Evaluation of the level of well-being in selected university students and mindset in relation to academic results

This diploma thesis focuses on the level of well-being of selected university students and their mindset in relation to school results. The theoretical part is focused on explaining the key concept of well-being and its possible measurement methods. The next big chapter consists of mindset, its brief characteristics and the possibilities of its division. At the end of the theoretical part, there is a chapter focused on the mindset of university students, the content of which is supported by many foreign studies. The practical part elaborates the collected data from on a questionnaire survey, which was based on the set goals, i.e. the determination of the level of academic well-being among selected university students with the expanding goal of determining well-being from a short-term perspective. To find out student life satisfaction and try to confirm the relationship between mindset and school success. When comparing the data, it was found that the overall level of well-being among the university students interviewed was above average, i.e. 6.06, which is a positive result and well-being in the short term is also at a relatively high level, specifically the average value was 5.7. Pupil with a different mother tongue and the motivational factors for learning at secondary school

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the motivational factors for learning at secondary school in pupils with a different mother tongue. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. It describes the strategy of educating pupils with a different mother tongue in the Czech Republic, the core principles of inclusion and inclusive teaching, motivation, motivational factors and the importance of performance motivation in school environment. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the functions of school counselling centres and school counsellors and the current form of career education in primary schools. The last section of the theoretical part is centred around choosing a secondary school and the factors which most often affect this choice. The practical part of the thesis takes the form of a qualitative research survey consisting of a series of structured interviews carried out amongst school counsellors and 9th grade primary school pupilswith a different mother tongue. TITLE Teaching the subject of health and safety education from 1918 to the present ABSTRACT Aims: The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe and compare the developmental tendency of teaching the subject of health and safety education in schools corresponding to the second stage of today's primary schools from 1918 to the present and to compare historical curricular documents with the current curricular document. The aim is to bring a comprehensive view of the issue of health and safety education in connection with the changes in our education over the last more than a hundred years. Methodology: A historical-comparative analysis based on a search of professional literature and an analysis of historical and currently valid curricular documents, textbooks and other sources were performed. Results: It was found that health and safety education occurs in curricula and textbooks to varying degrees in all research periods. It was also found out how and in what subjects it was taught in different political and time periods. The result was a comparison with previous and current curricular documents. Curriculum planning in health education

This diploma thesis is focused on curriculum planning in health education. The aim of the work was to design model lessons for a selected thematic unit of health education at a selected primary school. The model lessons are based on an analysis of the school's educational program which focused on the current document and the integration of health education into optional subjects. A partial goal of this work was also to find out whether health education teachers are informed about the concept of health education at their school. Among other things, the partial goal was to find out the current state of implementation of health education in the educational reality. Analysis of the school curriculum, observations, and interviews were used to obtain information. This diploma thesis contains twelve models of lessons of the thematic unit sex education. During the analysis was found that the school curriculum of the selected school contains incorrect information, is out of date and some fields of study are completely missing in the document. There is no subject focused on healt education in the selection of optional subjects, but we can find a partial blend in the two offered optional subjects. Student's awareness of selected village and town elementary schools in the Rakovník district about the risk of using addictive substance - alcohol and tobacco

This thesis entitled " Student's awareness of selected village and town elementary schools in the Rakovník district about the risk of using addictive substance - alcohol, tobacco" is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is devoted to the characteristics of addictive substances, their history and describes the manifestations of addiction, treatment of addiction and prevention of addiction. Furthermore, the theoretical part is devoted to the problem of substance use by children and adolescents, the consequences and specifics of substance use in children and adolescents are described. Alcohol and tobacco are discussed in more detail. A chapter is also devoted to prevention. The practical part focuses on the investigation of pupils' awareness of the risks of using addictive substances - alcohol and tobacco - by evaluating a questionnaire survey. The results of the practical part showed that pupils had a fairly good knowledge of legal addictive substances, practically without distinction, whether they were pupils of a village school or an urban school. This diploma thesis deals with the issue of monitoring the consumption of sugar-containing foods in pupils of the 2nd grade of primary and secondary schools. In the theoretical part I focus on the concept of carbohydrates, their types and uses in the human body. Furthermore, attention is paid to sugar as such. Its history and harmfulness to the human body and the content of this delicacy in food. Looking back on the basics of a healthy lifestyle. The diploma thesis is focused on the importance of properly managed classroom classes, in terms of their impact on building good relationships in the classroom and creating a pleasant environment in primary school. It deals with their function, importance and benefit for individuals, and therefore for the whole team, including the class teacher. The content of this work also deals, for example, with the correct compilation of class rules, which contribute to the creation of a confidential and relaxed atmosphere in the class team, in which students are not afraid to speak and cooperate. Furthermore, the work clarifies why and how class classes should be held and what topics are appropriate to include in their thematic plans. The main goal of the thesis is to find out whether the classroom classes contribute to the creation of a safe and relaxed environment at the Elementary School Zdice u Berouna. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of including didactic games in teaching, here specifically in the educational field of health education. The reform of Czech education system is constantly being talked about, which should start to focus more on the pupil's activity than on the teacher's activity, and so one of the solutions may be the use of activating teaching methods, which can include the already mentioned didactic games. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to defining the concept of motivation, which is an important part of student activity in school, and its types. Furthermore, readers will get acquainted with the definition of the term teaching methods and their basic division, which is freely followed by a description of activating teaching methods, their classification and the advantages and disadvantages of their use in practise. Mental health problems related to suicidal behaviour in selected students of grammar schools in the Pilsen Region

This thesis was created with the primary aim of obtaining and writing the main and important information related to mental health problems related to suicidal behaviour from the perspective of selected girls who study grammar schools in the Pilsen Region. In the theoretical part, the first two chapters define general characteristics and main information related to health, mental health, mental illness and suicidal behaviour. Subsequently, the theoretical part is devoted to the direct application of lessons learned and the addition of important data following the age category of grammar school students in the thematic areas of mental health, mental illness and suicidal behaviour. In the practical part, using a qualitative method of semi-structured interview, research was carried out involving 9 selected female students from 8 grammar schools in the Pilsen Region aged 14-18, which focused on finding data from their own experiences and attitudes to mental health and suicidal behaviour, both in and outside the school environment.
