Rigorózní práce představuje možnosti pracovního uplatnění speciálních pedagogů v rezidenčních zařízeních zdravotních a sociálních služeb pro seniory, kterými zde rozumíme především domovy pro seniory, domovy se zvláštním režimem a léčebny dlouhodobě nemocných. Vzhledem k teoretické povaze práce byla jako výzkumná metoda použita analýza a kompilace odborných textů s cílem přinést ucelený přehled současných informací o problematice profesního uplatnění speciálních pedagogů v rezidenčních zařízeních sociálních a zdravotních služeb pro seniory. Práce je z hlediska obsahu členěna do sedmi kapitol, kdy první z nich pojednává zejména o legislativním ukotvení profese speciálního pedagoga v sociálních a zdravotních službách. Druhá kapitola představuje rezidenční zařízení sociálních a zdravotních služeb. Třetí představuje koncepci pracovního uplatnění speciálních pedagogů v rezidenčních zařízeních pro seniory ve schématu poradce - diagnostik - terapeut. Poslední tři kapitoly práce pak podrobně tyto role rozebírají a představují praktické návody a postupy, kterými lze se seniory v těchto zařízeních pracovat. There are understood primarily homes for the elderly, special regime homes and hospitals for terminal illnesses. In relation to the theoretical character of this thesis there was used a research method for analysis and compilation of scientific texts in order to provide a comprehensive overview of current information about the problems of work. The rigorous thesis is in terms of content divided into seven chapters, where the first one deals mainly with codifying the profession of special pedagogues in social and health services. The second chapter presents the residential facilities of social and health services. The third chapter presents the employment of special pedagogues in residential facilities for seniors in the scheme of advisor - diagnostician - therapist. The last three chapters then discuss these roles in detail and present practical guidelines and procedures that can be used in work with seniors in these facilities.
