Badminton at elementary school
Ramba, Miroslav ; Přibyl, Ivan (advisor) ; Svobodová, Irena (referee)
TITLE: Badminton at elementary school AUTHOR: Miroslav Ramba DEPARTMENT: Department of Physical Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Ivan Přibyl ABSTRACT: In my bachelor work I investigate by using polls, how much in nowadays the knowledge of badminton as a sport discipline is quite different from the recreational badminton. Furthermore, I will introduce the new badminton rules from the year 2006 and their influence on the attractiveness of the game. I will briefly mention the history and basic concepts related to badminton, including physical training and preparation with the focus on the target age group 6 to 15 years. I perform the analysis of the observed children matches of different age and physical fitness, the analysis of the agility increase during the game - I have been working and monitoring the regular trained children for 6 months. The obtained data will be used together with the technical and logistic guarantee of the badminton game to find out the basic conditions realized at elementary school. The obtained data from my survey analysis of observed matches are transformed into graphic form. KEYWORDS: badminton, elementary school, change of the rules, training youth and children, physical preparation
Current state of swimming teaching to preschool children in Prague
Krischová, Jitka ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Hájková, Jana (referee)
Abstraction The subject of the bachelor thesis is the current situation of swimming courses for kindergartens. The paper aims to study the quality and conditions of teaching basic swimming skills in selected swimming schools and provides approximate number and age of children participating in the courses in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with swimming and its importance in general and describes methodological and organizational specifics of swimming teaching at preschool age. It briefly deals with several legislative documents, which set hygiene and safety standards for swimming pools used for preschool swimming lessons. The practical part focuses on finding out the percentage and age range of children from Prague kindergartens, who attend swimming courses. The data for the practical part were obtained through questionnaires and direct non-participating observation. The conclusions show that quite a large number of Prague kindergartens attend swimming classes. The quality of swimming teaching and especially the material conditions are very different. In swimming teaching the teacher plays the key role.
Muscle imbalances and their compensation by swimming for children at school age
Kofránková, Michaela ; Hronzová, Marie (advisor) ; Svobodová, Irena (referee)
The master thesis focuses on muscle imbalances occuring in a increasing number of children and its reparation by swimming and exercising in an aquatic environment. The thesis contains two sections - theoretical and practical. The teoretical part informs about history and conseguence of swimming, influence of aquatic environment on human organism, young school age children and muscle imbalances. The practical part fuceses on the defined hypothesis confirmation or falsification and on answering the questions of the research. The methods used, are questioning (questionnaire and interwiev) and observation. The disquisition took a place in Pražačka swimming pool, primary school Dědina and primary school Kavčí hory. There were 13 children, 66 parents and 112 school employees involved. It was detected that a large number of children has at least one muscle imbalance After the four month reserach it was confirmed that the aquatic environment has a positive influence on posture and major part of the children group has improved their swimming skills. An important finding is that almost all primary schools we were working with has swimming included in theis curriculum. Other finding is that parents attend swimming pools etc. less often than we've expected. The thesis conclusion contains overall summary of the...
Cellular signaling pathways engaged in the entrainment of mammalian biological clock
Červená, Kateřina ; Bendová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Svobodová, Irena (referee)
The mammalian biological clock is based on endogenous rhythmic oscillations of the so-called clock genes which affects the timing of the external manifestations, such as rhythmic alternations of sleep and activity. This endogenous mechanism, of which the innate period slightly deviates from the solar time, can be adjusted by various external synchronizers to the exact 24 hour period. This thesis is focused on the influence of the most prominent synchronizer, the sunlight, on the molecular basis of changes in the dynamics of internal mechanism of the oscillations in the main mammalian circadian pacemaker, the suprachiasmatic nuclei of the hypothalamus. There are numerous studies which have demonstrated the effect of various cellular signaling pathways on changes of circadian rhythms. The most common methods of assessing the oscillation phase changes, however, measure changes in output rhythms that may not always reflect the changes in the molecular mechanism itself. The aim is to evaluate which components of signaling pathways have provably shown to affect the dynamics of the rhythmic expression of clock genes.
Cholinesterase activity following experimentally induced organophosphorus poisoning.
Svobodová, Irena ; Herink, Josef (advisor) ; Kuča, Kamil (referee)
The aim of present work was a comparison of effectiveness of oximes chosen in the experimental therapy of nerve agents intoxication (soman and russian VX). All experiments were performed in male Wistar rats. All oximes tested were administered intramuscularly either in a separate injection or in combination with atropine. The preparation of the brain parts for determination of acetylcholinesterase was performed in several time intervals after drugs tested administration. Antidotal potency of oxime HI-6 was superior in comparison with the rest of oximes tested.
