Modernization of LV switchboards in meshed network in Brno
Kalina, Šimon ; Nedoma, Jakub (referee) ; Vrtal, Matěj (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to conduct a research on the topic of LV grid, its application and specifics of its operation and design in the first part. This part also describes the indicators of the quality of power supply, their impact on the distributor and the influence of the grid network on their form. In the practical part, for a specific investment action consisting in the renewal of LV switchboards in the grid node stations in Brno, a technical report is prepared, which will serve as a basis for the implementation of the renewal itself. Furthermore, the current development of the switchboards is evaluated and a solution is proposed for the reconstruction of the stations, including atypical ones.
Loss and Heat Calculation of Oil Transformer Top Cover Near Bushings
Trombik, Šimon ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Mrajca, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the calculation of losses on the cover of an oil transformer in the vicinity of LV bushings. This is because there is thermal stress and aging of the seal under the grommet and, subsequently, oil leakage. The production of oil transformer sub-parts is briefly described here, and the chapter is devoted to transformer grommets. Another part is also a literature search of eddy losses in the cover and container of the oil transformer. Subsequently, the preparation of the electromagnetic and thermal simulation is described here, where a lot of attention was paid to heat in particular.
Liquid flow measurement
Hradil, Jiří ; Fialka, Jiří (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
In my master’s thesis, I consider with flow measurement. In shortness is described principle of flow sensors functionality, its advantages and disadvantages. I designed and made device for practice measurement of flow. On this device are installed three flowmeters The characteristic of this flowmeters were measured and evaluated. I made program in LabVIEW to collect and analyze information from instaled flowmeters.
Influence of nanoparticles on the properties of electroinsulation varnish
Michlíček, Petr ; Havlíček, Svatopluk (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
This work deals with issues of dielectric composite materials. The general aim is to observe how the amout of nanofilling influence dielectric spectrum in dependence on relative humidity and temperature which is measured on prepared samples. For this purpose had been created variety of a samples of electroinsulating varnish with different percentage of filling with nanoparticles. Experimental material is epoxy resin NH91 LV filled by Al2O3 nanoparticles.
Design of reconstruction of LV electrical installation in HV substation
Vašulín, Jakub ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Janík, Daniel (advisor)
The topic of this work covers a theoretical description of project design for reconstruction of high voltage distribution system point. The aim of the work is to prepare material on the level of detail design documentation which covers not only design itself but also a theoretical description of external influences, a discussion of TECOMA Foxtrot system facilities and a characterization of standard specifications for individual types of rooms. Aquired knowledge was used detail project documentation which is an integral part of this work.
Pilot project on flexibility management at LV level
Sýkora, Jan ; Pilař, Martin (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the topic of flexibility, especially on the demand side. It includes the definition of terms related to the issue, the basic principles of operation and possibilities of use. The main researched branch of the study is the usage of the flexibility potential of heat pumps. The work is based on real data from a pilot project executed in the winter of 2021/22, which examines the portfolio of households with a heat pump and observes the possibilities of using flexibility, its management and especially the impact on load change depending on the estabilished baseline.
Voltage profile regulation in LV distribution systems by means of OLTC equipped distribution transformer and series transformers based on distributed monitoring data
Hála, Tomáš ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis discusses two major topics. The first one is the control size of the voltage in LV networks in regard to the increase in distributed generation concered to renewable energy sources. The study contains a review focused on the current state of low voltagegrid followed by a proposal for the solution of the oncoming state. The solution is identified as a deploying OLTC distribution transformer. In the case of more complex topology is deployed a series voltage transformer. Both methods are part of the Smart Grid. The thesis also analyzes the issue of the data measurement and data transmission. The second part of the thesis consists of the description of selected control strategies and their simulations. The design of individual system elements in the PSCAD is described. From these elements, a test network was constructed and tested the individual simulation scenarios.
Power line channel simulator
Jedlička, Tomáš ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on the analysis and modeling of power line communication with aim to implement power line channel simulator in the programming environment Matlab. At the beginning of the thesis are summarized basic information about the PLC communication, its basic distribution in terms of frequency bands and are also mentioned advantages and disadvantages. The emphasis on the meaning and importance of modeling with the aim to analyze PLC communication channel is specified further. The following is a detailed description of the current power lines communication models. Power line channel simulator was created on the basis of mathematical analysis for low-voltage (LV) distribution networks. The created simulator uses a model of cascaded two-ports and works in random or fixed mode. Input parameters are real topologies, different types of loads and cables. RLC resonant circuit as a frequency selective impedance is also included in impedance models. Based on the obtained results was performed the analysis, determined the critical parameters and extreme values. Comparison of effectiveness of created simulator was processed on the basis of available simulators from other authors. Two versions of simulator were created using the results obtained under comparison of effectiveness. For comparison was also performed real measurement on a simple topology. The experimental measurements results have been implemented in the simulator.
Design of technical measures in LV distribution network with a high value of short-circuit currents
Šmehlík, Daniel ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Ptáček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses the sizing and the possibility of reducing large short circuit ratios. For a specific scheme of an industrial building, which will be fed from three transformers, the sizing will be done by means of the SICHR program. The specific objective of the technical solution is to be able to use modular circuit breakers with a ripping capability of short-circuit currents up to 10 kA in the terminal switchboards. Another objective of the work is to perform an economic evaluation of the proposed solution, or to optimize the design from the point of view of the economic aspect in meeting the technical requirements.
