This master's thesis is oriented on software development processes improvement techniques. It presents modern approaches of process development and analyses problems of their management and usage in various life cycle phases. In connection with these techniques it brings draft of support tool, which increases automatization of processes development with pertinent cooperation with other tools, as one of presumptions of improvement of their quality.

Purpose of this thesis is to design system to support agile software development in virtual teams. Agile development methodology and some available tools to support it are listed here in this thesis, in order to use the system in a wide range of devices, theoretical analysis of multi-platform application development options are listed. The following sections describe the design and implementation witch using web technologies. At the end the system is demonstrated on model situation and extension its designed.

The Application of Agile Methods in the Process of Strategic Materials

This master thesis focuses on the agile methods description and their use in creating of company strategic material. The main part of this thesis consist of the SCRUM and Kanban method. The work contribution is an optimization of the document creation process. The solution proposed is implemented through the MS SharePoint server with mind mapping module and Kanban board module. Thanks to this solution, company project can be managed in a more effective, faster and higher quality way.
Design Thinking method Design Sprint

The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the Design Sprint method to readers on both theoretical level and practical level of understanding. The bachelor thesis itself is composed of five chapters: The first chapter speaks about the topic, goals, and the structure. The second chapter introduces to readers the term of Design Thinking and the concept behind it as well as methods that are based on Design Thinking followed by the third chapter, in which the Design Sprint is introduced. The fourth chapter describes usage of Design Sprint on a real project and the fifth chapter summarize all the results and objectives.
Application of modern elements in classical project management

This thesis deals with project management and with different ways in which can be cur-rently approached. Beside the conventional, classical approach based on processes, modern approaches based on the theory of constraints and agile principles are discussed. Based on analysis, the main objective of the thesis is firstly to find weaknesses in the classical project management and strong key elements of modern approaches and after that to make suggestions to enhance the classical approach with the selected strong elements of modern approaches.
Project manager as manager of the project team

The thesis topic is linking of knowledge from psychology and psychodiagnosis within project management. The thesis has several aims, which are all introduced in the first chapter. One of those aims is the introduction of contemporary ways, methods and standards used in project management. Another aim is equipping a project manager with knowledge from psychology and psychodiagnosis, which still constitute a comparatively neglected area of project management. What their utilization can actually do is to increase the efficiency and performance of project teams. The final aim is to come up with a solution to identified problems based on the conducted research. The second chapter of the thesis explains basic terms of project management, its standards and methodology, and duties of a project manager. The part devoted to psychology deals with personality, psychodiagnostic methods, team and motivation. The fourth chapter pursues the conduct and evaluation of research of contemporary project management. Finally, problems identified based on the findings from questionnaire survey are dealt with within the fifth chapter. It contains instructions for choice of appropriate way of project management, draft of the process of building a project team and a concept to achieve greater work satisfaction of team members.
Scaling of agile methodologies

Agile methodologies have become a routine part of software development. Despite their initial focus on small and local teams working on relatively simple applications, the current trend is their application to development of large and complex systems. This work provides a general introduction to agile methodologies, including the extent of their use in practice, limitations of these methods together with the introduction of the concept of scaling. The work is then devoted to starting points and the general approaches to scaling. In conclu-sion, the practical part of the work proposes methodology for evaluating performance of agile methodologies in projects. The aim is to provide an overview of agile methodologies and subsequently particularly analyze soft, organizational problems that are related to scaling agile methodologies. This work can serve as tool for management, or project office when considering adoption of agile methods.
Web applications to support managing small projects

This thesis deals with description and analysis of market with web applications to support small business projects. In a theoretical part the reader is familiar with basic concepts relating to project management. Furthermore, reader is familiar with methodology for project management and software development. Part of the theoretical part is analysis of market with web applications. To conclude the theoretical part is found out support of methodologies. A practical part, on the contrary aims, set requirements for a small project. According to these requirements are selected web applications. These web applications are described and according to criterions is selected single web application. In conclusion thesis is reviewed feedback from students. The main contribution of this thesis is found out support of methodologies, overview of free apps, user's guide to application TeamBox and feedback from students subject 4IT115.
Research of agile development tools

Agile methodologies get more and more into the awareness of project managers. Long-term and unsuccessful projects can mean big risk for companies. Especially in highly competitive industries rapid delivery of a functional product is preferred to comprehensive documentation. For efficient management of agile development appropriate tools are needed. This bachelor thesis is based on these tools. It describes the current state in the market in these instruments, explaining what it can offer to agile teams and it also represents the best-known products of companies like Rally Software, VersionOne, TargetProcess and ExtremePlanner. For product comparison there are appropriate criteria proposed in the thesis. The results of the comparison are identified advantages and disadvantages of each instrument for both the community and the enterprise version of the software.
