Havel's legacy at Ostrovní 13 (literary reportage)

This thesis presents the Václav Havel Library and the legacy of the person whose name it holds in the form of the literary reportage. In the theoretical part it defines the literary reportage genre. Firstly it describes the historical development of the reportage, focusing on the Czech and Polish journalistic and literary enviroment. Then, in contrast with the Czech tradition, it defines the specific genre that is the Polish literary reportage, focusing in more detail on the types of narrators and the language it uses. In the practical part the theoretical knowledge is being implemented in the form of an original literary reportage, which presents the environment and the functioning of the Václav Havel Library. It presents an unique institution that was modeled on the American presidential libraries for the purpose of archiving and publishing the works of Václav Havel and related materials, as well as organising cultural events that carry his spirit. The literary reportage Havel's legacy at Ostrovní 13 gives an interpretation of what the legacy represents, meaning in what areas we can still feel the influence of Václav Havel and what makes him an inspiration to many. Spalovač mrtvol in Book and Film Form

The bachelor thesis deals with the interpretation of Ladislav Fuks´s work The Cremator and a comparison of a film with the same title, which has been directed by Juraj Herz. The first part of the thesis offers a brief view into the private and artistic life of the author. The aim of the second part is the novel analysis, which is focused on primary as well as secondary characters and motives. The third part presents a film version of the novel. The analysis is focused on motives, technical part such as camera, edit and sound. The last part deals with a comparison of both versions, especially film and novel characters and each scenes.

Possibilities of a nature reserve V Lisovech in the development of tourist trade in SO ORP Jihlava and Pelhřimov.

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and evaluation of meaning of the nature reserve in Lisova. It is also focused on the possibility of utilization of a V Lisovech nature reserve in the development of tourist trade in SO ORP Jihlava and Pelhřimov. The main aim of this thesis is to develop drafts and materials which should help to the development and propagation of the tourist trade in the observed region. Results gained from the propagational materials are made into logo, web application and information booklet. The processing of results, information booklet and logo was created thanks to the programs as Adobe InDesign CS6, ArcGIS ArcMap and Zoner Photo studio 17. On the other hand the web application was made due to the ability to link maps with GoogleMaps. An essential part of this thesis is also my own maps, photographs and charts.

Symmetric and asymmetric context of word problems and its influence on the success of pupils' and on the types of their mistakes

The thesis deals with the connection between the way the mathematical word problems are formulated and their being understood correctly by the pupils. The main focus is on the semantic cues present in the assignment of the word problem. The thesis can be divided into two parts. The first part, which provides the theoretical framework for the whole thesis, contains the definition of a word problem. The phases of word problems solving and the possible classification of word problems are mentioned. More attention is paid to the problems with translation cues; new concepts of asymmetric context and symmetric context, called semantic cues, are introduced. An overview of several related research studies from abroad follows. The core of the thesis lies in its second part, containing a study that examines whether the pupils would be more successful in solving problems with asymmetric contexts than in solving problems with symmetric contexts. The influence had been examined on two types of problems and four age categories of pupils and students. The research was carried out through the short tests and it was attended by the total of 503 pupils of selected elementary schools and grammar schools in Prague and students of the Faculty of Education of Charles University. Benefits of Preventive Programs of Malignant Cancer in the Czech Republic

Due to the constantly increasing epidemiological burden of our population on oncological diseases, nationwide preventive programs for selected types of malignant tumors have been introduced within the Czech health system. The aim of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate these screenings, such as mammographic screening, cervical screening and screening of the colon and rectum. The subject of the analysis is the mortality rates for breast cancer (C50), cervix (C53) and colon and rectum cancer (C18-21) between 1994 and 2015. The main focus is on question of whether the development of the mortality rate for selected neoplasms depends on the degree of coverage rate by a preventive program.

Conceptual tendencies in czech contemporary design Kamila Matějková Abstract Diploma thesis deals with conceptual tendencies emerging in contemporary Czech design and try to put them in historical and social context. It focuses primarily on product design, glass and ceramics and their development in the last decade. First, the thesis deals with the development of conceptual art, theoretical approaches to the design and the definition and circumstances of occurrence of conceptual design. The main part of the thesis focuses on conceptual tendencies that were observed based on research of contemporary Czech design scene. These tendencies are: the historical trend and tendency to appropriation of older works, the inspiration of nature and processing of environmental issues, the application of humor, exaggeration and story as a concept in design and a tendency to material experiment and experiment with material processing techniques. Iconographic motifs in František Bílek's work

Kamila Matějková: Ikonografické motivy v díle Františka Bílka Abstract The bachelor thesis "Iconographic motifs in the František Bílek's work" is dealing with František Bílek's work, from the iconographical point of view in particular. It divides Bílek's work into thematic groups according to the basic iconographic motifs and attempts to determine from what the author is based. First, the situation of Czech art at the end of 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century and the place of František Bílek's work in that environment is outlined. After that, the attention is focused on Bílek's relationship to art and his individual spiritual conception. Further Bílek's artistic means are explored. The main part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of particular iconographic themes which are present in František Bílek's work. The motif of Christ, the motif of the Virgin Mary, Old Testament motifs, human motive, tree motive and national themes (Hussites, the Unity of the Brethren) are gradually followed. At the end of this work the attention is paid to motifs which are influenced by Otokar Březina's literary work.

Design and innovations: Conditions and qualities of cooperation between companies and designers

The diploma thesis deals with design as part of creative economy and design in the context of corporate innovations. The aim is to analyze the conditions and qualities of cooperations between companies and designers in the Czech Republic, to identify barriers to effective collaboration and to propose steps leading to development of cooperation between businesses and designers. Tool for the analysis is research in the form of a questionnaire survey among Design Competitiveness programme participants, which the agency CzechTrade implemented in 2013 and 2014 to support projects of cooperation between companies and designers. Conditions and qualities of cooperation is explored in the following aspects: establishment of cooperation, objectives and results of the collaboration, progress of the cooperation and obstacles to effective cooperation. The research is complemented by a case study of a specific project of such cooperation, the development of a new product line by the Mikov company.

Development of unemployment in region of Jindřichův Hradec

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of unemployment in reagon of Jindřichův Hradec. Thesis is devided into two parts, theoretical and analytical. In a first part of the bachelor thesis there are explained basic concepts which are related to unemployment.
In a second part there is an analysis of development of unemployment in a specific period and reason why was the unemployement going in that particular direction. Development of the unemployment in this region is compared to an average of unemployment in Czech Republic. Futherway, we compared developments between regions. Based on the analysis there are reccomended precautions for increase of unemployment and we predicted a development for the future.
