Injury risks and their analysis in czech parkour community

Title: Injury risks and their analysis in czech parkour community Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out when, where and how the most common injuries in parkour happen, which individual body segments are most affected and a comparison of injury rates between parkour competitors and non- competitors. Methods: The main methods used were analysis, synthesis and questionnaire survey. The subjects were parkour players aged 15 years and older. The questionnaire survey was used to obtain key information on injuries to recreational and elite parkour athletes. Results: 90% of parkour athletes have suffered at least one injury in the last 3 years of parkour training. The average number of injuries in 3 years of training is for competitive parkour athletes 3.03 and for non-competitive parkour athletes 2.77. The most common type of parkour injury is joint injury i.e. in 44% (n=57 responses). The most common skills that cause injuries in parkour are flips i.e. 36% (n= 40 responses) and jumps (precision, tictac, catleap and others) i.e. 32% (n= 36 responses). First aid knowledge ice hockey players

Title: Level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey players Objectives: The main aim of this study was to determine the level of first aid knowledge of ice hockey players. The sub-objective is to determine whether education affects first aid knowledge. The second sub-objective is to determine whether graduates of first aid courses achieve better results than individuals who have never taken a course in their life. Methods: Quantitative data collection through a survey was used to meet the objectives. The questionnaire survey was conducted by internet distribution using Google forms. The target group were active ice hockey players. A total of 42 participants took part in the survey. The first half of the survey dealt with general information about respondents while the second half focused on general first aid knowledge and dealing with the most common injuries in ice hockey. The data was processed and subsequently evaluated. Objectives: Based on the survey, it was found that ice hockey players did not demonstrate sufficient knowledge of first aid. Respondents answered with an average success rate of 69 %. It was also found that the results were influenced based on previous participation in a first aid course. Title: Conservative treatment of proximal humerus fractures in the elderly: literature review Objectives: The aim of this thesis is a search processing mostly foreign available sources in the field of proximal humerus fractures in the elderly. The analyzed studies focus on the effectiveness of early therapy using early mobilization and also on the aspects that lead to the persistence of problems related to this diagnosis in the elderly. These studies are evaluated and compared on the basis of theoretical knowledge of the issue. The purpose of this work is to obtain an up-to-date overview of the issue and to present evidence of the effectiveness of this type of treatment. Methods: The diploma thesis is processed in the form of a literary research. The sources were researched in the PubMed, PEDro, MEDLINE, EBSCOhost, Scopus and Web of Science databases. The first part of the thesis contains a theoretical introduction to the issue of aging and related changes, it also focuses on fractures of the proximal humerus and their treatment. The second part of the work has a descriptive - analytical character and contains an analysis of selected studies that focus on the evaluation of early therapy after fractures of the proximal humerus. Title: Ankle joint injuries in young volleyball players, prevention options and subsequent rehabilitation Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the number of injuries in the junior category of the 1st league and extra league volleyball in the Czech Republic with a focus on ankle joint injuries. Another goal is to examine the course of follow-up care after the injury and to find out the most frequently used preventive measures for the elimination of injuries. Methods: The basis of this diploma thesis was quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire survey. To obtain the data, a non-standardized questionnaire was created, which included questions about injuries with a focus on the ankle joint, prevention rates and forms of follow-up care after the injury. The obtained data were processed using descriptive statistics and contingency tables, especially in Microsoft Excel 2003, and converted into a graphical form. Results: 92 % of players were injured in the junior category of the 1st league and extra league of the top volleyball. Terezie Kerdová Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient Diagnosed with Distal Radius Fracture Objectives: This undergraduate thesis is aimed to introduce basic information about the distal radius fracture and treatment options of this diagnosis. The practical part is aimed to compose case report of the patient diagnosed with distal radius fracture. Methods: The thesis contains a theoretical part describing basic information about the structure and kinesiology of the forearm and hand, grips, fractures of the distal radius fracture and the treatment options for this diagnosis. The special part contains anamnesis, initial examination, description of therapy units, final examination and final evaluation of the therapy's effect. The case study was made during the continuous professional practice in CLPA in Prague 9 from 10.1.2022 to 6.2.2022 Results: Thanks to the therapies the weakened muscles strengthened and the wrist's and forearm's reduced range of motion increased. School Injuries in Physical Education Classes at the Primary School

The aim of thesis is to provide a comprehensive picture of the selected areas of frequent school injuries in physical education classes in primary schools not only pedagogical, but also from a health point of view. The theoretical part deals with injuries of younger school age children, school injuries (especially in physical education classes) and their preventive measures, safety at work in physical education classes. It defines the most common types of injuries in physical education classes in primary schools, their prevention and following first aid. The work shows what to do in case of an accident of pupil and how to properly proceed directly at scene of the accident. To avoid legal penalties for teacher, we also mention the right way to report injury, injury record and we deal with book of injuries. Empirically oriented part and its questionnaire survey demonstrates what level of knowledges are reaching selected physical education teachers of elementary schools in the area of legal issues, injury prevention and laic first aid. Titel: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of the fracture of the distal antebrachium Goals: The goal of this thesis is to summerize theoretical and practical information about fracture of distal antebrachium, to peruse sources of this problems and to concieve adequate therapy. Methods: The theoretical part is describing anatomy and functional kinesiology of the antebrachium and hand, then fractures of the distal antebrachium. The thesis considers mostly conservative treatment, complications of treatment and following therapy. The practical part is the describing aplication of gained theoretical knowledges about concrete diagnosis. It contains incoming kineziological assessment and conclusion, which makes short- term rehabilitation plan. Title: Injury rate in the ski resorts in the Czech Republic Objectives: Objective of thesis is to obtain knowledges about injury rate in the ski resorts in the Czech republic Methods: I determined and processed information regarding all data about injury rate during winter seasons from 2003/2004 to 2012/2013 in the Czech Republic. Main source of all data was the database of Mountain Rescue Service in the Czech republic. Results: My results show summary of the total number of accidents in each winter seasons. Assessment of injuries and painful conditions in Irish dancing in CZ and Europe

Author: Anežka Kudrnová Title: Assessment of injuries and painful conditions in Irish dancing in CZ and Europe The goals of the thesis: The goal of this thesis is introduction of Irish dancing with its specification, and its current state here in the Czech Republic and in Central Europe. Further, mapping of the most common injuries and painful conditions, assessing the quality of preparation of the organism for the strain. Methodology: In this thesis a research was conducted of foreign and Czech sources addressing Irish dancing from historical point of view, organisation and primarily injuries. For mapping of the most common injuries, their causes and solution methods were chosen anonymous non-standardised questionnaires. These questionnaires were distributed to dancers from different states, all dancing categories, with age limitation only on the bottom level and that of 12 years old. From 150 distributed questionnaires were returned 130 completely filled and their results were processed by Microsoft Excel. Results: On the bases of the research it was ascertained, that absolute majority of the injuries occurred during Irish dancing, is localised on lower limbs. More than a half of all injuries is then related to the area of the hock joint. From external causes are the dancers affected mostly by footwear....
