Entropy production and irreversibility in transition state theory
Pajger, Šimon ; Ryabov, Artem (advisor) ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Entropy production and irreversibility in transition state theory Author: Šimon Pajger Department: Department of Macromolecular Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Artem Ryabov, Ph.D., Department of Macromolecular Physics Abstract: Modern experiments focusing on durations of nonequilibrium transi- tions provide valuable information on the underlying microscopic kinetics. Theo- retically, outcomes of such experiments are well understood for time-independent free energy landscapes only. Amongst the most fundamental results in this area belongs an identity of distributions of times of forward and backward transitions between arbitrary two points of a free energy landscape. However, recently it has been experimentally found, that this identity can be broken by an action of external time-dependent force. In the thesis, we explore this situation theo- retically and discuss under which conditions the identity of distributions can be restored. To this end, we introduce distributions of transition times weighted by the entropy production. In particular, we show that it is possible to find weight for each trajectory, such that weighted distributions of transition times resulting from such weights are identical. Assuming an external harmonic time-dependent force, we discuss two experimentally relevant situations. First,...
The participle constructions from a comparational point of view using the example of Günter Grass' translations as a case study
Novotný, Tomáš ; Tichák, Viktor (advisor) ; Hejhalová, Věra (referee)
Within my bachelor's thesis I concern myself with the analysis of transgressives and nonattributive participles. In the theory section I indicate their key attributes, from which follow the common features between the individual forms, which form the basis of my initial thesis. In the methodology section I describe the means and methods used during the individual analyses. In the first analysis I try to find out in a contrastive way, if there is a one hundred percent overlap between specific transgressive forms and specific participle forms and in case there is not I try to establish the possible reasons for an overlap between transgressives and the other forms. Moreover I try to figure out, being inspired by the model from Emil Dvořák, whether there is a visible decline in use of the transgressives, whose number I calculate by means of the second analysis. After the analysis section I evaluate the findings made within the both analyses and describe what it implies. In the end I summarize the results and bring my thesis to a close. Simulation of electromigration in nanodimensions
Novotný, Tomáš ; Gaš, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Košovan, Peter (referee)
4 Abstract Computer softwares used for the prediction of the electromigration behaviour do not account for the local deviation from the electroneutrality condition, and thus cannot be used in nanodimensions. The aim of this work is to present a new mathematical model which can predict the behaviour of electrolytes in nano-channels. The mathematical model joins together (i) Nernst-Planck continuity equation for charged particles, (ii) the continuity equation for the electric charge, (iii) the Poisson equation and (iv) the G- function, which was appropriately modified from its original formulation. The set of partial differential equations is solved numerically in COMSOL Multiphysics, which is a powerfull tool based on the finite element method. Crucial part of the study of the electromigration in nano-dimensions is a precise description of the electrical double-layer in silica nano-channels. A new concept of a charged surface is presented in this work using the gel layer of silanol to create the electric charge on the wall. The accuracy of the solution of gel-layer concept is verified with another experiment using the Neumann boundary condition. Keywords: Electrical double-layer, electromigration, electroneutrality condition, Poisson equation
Design and Assessment of Selected RC Elements of a Family House
Novotný, Tomáš ; Kostiha, Vojtěch (referee) ; Švaříčková, Ivana (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of load carrying reinforced concrete structures in a family house. Particulary, it concerns the floor slab above the basement, the internal beam P4, the external beam P6 above the garage door and the staircase within one floor. With help of Dlubal RFEM 5.24, a model was created and the internal forces were determined. As a result of the work, shape and reinforcement drawings were performed in ArchiCAD 20 and the static calculation.
Předpoklady úspěšné fiskální konsolidace
Novotný, Tomáš
The Diploma thesis deals with the question of rising budget deficits and public debts and focuses on the fiscal consolidation in developed countries. The main goal of the thesis is to identify the conditions that have to be met for successful process of fiscal consolidation. The First part of the thesis describes a concept of fiscal consolidation, and specifies its determinants and measurements. The second part analyses selected periods of fiscal consolidations and measure the evolution within the time period. The results of the analysis are consequently used for comparison and identification of conditions successful fiscal consolidation.
Dopady novely účetní legislativy na podniky s výrobní činností od 1.1. 2016
Novotný, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis deals with the amendment of accounting legislation and its impacts on manufacturing companies. The theoretical part describes all changes that took place in accounting legislation and specifies those, which affected the manufacturing companies the most. In the practical part, the impacts of the change to the accounting legislation are demonstrated on a specific accounting unit with manufacturing activities. This unit is part of the category of accounting units in accordance with specific criteria stemming from the Act on Accounting. The thesis also describes the duties related to the respective category of accounting units. The conclusion then evaluates the impacts affecting both the mentioned accounting unit and all manufacturing companies in general.
Video Games Localisation
RouterOS Devices Management System
Konečný, Jakub ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Hájek, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes a design and an implementation of an information system for management control and remote configuration of devices running MikroTik's RouterOS system. Primary purpose of the system is managing all compatible devices at one place. Within each device you can modify its DNS and DHCP settings, create or edit static DNS records and static routes. System is written in PHP using Nette Framework and MySQL database.
Weather Forecast Based on Different Sources
Hořák, Martin ; Kořenek, Jan (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the weather forecast through the artificial neural network with backpropagation method. The forecast is based on data obtained from freely accessible services offering weather information. The created application downloads and saves the forecasts from servers and creates a new forecast. The results of the prediction are being compared with the reality and the original services.
