The digitization of work in social sciences lessons at high school

The thesis focuses on professional and didactical points of view on digitalization in high school social science education. The aim of the thesis is to create a series of lessons for high schools (grammar schools) based on research on digitalization, which is supposed to aid students in better orientation at the labour market. At the same time, the didactical part is designed to be used and adapted by teachers interested in the topic. The theoretical part presents the professional background of the prepared lessons including key words, corresponding arguments and the general work basis of the author. Professional topics are transformed into a form didactically appropriate at the chosen level of secondary education (grammar schools). The practical part consists of a series of lessons focusing on changes in the labour market related to digitalization and technology development. Individual lessons are dedicated to online sharing economy platforms such as Uber and Airbnb, which change the concept of work in today's society and determine new working conditions of employees. The Topic of Middle Ages in the Curriculum of the Educational Theme a Human and his World.

This thesis "The topic of Middle Ages within a historical curriculum of the educational area Humans and their world" deals with the issue of children's development of historical thinking and its usage in the historical teaching, which is focused on Middle-Ages, at primary school. The theoretical part of this thesis aims at the educational area Humans and their world, its development through history and its analysis. This educational area is compared with teaching of historical topics at primary school involved in selected foreign educational curriculums. The theoretical part deals with historical thinking and psychological theories. The practical part of this thesis depicts set up and realization of thematic unit which is focused on the period of the house of Přemyslovci. This thematic unit aims at the development of historical thinking competence, which should be achieved by completion of particular goals. These goals focus on working with sources, various interpretations of historical events and also on deepening of pupil's relationship to history. At the end of this thesis, the thematic unit is assessed. Project Teaching in Teaching of Human Rights in Civics

This diploma thesis deals in the theoretical part with comparing the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Constitution with the Declaration of Human Rights in the sense of historical acceptance in the two countries under consideration. It includes a proposal for a educational project in this area (e.g. the creation of supporting worksheets). It deals with the topic of Human Rights in FEP for Elementary Education and specific SEPs of selected schools. The diploma thesis focuses on the preparation of a new Human Rights education project using selected effective methods. The proposal of this project will be based on the comparison of already existing educational projects.

Observance of Traditions and Customs in Bohemia and in Moravia

The dissertation Observance of traditions and customs in Bohemia and in Moravia focuses on issues of Czech and Moravian traditions, customs and holidays, namely on two important holidays Easter and Christmas. These two holidays are the most significant events of ecclesiastical year but they are favourite as well among inhabitants of the Czech Republic, in particular Christmas. Various customs and traditions are handed down from generation to generation and they occupy a significant position in people's lives. In the introduction the terms that are important for this work are explained as well as the significance of traditions and customs for culture, current situation of culture is mentioned as well. This work presents description of the two mentioned holidays in the context of Czech culture. In the second part of this work you can find comparison of selected elements with regard to particular Czech and Moravian customs. Apart from presenting of presented Easter and Christmas customs and their comparison, the work aims to define tendencies which occured and name these tendencies. In the conclusion, the findings about differences between Czech and Moravian customs are summarized and defined, the prognosis about future development of observing customs is mentioned as well. Topic of Islam in the Teaching of Basics of Civics and Social Sciences

The diploma thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The first part deals with the theory in the form of a basic and brief introduction into the subject of Islam from the religious and anthropological point of view. Similarly, Czech society's perception of Islam is discussed as well as expert's and general public's estimation of teaching about Islam. Subsequently, the characteristics of stated educational topic and its placement into the broader context of education will be dealt with, the Framework Educational Program will be used as a means of comparison. The teaching of the stated topic and the controversy of it will be specified. In the practical part of the thesis, a qualitative research will be carried out, followed by its interpretation, which will take place with the participation of high school teachers. The diploma thesis will be focused on the identification of various concepts of teaching of this topic, it will attempt to critically view and formulate the recommendation for the current issues of the teaching of Islam, for it is a present topic that should not be omitted within the Citizenship Education. Doctoral dissertations: Philosophy of Education and Hermeneutics of the Chorismos Author: Zbyněk Zicha ABSTRACT: The dissertation addresses two areas of philosophical thinking, philosophy of education and an area of thinking of chorismos. The task of this dissertation is to indicate the possibility of rethinking their mutual concurrence. The work explores the philosophy of education as idiosyncratic ground of thought capable of receiving inspiration coming from thinking of chorismos. The author was inspired by interpretations of chorismos written with regard to Jan Patocka's thinking. The dissertation starts with an opening (the first chapter.) and with an introduction to problems (2nd ch.). The next chapter focuses on searching for the the meaning, essence and basic opportunities of philosophy of education (3rd ch.) that is followed by preliminary inquiry of hermeneutics of chorismos in relation to the philosophy of education (4th). There is a key section reflecting on the importance of hermeneutics of chorismos for philosophy of education (4.4) in the 4th chapter. Cooperations of seniors and students of elementary school in the educational area of social studies

The key topics of this project are intergenerational relationships, in the means of creating a positive approach towards ageing in elementary school kids. Regarding the fact of demographic ageing of the population, active engagement of seniors into public life and profitable usage of their experience are both a current matter. The theoretical part of this thesis discusses intergenerational relationships, defines old age as equal to other stages of life and questions various stances and values. The practical part offers guidance to the developing process of collaboration between elementary school kids and seniors, in the area of social studies. The aim of intergenerational cooperation is going to be, through conversations, shared memories and further work with them, the increase of kids' concern about modern history and enhancement of respect towards ageing, therefore prevention of ageism.
