Visual therapy in the early and pre-school age.

In my dissertation, I adress problems of vision therapies in early and preschool age of children. I am explaining each single term related to some kinds of vision therapies, sight perception and sight functions in the theoretical part. I also mention facilities for disabled children of preschool age. In the practical part of my dissertation, I adress accessability to aids for visually handicapped children in preschool age. I am comparing situation of children in special preschools with children being integrated and children, which do not go to preschool. I am trying to find out, how common printed informations are available and which aids are used most.
History and Present of the Home for visually impaired people Palata

My bachelor s thesis on the History and Present of the Home for visually impaired people Palata has been conceived as a complex statement. I divided it into three parts, each of them dealing with specific areas. The first part is dedicated to the history of the home. I mention not only important dates, persons, foundation documents, methods of working with inmates but also financing of the institution or political interests which influenced the life of inhabitants and staff. The second part is focused on contemporary run of the Palata. I talk about the objectives and tasks, conditions of acceptance of clients, as well as current methods of work with clients, above standard activities, organizational structure or entirelly fundamental reconstruction of the building. In the third part I deal with case studies, which I divided into four sections - visual impairment, childhood, adulthood and old age. Palata surveyed clients differ in the type of disability, whereas one has been blind since childhood, the other since old age, the third has a specific combination, she is deaf-blind. Each case report is unique and original.
Speech Instruction and the Prevention of Break-downs in Communication Abilities in a Nursery School

The Graduation paper is directed at the validation of touch capabilities of visually impaired children of the age 13-17 years, through application of STIP test. STIP, developed in United Kingdom, is transformed into doted Braill code and verifies the speed of reading the numbers. Accuracy vs. error rate in the lines, speed of reading and concentration (attention) will be assessed. On the basis of the test evaluation aligned with relevant manual, the performance of children is compared with the UK children in the same age category. Following the comparison, the overall evaluation of this research is performed.
View af adult people with mental disability on thei leisure

The aim of this work is to acquire better understanding of the perception of leisure time by adult people with moderate mental retardation. The theoretical framework is based on defining the terms of mental retardation, adulthood, quality of life, leisure and on their mutual interaction and specifics concerning adult people with moderate mental retardation. Through the method of semi-structured interview and field-notes, data from 15 respondents with mental retardation and four social service providers were obtained and subsequently confronted with one another. The process resulted in identification of several discrepancies in answers given by these two groups concerning general views on leisure and selfdetermination in choosing leisure-time activities. Analysis of the concept of education Prison Service employees in the the Czech Republic

The presented dissertation focuses on the educational system o f the Czech Republic Prison service staff and on the proposal o f the new educational module called Penitentiary Pedagogy for special educationalists and trainers of the Prison Service o f the Czech Republic. This dissertation describes education, from compulsory entry education within the new staff Basic Preparation Entry program up to specialized courses in the Program o f Lifelong Education. These are established for all Prison service staff according to their official position. Currently the humanization trends are markedly preferred in the detention conception (including remand detention) within the Czech prison system. The inmate is treated not only according to the European Prison Rules principals, but also according to the professional ethic rules, human fairness and in particular access and use o f special pedagogy knowledge, special pedagogy diagnostics, forensic psychology and other related branches o f science. The staff must be excellently prepared to carry out their duties in such specific conditions in the prisons while complying with the above-mentioned new approach. Psychological Handicap or the Difficulty of the Social Integration of the Highly Visually-impaired

The purpose of this thesis was to describe an area of the social integration of visual impaired and blind people in the intact society. It investigates some of areas of life of people with visual disability, acceptance of them in intact society and creation of the positions to people with visual handicap. The first part brings the characterization of the personality of people with visual handicap, their adult age, parenhood and and problems of their employment. The second part deals with anatomy, physiology and patophysiology of visual apparatus. The third part desribes specific problems of the integration of people with visual handicap in the society. The fourth practic part brings actual findings of social study about acceptance of people with visual impairment by intact society.
Art therapy in the context of special pedagogic education

The goul and purpose of the disertation is to find the overlaping aeras of special pedagogy and art therapy in the new paradigm of education, including special education - in inclusion. In diseration work there are introduced the main theoretical approaches of current art therapy, focusing on the spiritualy- ecological approach, which correstondents in it's holistic and integrating approach to the modern main spreams of special education. Application of special educators in residential social and health services for the elderly

Rigorous thesis presents the possibility of employment of special pedagogues in residential health and social facilities for seniors. There are understood primarily homes for the elderly, special regime homes and hospitals for terminal illnesses. In relation to the theoretical character of this thesis there was used a research method for analysis and compilation of scientific texts in order to provide a comprehensive overview of current information about the problems of work. The rigorous thesis is in terms of content divided into seven chapters, where the first one deals mainly with codifying the profession of special pedagogues in social and health services. The second chapter presents the residential facilities of social and health services. The third chapter presents the employment of special pedagogues in residential facilities for seniors in the scheme of advisor - diagnostician - therapist. The last three chapters then discuss these roles in detail and present practical guidelines and procedures that can be used in work with seniors in these facilities. The Families of Children with Mental Disabilities in an Early and Pre-School Age

In my school leaving work I will deal with problems of family life with mental handicaped child in early and preeschool age. The main aim of the work will be to describe how patents pass their chilďs handicap, which problems they have to solve and witch kinds of care they can take. In the teoretical part of the work I would like to reach these aims with the help of speciál literature which devote this topič. Important sourse of information in practical part will be dialogs with childreďs parents. In the finál part I will compare, value and comment these information.
The Pregnancy of a Visually-Impaired Woman

The destination of my thesis is to present the information about the abilities visual handicapped women to become mothers. Even they are handicapped they can solve individually normal and complicated life situations. This work is focused on the questions of the pregnancy, the labour and passing parentage. The methods that 1 will use in my thesis will be: x Common tract on the pregnancy, the preparing to birth the baby, the labour. Also about the yearn for the independent way of life of people with the visual handicap, x The case reports, the interviews with the visual handicapped mothers and analyse theirs speeches, x The study references, Internet, consultations with the specialists and the institutions for the visual handicapped people. My work will aim for current situations of the visual handicapped mothers in Czech republic and if our society and the institutions are prepared for them.
