Sports and Leisure Centre Brno

The theme of the dissertation titled the Centre of Sport and Leisure Time in Brno is a design of a relaxing and sport site „Centrum Lužánky“. The subject of this project is architectonic-city-planning study, which deals with elaborating a concept of a sport centre behind Lužánky in Brno-Ponava. This dissertation contains details of the facility and the area of the current swimming pool Lužánky. The current state of the facility built in 1979 doesn’t meet requirements of visitors and sportsmen anymore. The main aim of this project is the reconstruction of the current fifty-meter swimming pool, a design of a new swimming pool placed under the ground floor of the current building, which will provide space for organizing international competitions, trainings of professional sportsmen, etc. At the same time the busyness of the current swimming pools would be lowered by building a new indoor and outdoor waterpark, especially for the group of recreational visitors. The attractiveness of the facility will be increased by the newly designed park relaxing area and proposed multipurpose area, used as a sports field in the summer and as an ice ring in the winter. Additional value of the facility is comprised by an indoor and outdoor café and large relaxing area on the roof of the waterpark. The whole area increases the community facility availability by a proposed wide range of services for health, relax and sport. The advantage of the whole concept is the mutual connection of all facilities. The entrance to the area is shortened by a designed pedestrian bridge, accessible from the south and north busy areas. The whole project is enhanced by increased number of new parking places, located particularly along the access road, the street Sportovní, going through a green zone. The Analysis of Selected Swimming Pools in Prague

Title: The Analysis of Selected Swimming Pools in Prague Objectives: The aim of my thesis is to create an analysis of selected swimming pools and to compare them to each others. Furthermore, the thesis should show the threats and opportunities of the selected swimming pools. Methods: The case analysis was chosen as the main research method. In the preparation of this analysis other methods were applied, such as intentional selection, document analysis and semi-structured interview. Based on the results the SWOT analysis was developed. Through this method the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the selected swimming pools are shown. The final comparison of all the swimming pools was made using all the previously mentioned methods. Results: The analysis shows that we can label all the selected swimming pools in Prague as functional swimming pools. Functional swimming pools do not lose money, nor do they profit. However, it was proved that none of the chosen swimming pools would be able to function without getting some form of grants. The location of a swimming pool does not influence the number of visitors coming there. Every location has its advantages and disadvantages. The task of the thesis is analysis of suitable methods and procedures for valuation of selected sports complex. The thesis covers the valuation of complex Kohoutovice swimming pool. The aim is to determine or estimate the expenses that are related to the operation of the complex and to analyze revenues. Besides its own valuation of swimming pool complex are the results of determine criteria that may affect revenues of sports complex.
Geodetic Deformation Measurement of Roof Structures of Brno Aquapark

Diploma thesis is focused on deformation meassurement of wooden roof structure of Brno Aquapark. Introductory part of the thesis is devoted to explanation of basic terms of civil constructions deformation meassurement and describes methods which are used in this field nowadays. Main part of this thesis deals with testing of meassuring equipment, describes meassured construction, meassuring method and data processing. Horizontal and vertical shifts of the roof structure are evaluated and graphically interpreted in comparison with the previous and fundamental epoch.

Object of Diploma thesis is the structural design of a load bearing structure of the aquapark in the Brno area. The main structure is designed as lamella arch on the cylindrical surface with one curvature with 30 m span and 4.5 m camber. The structural material is glue-laminated timber with inner steel plate joints.

The subject of the master´s thesis is the architectural study of Spa world at Brno dam. The Spa is designed as part of the Aqua park, which was solved in atelier´s project. The building is located close to the Brno dam in hilly terrain. The proposed Spa world offers visitors the opportunity to relax, rehabilitation and entertainment in a variety of saunas. The Aqua Park is also a restaurant, massage, fitness center, shop, indoor and outdoor swimming pool.

It´s offering regeneration of body and soul, habituating people to doing regular exercises and live a healthy life, creating intimate atmosphere for informal business meetings and for natural development of personal relationships.
Analysis of Marketing Mix Tools of Aquapalace Prague

The primary purpose of this study is to characterize the marketing mix of the aquapark Aquapalace Prague, i.e. the product, price, distribution channel (place), marketing communication (promotion), people, physical evidence and processes. In addition, this bachelor thesis analyzes the marketing environment including micro-environment and macro-environment. All these factors are integrated in SWOT analysis, which helps marketers to focus on key issues. On the basis of the results of this analysis, some recommendations are suggested.
