Modern therapy of chondral defects
Neckař, Pavel ; Havlas, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Zeman, Petr (referee) ; Tuček, Michal (referee)
The thesis describes the application of cultured bone marrow stem cells in the therapy of focal chondral defect of the knee joint. In the experimental part of the work, the goal was to quantitatively and qualitatively compare two sampling sites of bone marrow monocytic aspirates, the iliac crest bone and the proximal tibia, in order to determine a suitable cell source for advanced cell therapy. The sample analysis showed that the amount of monocytic cells and the yield of stem cells from the aspirate obtained were significantly higher in the bone marrow from the iliac crest. We did not find significant qualitative differences between the two sources of stem cells. In the clinical part of the work, I present a description of the surgical procedure and the results of a 1-year follow-up of patients after the implantation of cultured stem cells from the bone marrow, under the name BiCure® orthoMSCp (Bioinova, Prague, Czech Republic), fixed on a commercially available 3D scaffold Chondrotissue® (BioTissue AG, Geneva, Switzerland) using coagulated autologous platelet-rich plasma. The primary objective of the clinical study included the evaluation of the short-term and long-term safety of the applied medical product. The secondary objective of the work included the assessment of the effectiveness of the...
Excitation device of the physical axle model
Zeman, Petr ; Čížek, Petr (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
The main objective of this thesis was to design an excitation device for a full-axle test station for the simulation of a crossing test over bump, used to verify the springing and damping properties of passenger car wheel suspensions. The motivation for the development of the excitation device of the all-axle station was the need to test the properties of the suspension elements in a real scale, and to add a new form of excitation for the axle model that is built in the laboratory of the IMD FME. Until now, this had only one excitation option, a vibration resonator. Firstly, a virtual dynamic axle model was created by crossing an obstacle in Matlab Simulink, which was mainly used to determine the force load exerted by the simulator. The proposed device is divided into a weighing arm and a drive unit. Using the designed device, the obstacle crossing can be simulated with a height of up to 5 cm at a speed of up to 30 km/h and an axle weight of up to 800 kg. The device also records the force exerted from the wheel to the pad throughout and after the excitation. The developed device meets the specified space and modal behaviour requirements, which does not interfere with the force measurement process. The device operates by forcing a cylindrical barrier under the axle wheel and, in conjunction with an existing axle model, forms a crossover test simulator that will be used for the development and experimental verification of automotive suspension components, such as MR dampers in particular.

Zeman, Petr ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
The Jawa 50 motorcycles, produced in several models between 1958 and 1982, were equipped with several types of ignitions. From the current point of view, they are not satisfactory. The bachelor´s thesis describes the original designs, the commercial and amateur modifications of the ignition and its advantages and disadvantages, and deals with the innovative design and variants of mounting by individual coils. The work further deals with production of the ignition body by choosing a semi-finished product, machines and tools and compilation of a technological procedure and drawing documentation.
Criminological Aspects of the Drug-related Crime
Kuľhová, Lívia ; Zeman, Petr (advisor) ; Hořák, Jaromír (referee)
The subject of this thesis is the issue of criminological aspects of drug-related crime. This topic is considerably wide, therefore this thesis focuses on two specific aspects of this particular crime: the relationship between drug use and crime and the criminal careers of drug-addicted offenders. Since these two aspects are still being overlooked in the Czech Republic, the aim of this thesis is to introduce this issue using foreign literature and to complement it with my own research carried out within the Capital City of Prague. The first part of the thesis (Chapters 1 and 2) represents an introduction into the issue of drug-related crime. First, it explains basic notions that are essential to know for easy orientation within the thesis. Then, it discusses the history of drug abuse in the Czech Republic from 1918 until nowadays, and also complements current situation with an actual drug policy strategy. The second part of this thesis (Chapters 3 and 4) focuses on acquainting with the issue of the relationship between drug use and crime and the criminal careers. Using mostly foreign literature, it looks at these specific problems from two different perspectives: describing both the most famous theories and models and the most recent or well-known empirical researches. The last part of the thesis...
Criminological Aspects of Drug-Related Crime
Svojtka, Matěj ; Zeman, Petr (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Criminological Aspects of Drug-Related Crime The thesis deals with the topic of criminological aspects of drug-related crime. Due to the breadth of the issue, the work is focused only on the so-called primary drug crime, which is understood as a criminal activity consisting in violating the regulations governing the handling of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Specifically, it deals with crime associated with the unauthorized handling of cannabis. The main goal of this work is to answer the question whether the criminal law regulation of unauthorized handling of cannabis chosen by the legislator is appropriate and respects in a reasonable way the specific criminological aspects related to cannabis. The first part focuses on explaining some basic terms that are used in the work. The second part deals with the interpretation of terms that are specifically related to the issue of illicit handling of cannabis. Also it includes the issue of the harmfulness of cannabis use and describes the state and trends of crime associated with cannabis use. The third part deals with the international treaties by which the Czech Republic is bound in terms of regulation of cannabis handling. For legislators, key international agreements are a starting point and at the same time a limit in the creation of...
Single-Bundle versus Double-Bundle Technique of the Anatomical Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
Zeman, Petr ; Koudela, Karel (advisor) ; Skála-Rosenbaum, Jiří (referee) ; Kalina, Radim (referee)
Purpose of the study: The aim of the study is to present a comparison of two years result of double-bundle versus single-bundle anatomical reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament using hamstring tendons and their fixation with bioabsorbable interference screws. Material and methods: A total of 110 patients with an isolated anterior cruciate ligament rupture and the healthy contralateral knee who met the indication criteria for double- bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction were intra-operatively allocated at random to either double-bundle group (DB, n=55) or single-bundle group (SB, n=55). At two years after surgery, 82 patients (DB group, n=43; SB group, n=39), comprising 66 men and 16 women, were evaluated; the average age was 29 years and the injury-to- surgery interval was 81 days. Pre-operative and post-operative subjective criteria involved the subjective IKDC and Lysholm score were evaluated. Objectively, the occurrence of graft failure, range of motion deficit, return to pre-injury sports activity, side-to-side difference in anterior laxity of both knees in 20ř flexion on a GNRB laximeter at an applied pressure of 124 N and 250 N, and pivot shift phenomenon were assessed. Results: No statistically significant difference was found in pre-operative values between the two...

The studied group included a total of 7 professional and 48 recreational athletes (33 men and 22 women), with the mean age of 34.4 in group 1 and 31.1 in...
Criminological Aspects of Drug-Related Crime
Cieslar, Tomáš ; Zeman, Petr (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
This thesis deals with selected issues of criminological aspects of primary drug-related crime conducted in the Czech Republic, focusing mainly on the criminal offence of unauthorised production and other disposal with narcotic and psychotropic substances and poisons under section 283 of the Czech Criminal Code. The theoretical part of the thesis describes drug- related crime in general, it also discusses the Czech legislation regarding drug-related criminal offences in the Criminal Code, and it also focuses on theoretical approaches regarding the sentencing of drug-related crime. The empirical part features a quantitative analysis of a selected representative sample of 300 Czech court decisions enunciated in 2015 and 2016. This analysis addresses the trends of conducting drug-related crime and the sentences imposed by Czech courts. Attention is given to the differences in sentencing perpetrators disposing with different drugs, particularly cannabis and methamphetamine, and perpetrators conducting different prohibited activities related to the drugs (such as producing, retailing, etc). The analysis also focuses on using the institutes of imposing protective measures and adequate restrictions or duties.
Criminological Aspects of Drug-Related Crime
Spišák, Anton ; Zeman, Petr (advisor) ; Bohuslav, Lukáš (referee)
Criminological aspects of drug-related crime Abstract This master`s thesis deals with a number of criminological aspects and issues related to drug-related criminality, in particular with legislation that takes into account the specific impact of selected drugs. In this context the thesis analyzes the drugs` impact on secondary drug-related crime, the death rate and health of their users and additional negative social and economic consequences related to such drugs. Following the evaluation of these harmful effects the thesis proposes potential changes to policy on such drugs and compares it to policies of foreign countries on individual drugs. These changes consist of various proposals including the decriminalization or legalization of certain means of handling of individual drugs. The thesis also examines national legislation currently in force related to selected individual drugs. Its conclusions are reached through a variety of researches and statistical data. The thesis consists of eight chapters which are preceded by a brief introduction to the selected topic. The first chapter lays out basic terminology used in this thesis. The second chapter deals with historical cases of drug policies such as the Chinese policy on opium in 19th and 20th century or the prohibition in the United States between 1920...
