiness of test devices for the future is indicated.
Modern Materials for Automotive Industry
Vaníček, Jan ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on the description of conventional and unconventional materials that are used to build a car. Individual types of materials are sorted according to their application and characterized in terms of properties and real use. The end of each chapter is devoted to possible future trends.
Possibility of hazardous environment monitoring
Mach, Jan ; Musil, Martin (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is about mobile robotics and usage it in electricity industry. First part solve ability of taking the fences and provide basic facts about mobile robotics, kind of chassis and purpose of usage to reader. Second part includes concepts of truck and position device with monitoring system. This concepts solve submission with reference to utility of monitoring device, mobile robot and price. Output of this work is constructive solving of mobile monitoring robot.
Urban three-wheeled vehicle with electric drive
Černík, Adam ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Tobiáš, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the conceptual design of the chassis of a three-wheeled. The total payload od the vehicle is 160 kg. At the beginning, the work deals with the search for different types of chassis in used three-wheeled vehicles. The advantages and disadvantages of various chassis concepts and the subsequent choice of one them are also summarized. Then the conceptual parameters of the vehicle are selected. At the end a 3D model is modelled in program Inventor, which corresponds to the selected conceptual parameters. This model is used to visualize the designed chassis of three-wheeled vehicle.
