Self-management as a means for advancement and maintenance of personal competence of school directors

The thesis deals with self-management of head teachers and its application in the present which is characterized by an environment of never-ending changes which place considerable demands on the overall preparedness of school management to face these demands. This theses has been completed using search of available literature and free Internet resources related to this issue. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts related to the topic. The personality and skills of managers are also described there. Based on the analysis and comparison of scientific literature I describe the techniques and procedures recommended by the authors who deal with this issue. With the help of a survey in the form of half-structured interviews with managers of education in different types of schools in a district town I try to find out what self-management techniques covering the biological, psychological and social areas are practised by head teachers in order to maintain and develop relevant skills. In conclusion, based on the acquired data I suggest a process of self-management of head teachers. Recommended methods and procedures can be used as a strategic tool for maintaining and developing their competencies necessary to carry out their profession in a quality way. Recruitment and selection of pedagogical employees in kindergarten

The diploma thesis deals with the personnel management practices of recruitment and selection of employees. The theoretical part provides a brief description of the development of human resources management and an outline of the constituent personnel management practices. The steps undertaken by an organisation in the process of recruitment of employees are described thoroughly, from identifying job openings till designing and publishing a job advertisement. The main methods of employee selection are mentioned, followed by a more detailed description of the selection interview. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on the field of pre-primary education. It examines the current circumstances of recruitment and selection of pedagogical employees in selected kindergartens in Prague. It investigates which methods and techniques are used in these personnel management practices and it scrutinizes the factors that influence them. The results of the inquiry show that the recruitment and selection of pedagogues are executed on an adequate level in the selected schools. Factors affecting performance of teaching staff of secondary schools in Pribram

This diploma thesis describes and analyses the factors influences the working performance. It deals with the basic terms from the management area about the working performance. Mainly the terms work performance, work efficiency, working performance management are described, also the factors influencing the working efficiency are described. It clarifies the difference between the personal assumptions for the working performance relating directly with the worker and external factors, which cannot be influenced by the worker. Thesis is closely aimed at the process and setting which emerges from the organisation running. These factors are verified by the research done at the secondary school in Pribram. The research is executed by quantitative method with the usage of questionnaires. These questionnaires were drawn up that it enabled to compare with the analysis of current definitions of the working performance and working productivity. In the implementation of the research were compared the influences of the individual groups of factors which influence the pedagogical workers' working productivity on the secondary high schools in Pribram. The analysis of the current definitions dealing with the working performance and productivity were confirmed.

The diploma thesis looks into talent management in context of educational management with the application of professional literature analysis. It describes talent acquisition, human resource development, career management and succession planning and points out the connection between these and other human resource processes and talent management. It specifies the approach of personality psychology, industrial organizational psychology, vocational psychology, positive psychology, social psychology, educational psychology and management to the meaning of the talent. It defines talent management strategy, including a guideline on how to create one. It compares every approach to the talent amongst each other and summarizes the main difference. It presents research results on talent management application within organizations, which brings the attention to a low rate of application of this process and its complete absence within the educational institutions in the Czech Republic. Director as a knowledge worker. Tacit knowledge of selected directors of elementary schools in Prague

Bachelor's thesis deals in detail with knowledge workers in education with an emphasis on tacit knowledge, their division, sharing and importance. In addition to theoretical analyse of information sources in Czech, English and Swedish language sites were based on interviews with four elementary schools are defined Managers of tacit knowledge that I work divided into tacit knowledge intrapersonal, interpersonal and context-specific. The most common tacit knowledge proved to those used when working with people, whether they are knowledgeable about their personality, which we can use in their motivation, understandable assigning tasks or any other communication for example knowledge about their family, financial or social background affecting not only their personality, but at the moment the mental and physical condition. During interviews were used as stimulators 30 concepts written on cards and was subsequently completed a questionnaire interview with scaling terms used and some personal issues. The work is intended for school directors, who come to a new school and want to quickly navigate not only the explicit knowledge relating to specific schools, but also in those heavily adopted - tacit knowledge.

This bachelor thesis is about on tender new teaching staff and about communication at schools between hers students. The aim is to find out if students can talk to each other without use some computers or mobile phones and how they are doing on communication skills. In the second phase i would like to find out how the recruitment proces in schools and what are requirements for new teachers. I chose the primary school- in the firt phase and high schools of art, sports schools - in the second phase. The practical part I have therefore dividet into two parts: in the first part I examine communication and in the second part I examine tender of new teachers. Educational needs of headmasters at various school levels

The master's thesis "Educational needs of headmasters at various school levels" deals with education of headmasters of various school levels. In particular, it deals with educational needs of headmasters at kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools. The aim of the thesis is to find differences among educational needs of headmasters of various school levels and its mutual comparison. Theoretical part works with resources for identifying and comparison of educational needs. Those educational needs are in this thesis identified through "Competency model of the headmaster of the school". Headmasters of mentioned school levels specify required level of partial competencies and evaluate its real situation. Headmasters also have the possibility to bring their own proposal for type of educational need and provide also their recommendation for supplementation of current offer in the field of education. Research was realized through the form of questionnaire. Findings of the research brought, that educational needs of headmasters of secondary schools differ a lot from needs of headmasters of kindergartens and primary schools.
