Cartographic representation of hydrographic features in the state map series Abstract The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a proposal to completion digital topographic database ZABAGED for hydrographic features. The first part is devoted to introduction to map keys of large scale Czech topographic maps since 1950s and also with the content of database ZABAGED. The emphasis is also put on historical context of new mapping and formation of digital database. The second part deals with a representation of hydrographic features and their guidance in digital topographic databases in four foreign countries. The practical part is devoted to designing a completion of attributes and features to ZABAGED. In view of the new attributes a cartographic representation of selected hydrographic features for the large scale maps is designed. All proposals were created considering the regulation of European Commission INSPIRE Data Specification on Hydrography. Keywords: hydrographic features, cartography, topographic databases, comparative study
Utilization of additional information on the pulse for ALS data classification in rugged terrain
Poláková, Tereza ; Lysák, Jakub (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
Utilization of additional information of the pulse for ALS data classification in ragged terrain Abstract The diploma thesis deals with airborne laser scanning filtering problem in sandstone landscape which is characterized by ragged terrain and in our country also by dense vegetation that makes difficult to transit laser pulse to terrain that can lead to lower accuracy of created DTM. In the first part the basic filtering algorithm that are systematic divided into several groups are described. The emphasis is also put on theoretic problems which we have to deal with during the filtering of laser scanner data acquired in sandstone landscape. The main goal of the thesis is to suggest changes in one of the existing algorithm to additional information of the pulse (mainly amplitude and width of the pulse) be used, and to test this method over the real data. At the end the results of the method and its implementation are critically evaluated. Keywords: airborne laser scanning, point cloud segmentation, point cloud classification, sandstone landscape, DTM

Myth and Boyhood: Protagonists in Fiction of Jaroslav Foglar
Poláková, Tereza ; Bílek, Petr (advisor) ; Vučka, Tomáš (referee)
The work maps the variation and transformation of protagonists a less known part of Jaroslav Foglar's novel. The basis for this analysis is Joseph Campbell's theory of monomyth and its aim is to analyse the traditional view of the author's work as being situated between the poles of artistic competence and the pedagogical-moral appeal. The interpretation of the protagonists will be directed toward a certain typology in terms of their anchoring in the given environment (the role of the city and the nature), their relationship to society (the problem of authority and the relationship to adulthood) and their own inner world - the self-reflection of the protagonists and their psychological development in narrative.
