Traffic Signs Detection and Recognition
Číp, Pavel ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The thesis deals with traffic sign detection and recongnition in the urban environment and outside the town. A precondition for implementation of the system is built-in camera, usually in a car rear-view mirror. The camera scans the scene before the vehicle. The image data are transfered to the connected PC, where the data are transformation to information and evalutations. If the sign was detected the system is visually warned the driver. For a successful goal is divided into four separate blocks. The first part is the preparing of the image data. There are color segmentation with knowledge of color combination traffic signs in Czech Republic. Second part is deals with shape detection in segmentation image. Part number three is deals with recognition of inner pictogram and its finding in the image database. The final part is the visual output of displaying founded traffic signs. The thesis has been prepader so as to ensure detection of all relevant traffic signs in three basic color combinations according to existing by Decree of Ministry of Transport of Czech Republic. The result is the source code for the program MATLAB. .
Person Identification Based on Locomotion
Pražák, Ondřej ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
This paper deals with study of human movement and using that in identification. In the first part of my work are explained characteristics of human movement and factors which take effect on these characteristics. Practical part is dealing with design of program which is solving mentioned problems. The input of program is created by video sequence with lateral movement of human. The program is finding coordinates of lower limbs joints. From this coordinates are created locomotion characteristics used for human identification. Matching of time behaviors is based on correlation.
Mapping of Road Signs Using Image Processing Methods
Leško, Vladimír ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
The following Bachelor's Thesis deals with traffic sign recognition in video clips, obtaining GPS records and inserting traffic sings with accurate GPS co-ordinates into OSM central database. In each of Thesis' chapters are in sequence introduced methods of image detection and classification, consecutive familiarization with OSM project and its JOSM plug-in. Afterwards there will be presented an application and an applicative plug-in design and implementation process. The final chapter is represented as the results of testing the application in 10 video clips. The conclusion contains an evaluation of the Thesis with possible extensions.
The simulation of biometric protection systems working on the face recognition principle
Dubský, Milan ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Atassi, Hicham (advisor)
The aim of this work is to realize a system in the Matlab-Simulink environment, which will be able to detect and recognize the human face from the input image. The created model will actually simulate the biometric security systems working on the principle of face recognition. The work is divided into two parts. In the first part, several methods for face detection from image are described. We focused on the symptomatic oriented and color segmentation methods. The pattern matching method is also described and implemented; the advantage ofthe pattern matching that it can be used either for face detection or face recognition. The second part of this work contains a description of the face recognition. Where PCA (Principal Component Analysis) are used for this task, this part of the work also includes experimental results of tests performed on our methods.
Eye-blink detection
Jeništa, Petr ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Vlach, Jan (advisor)
The merits of my Bachelor's Thesis is description of the theoretical principles of methods which are used for eye-blink detection. This work discribes methods for location of human face in a frame with the comlex background. The next principes of the work are different manners how we can find eyes in the frame and its sequential tracking. The last part is the eye analysis and the evaluation whether blinking went ahead or not. There are describes different intermedia which is used for processing of the numerical frame. At the close of the work is described the practical realization of some mentioned methods, thus the realization of algorithm which detects blinking eyes pair.
Usage of advanced signal processing techniques for motor traffic safety enhancement
Beneš, Radek ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Atassi, Hicham (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the recognition of road signs in the video sequence. Such systems increase the traffic safety and are implemented by major car factories in the manufactured cars (Opel, BMW). First, the motivation for the utilisation of these systems is presented, followed by the survey of the current state of the art methods. Finally, a specific road-sign detection method is chosen and described in detail. The method uses advanced techniques of signal processing. Segmentation method in color space is used for sign detection and subsequent classification is accomplished by linear classification with optional use of PCA method. In addition, the method contains the prediction of road sign positions based on Kalman filtering. Implemented system yields relatively accurate results and overall analysis and discussion is enclosed.
Automatic Creation of Lightsabre Effects
Vagner, Ondřej ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Žák, Pavel (advisor)
The lightsabre effect is probably one of the most famous movie effects. Its creation is usually done manually which is time consuming. This paper presents an original approach of automatic lightsabre effect creation in the video. Key element of the entire method is detection of sword imitation in the video sequence and its replacement with desired effect.
