Strategic management of school in the context of six-year term

The aim of the thesis is to determine whether there are limits that may restrict kindergarten headmaster in the strategic management of the school, considering a six-year term in office. The thesis consists of two main parts. In the theoretical part, the concepts such as strategic management of the school, position of the kindergarten headmaster and a six-year term in office are explained. The research part describes the processes at the school. Methods of observation, interview, questionnaires and document analyses, are used in order to collect the data which are coded, categorized, and then used to form a story.
Establishing, maintaining and developing the quality management system CSN EN ISO 9001:2009 in education

The presented work deals with the quality of education and elaborates upon the implementation of system of quality management ISO 9001 as one of the ways of possible improvement of a process and outcomes of education. Introduction included in the theoretical part is focused on explanation of the concepts of education quality, quality management, quality of a school, quality standards, quality control and quality management models. The subsequent part of the work contains implementation of a quality management system. The following chapter deals with process management as a means of maintaining quality management system. The final chapter of the theoretical part describes cloud computing as the latest and most progressive path of development of quality management. The object of the research is to develop a model of implementation of the quality management system. Actual implementation model build on a previous qualitative research conducted in several schools, performed in a form of a case study. In the appendix part, a number of actual documents are attached in order to better convey the implementation process. Investment in development of human capital

The subjekt of this thesis is human capital, investment options in its development and subsequent use in practice. The paper is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes human capital, investment in human capital and company training (which is a form of human capital development). The practical part analyzes internal environment of the company. It is also carried out a survey to determine how employees perceive the company's current state education system focused on the development of their human capital. The aim of this work is define human capital, describe investment options in its development, summarize theoretical knowledge on the topic of corporate education and then verify their validity in practice. Congruence of managerial competencies of teacher, headmaster and business manager

This thesis deals with the managerial competencies of school teachers and headmasters. It also focuses on finding the common features of such competencies as are shared by the two aforementioned professions and company managers. Its main aim is to find out whether a successful teacher would be equally successful in the position of a headmaster, or whether a company manager can be a successful headmaster without having worked as a teacher. The theoretical part deals with the definition of "management" and managerial functions, the definition of school management, and "classroom management". The personalities of a manager, their qualities, knowledge, skills, the term "leadership" as well as "competencies" are also clarified here. At the end of this part there is an analysis of managerial competencies in the position of a company manager, headmaster, and teacher as well. The practical part analyses the subjective perception of the job duties, required qualities, skills and competencies in teachers, headmasters and managers. The thesis contains a comparative research. Specifics of the Church grammar schools in the Czech Republic

TITLE: Specifics of the Church grammar schools in the Czech Republic AUTHOR: Bc. Jan Pech DEPARTMENT: School Management Center SUPERVISOR: Mgr. et. Bc. Jiří Trunda ABSTRACT: The Churches and religious denominations can become school and school facility founders according to the law no. 561/2004 of the Statute book, Education law. What are the specifics of the Church schools from the management of education point of view, which this work deals with? And do these specifics actually exist? Do the tangible differences that clearly specify the Church school against the school founded by the municipality, region or the union of municipalities exist? We will focus on the Church grammar schools. There are 18 such grammar schools in the Czech Republic and all of them, were founded by the Roman Catholic Church. These institutions create a specific, not large group of schools that provide high-quality education and also pass religious values on with emphasis on respecting the uniqueness and value of each human being. In the beginning, this work shortly looks into the historical development of the Church schools and their actual legal status. Crisis management in education

My diploma thesis deals with crisis management, which is a distinctive field of predictive project management, and of its specific application in the field of education. The aim of the thesis is to define internal threats, specify and analyse risks arising from them, and to describe solution processes with the help of process charts with a model risk nut for teachers from the HSE point of view. The thesis also includes complex overview of legislation which can help to eliminate crisis situations arising from internal threats. In the research part the thesis deals with the occurrence and frequency mapping of possible internal threats and assesses the readiness of school managements to prevent and solve crisis situations. School Management and Implementing of Global Developing Education into Teaching

The final bachelor paper deals with Global Developing Education and its level of integration in different kinds of schools' curriculum. Therefore it is based on the definition of Global Developing Education, basic documents (Národní strategie Globálního rozvojového vzdělávání pro období 2011-2015) and a panel discussion on this topic. In its research part the paper brings information on how the school stuff managers are familiarized with this topic and whether they are involved somehow. The found out data could bring advice for managers who are unfamiliar with above mentioned, reveal problems of integration. As well as help to clarify this issue and move the topic into the centre of school management's interest.
Strategic Management Education. Comparison of educational policies of the main political parties and the impact of these policies on the creation of an education strategy

The final essay concerns itself with the issue of creating strategic material for educational development in the Czech Republic on the basis of possible consensus of the major political forces in the country. This work's goal is formulating aspects of the strategy, which could be accepted by the major political forces and is therefore possible to predict its embracement and realistic execution. Formulation of these cycles comes from a conducted comparison of the various political party programs, which received more than 1.5% of votes in the 2013 parliamentary elections. The comparison's result will be further equated with the document of the MŠMT The Main directions of the educational policy until year 2020. Based on which, problems will be formulated and through their solution, a consensus can be expected, which will therefore become the basis for future strategies of the development of Czech education. The work's results bring possibilities of utilisation, by the ongoing discussions about the strategy of education, which will be usable in the deliberations between representatives of political parties and other subjects working on the creation of the strategy.
