Review of the textbooks and of other teaching materials for computer classes at primary schools
Hrabák, Jan ; Fialová, Irena (advisor) ; Vaňková, Petra (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is - besides mapping the availability of information and communication technology textbooks for pupils of the first stage of primary schools - mainly to evaluate their quality and to set evaluating criteria for them. Available textbooks suitable for teaching at the first stage of primary school are evaluated in the practical part of this work. In conclusion, the found opinions and attitudes of lecturers and teachers on available textbooks and other teaching materials are compared.
Creation of learning objects for interactive whiteboard in math education
Moravcová, Barbora ; Lapeš, Jakub (advisor) ; Vaňková, Petra (referee)
The aim of the thesis on the topic "Learning objects for interactive whiteboard with a focus on mathematics" is to explore theoretical aspects and principles of interactive teaching using interactive whiteboards in teaching mathematics at middle school. Another goal is to create interactive presentations of various thematic units of mathematics curricula for middle schools, and educational at the same time with the documentation for these presentations. Description of theoretical aspects deals with of both the very notion of interactivity and learning object concepts and interactive whiteboard. The bachelor thesis emphasized the need to take care when using the interactive whiteboard teaching traditional didactic principles and these principles are explained in relation to interactive learning. The practical part is dedicated to creating learning objects in the environment of the program GeoGebra and the program SMART Notebook for creating presentations. Result of this work is eight presentations created for the second and third year of middle school to take full advantage of the opportunities the program offers.
Tools for 3D modeling in teaching solid geometry
Taušová, Jana ; Procházka, Josef (advisor) ; Vaňková, Petra (referee)
TITLE: Tools for 3D modelling in teaching solid geometry AUTHOR: Bc. Jana Taušová DEPARTMENT: Department of Information Technology and Technology Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Josef Procházka, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The key topic of the thesis is the possibility of enhancement of the teaching of solid geometry through a 3D modelling program of choice. The theoretical part of the work defines solid geometry as a branch of mathematics. It furthermore investigates spatial visualization ability as a crucial one for understanding this particular area; and also explains the possibilities of computer program usage. The practical part starts with an inquiry into the use of ICT tools at secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Then there is an overview of the programs suitable for teaching, and methodology for a particular section of solid geometry curriculum. The suggestions mentioned in the methodology section have been used during class work (the 7th year students of an 8-year comprehensive grammar school), as specified in the last part of the work. Thus we have researched the actual practical use of our theoretical inferences. KEY WORDS: Tools for 3D modelling, ICT support for education, spatial visualization ability, solid geometry
Tax Collectors in the Gospels
Vaňková, Petra ; Ryšková, Mireia (advisor) ; Scarano, Angelo (referee)
This work deals with tax collectors in the Gospels. In the first part, tax collectors at the time of Jesus are studied, along with their methods of collecting duties, and the status of tax collectors in Jewish society. The next section discusses the information which the Synoptic Gospels provide us about tax collectors. Based on this information, Jesus' relationship with tax collectors and his behavior toward them is outlined. The final section then discusses the posibility of tracing groups in our society who have a similar status to tax collectors at the time of Jesus. Concept maps as an assessment tool in education
Vaňková, Petra ; Mudrák, David (advisor) ; Černochová, Miroslava (referee)
TITLE: Concept maps as an assessment tool in education SUMMARY: This thesis thesis is concerned with the types of assessment of concept maps, creation on the bases of studying professional literature. It points out different views and perceptions of assessment methods and offers its own assessment methods. By way of research evaluates its own methods for assessing concept maps, and then explores the possibilities of evaluation of concept maps (in contrast with the written exam, objectivity of assessing methods) for students of upper primary school in the three selected subjects: geography, citizenship education, science. KEYWORDS: Concept map, assessment
Evangelization through Pedestrian Pilgrimage and Building Pilgrimage Spirituality
Vaňková, Petra ; Mrňávek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Opatrný, Aleš (referee)
This bachelor thesis elaborates the issue of the pilgrimage spirituality in the framework of spiritual experience, the Holy Scriptures and historical backgrounds. Concrete examples specify the basic elements of the pilgrimage spirituality, evangelization potential of pilgrimage and practical organizational aspects. It comprises an in-depth analysis of the program and its parts during the pedestrian pilgrimage. It deals with specific duties during the pilgrimage, seen from the point of view of organization, liturgy, and time roadmap of the program. As the synthesis of the paper is building of pilgrimage spirituality, it should be used as a tool for pilgrimage organizers, taking into account both logistical aspects and deep spiritual experience.
Influence of seasons on the pollution of selected water bodies in the Příbram region
Vaňková, Petra ; Vach, Marek (advisor) ; Heřmanovský, Martin (referee)
The objective of this Diploma Thesis is to evaluate the impact of water quality factors and year-seasons factors on the development of pollution levels in three ponds located in the Příbram area. The theoretical part of the Thesis focuses on different aspects related to the study of surface water. It elaborates on the types of water, their chemical analysis, the classification of surface water, measuring methods, and the theories of anthropogenic pollution. The sources for the theoretical part were selected from relevant scientific literature focusing on surface waters and their chemical composition. The practical part of the Thesis contains detailed description of the focus location and the three specific ponds, the methods of sample collection and analysis applied, and of the processing, assessment, evaluation and interpretation of results. The pollution concentration indicators were measured through laboratory analysis of the collected samples. The Thesis contains measurement results for the levels of ammonium nitrogen, nitrates, nitrites, phosphates, chromium, lead, cadmium, copper and nickel. The collected evidence revealed significant pollution levels in the measured ponds. The pollution was found to be of anthropogenic origin, and caused predominantly by agricultural activity and contamination by waste water. Research data indicates that all water objects under examination show comparable levels of pollution. A strong correlation between the values of pollution indicators and the season of the year was established for nitrates and phosphates. On the other hand, levels of ammonium nitrogen show merely a slight correlation with the season of the year.
