Development of Educational System in Pelhřimov Region with Concentration on a Small School with Mixed-age Classes in Častrov village

1 ABSTRAKT The aim of the thesis was to eleborate the development process of the Častrov comprehensive primary school in the district Pelhřimov based on the school chronicles and refer to the contribution of the acquired knowledge for the schoolwork. The theoretical part is devoted to the study of commemorative books and also in the wider perspective of the whole P elhřimovsko region. The practical part describes a project carried out with pupils of this school. The purpose was to acquaint the pupils with the history of Častrov school through activation methods and have their impact on the school and the place where they live.
Parent's acquaintance with curriculum reform

This thesis is of a theoretical nature: it does not include any field research. It includes a proposal for an elementary school brochure-guide for parents in Czech Republic, created by the author of this thesis. The thesis summarizes findings on the educational curriculum reform in the Czech Republic, which took place in 2007, and analyses ways in which parents were informed. The text focuses first on the reform itself, its objectives and its basic features. It then analyses the relationship between family and school, stating that parents as a group are of major importance for the successful implementation of the reform. It is therefore crucial to properly understand this group. In connection with the reform and its importance for parents, the text deals with how the informational campaign was conceived in the Czech Republic and in the UK. The 'Guide for Parents of English pupils aged 5 to 7 years' is then described as a source of ideas. Based on this, a proposal for a brochure-guide was created to be used as informational material for parents in the Czech Republic.

The diploma work is primarily focused on the school system reform in 1930s' in Czechoslovakia led by Václav Príhoda. It detaily elaborates a Príhoda's new method of teaching, especially the individual approach to a teacher- pupil relationship. The goal of this diploma work is to analyse the individual approach implementation in detail on a theoretical and practical level. In theory, it is a description and an analysis of the Příhoda's method of the unitary and internally differentiated education with a respect to pupil's individuality. The practical level is represented by conclusions coming from the experimental work focused on theoretical rules in praxis application, provided by reformational schools. The diploma work has a historical and didactic meaning. The purpose of this diploma thesis is to find out, whether selected elementary art schools, operating under the same conditions in the same district, have chosen the same ways of creating and implementing SEP (School Educational Programme). The creation of SEP could be conceived either innovatively or by expansion of existing curriculum. The thesis also deals with the question, whether schools included in the research continuously work on their SEP and, simultaneously, whether they are able to edit and improve it according to the feedback and experience obtained in practice. The last area of research is an issue of teaching according to SEP. The thesis investigates its pros and cons from the point of view of each included school.

School Self-Evaluation and Transformation of School Education Programmes

The thesis "School self-evaluation and transformation of school education programmes" deals with elementary school self-evaluation. It is primarily focused on analyzing outcomes of self-evaluation activities that are indtended to develop schools and adjust school education programmes. The research is based on interviews with directors and teachers from elementary schools in Prague and could be used as an overview of the current state of Czech schools. It also offers recommendations for improving schools.

It is a comprehensive characterization of the profession including history, descriptions school of social work in several national systems of education (for example USA, England, Finland, etc.), analysis of target groups and content of school social work, which is supplemented by examples from practice. The empirical part of the work aims to determine whether the elementary schools in Praque are interested in introduction of position of school social worker and reasons of introduction. Other aims are to map the situation in solving educational problems at Prague's elementary schools, the views of the respondents to content of the activity school social worker and his authorization and also to map out how many of Prague's elementary schools have already established. The respondents were directors of the elementary schools, educational consultants and experts in prevention.
