The use of multimedia teaching aids by students with special educational needs in secondary schools of the Jedlicka Institute

(in English): The diploma thesis deals with the role of multimedia teaching aids in the teaching of students with special educational needs in the specific environment of the secondary schools of the Jedlička's Institute. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out, through pedagogical research, the use of multimedia learning aids and the attitudes of students and teachers to multimedia teaching aids in the process of teaching. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, which is primarily focused on teaching aids, the term "multimedia teaching aid", which is further worked at thesis, is defined. Practical part of the thesis is the pedagogical research at the secondary schools of Jedlička's Institute, starting points, results and evaluation.The research takes the form of a case study. The methods used are questionnire surveys, participated attendance at classes and interiews with students and teachers.
Factors influencing the choice of the further educational path of primary school pupils.

This work is focused on the choice of further educational path of elementary school pupils, namely pupils of the last year's ninth grade of the elementary school Novoborská. First the theoretical part is devoted to defining the basic concepts, the specifics of the pupils of the ninth classes and subsequently the specific factors that could influence the choice of pupils' secondary school. In this sense, it also deals with the professional orientation of pupils and the system of career counseling in the Czech Republic at the level of basic education. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the process of making decisions of the students of the ninth class about the choice of further educational or professional career through in-depth interviews with individual pupils. It also examines the specific aspects that have entered this decision and the extent to which the choice of the secondary school coincided with their professional orientation. The aim of this work is to approach the issue, to describe the factors that can be the key in transferring pupils from elementary to the secondary school and to identify the specific aspects that most influenced the choice of the secondary school pupils of the last year's ninth grade of elementary school Novoborská.
Children's book as a possible educational tool for the tolerance of homoparental families

The thesis with the name "Children's book as a possible educational tool for the tolerance of homoparental families" is focused on gay parenting, prevention of homophobia and content analysis of children's books which contains the topic of gay parenting. The aim of the thesis is to let teachers and the public know about the topic of homoparental families and to show them books which can be useful in helping them understand them. The theoretical part of my thesis is divided into five main chapters which describe the main concepts connected with the thesis. The first chapter describes sexual orientation, the history of homosexuality and how a person becomes homosexual. There are many various opinions from many authors who focus on this topic. The second chapter describes the difference between registered partnership and marriage. There are different kinds of families and different opinions on normality and gender in the third chapter. The topics of homoparental families and raising children in gay families are included in the fourth chapter. And the last chapter is about children's books and why they are important for children and their development. The motivation of Roma childern to education and learning

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the Romani children and their motivation for learning. It is based on a widely believed idea that motivation of the Romani ethnic group in general is different from the vast majority of population. In practice this problem may manifest itself when the children in question are unwilling to learn, they disrupt the educational process, they refuse to go to school and discontinue their further education as such. The theoretical part of the paper is focused on describing Romani people and their particularities connected with the family environment in which the Romani children are brought up and which strongly forms their attitudes. It also determines the amount of motivation for learning as a starting point for success in terms of education. Motivational factors depend on the value of education in the broader socio-cultural context of the Romani minority. The practical part of the thesis is based on the ethnographic research. Selected aspects of the state graduation exam through the perspective of Prague's grammar school students

The theme of this diploma thesis is selected aspects of the state graduation exam through the perspective of Prague's grammar schools students. The aim of this work is to map current situation regarding the state graduation exam with the emphasis on the selected aspects of this exam. These aspects will be seen primarily in terms of the former as well as current students of Prague grammar schools. In the beginning of theoretical part is outlined the development of graduation exams followed by the theme of the state graduation exams, which were launched in 2011 and since then are continuously modified. The theoretical part was inspired by professional literature but also by Internet resources and academic works written on a similar theme. At the end of this part there are also mentioned selected media feedbacks on the topic of state graduation exam. The second empirical part was developed on the research which took place at selected Prague grammar schools. This research was conducted through a questionnaire survey. The aim of the research was to analyze selected aspects of the state graduation exam at source - to see the state graduation exam through students and also teacher's perspective. Teachers were an additional group of respondents in the research.
The results of diagnostic methods for timber structures, depending on the wood moisture

Bachelor‘s thesis is focused on physical and mechanical features of wood by using nondestructive methods with a different moisture of timber structures and verifying the results with a practical testing. The purpose of the thesis is creation and evaluation all tests depending on timber moisture and strenght of material in graphical tables.
Use of ultrasound testing of concrete in bridge structures

There are analyze kinds of diagnostic methods in terms of bachelor’s thesis. It is written about principles of ultrasonic pulse method and its options of usage on the current concrete structure. There are processed results of measurement on the testing samples which will be compared with results of stress strength. There is also spoken about calibration relationships in the bachelor’s thesis. Calibration relationships are described in Czech technical norms.
Specifics of a dialogue with a child in a difficult living situation

The aim of this thesis is to focus on the specifics of conducting an interview with children who find themselves in a difficult life situation. The objective of the theoretical part is to define and characterize life situation and a child in crisis with the support of the reference literature and present the specifics of social and pedagogical work with a child in crisis. The practical part is presented as an analysis of model interviews on the helpline for children and two case studies. The objective of the practical part is to 1.demonstrate the procedure of conducting an interview with a child in crisis based on the analysis of model interviews of the helpline for children - Linka bezpečí; 2. develop own case studies of working with children clients of the helpline for children - Linka bezpečí and reflect the procedures of conducting interviews. One of the main conclusion of this thesis is that particular features of a human being in crisis are in accordance to what is described in the reference literature. Children's group as an alternative to preschool education

This final dissertation deals with a newly-established pre-school institution, called the children's group. The aim of this work is to present the children's group as one of the forms of preschool education and to describe its function and a view as an alternative to other types of preschool educational care, mostly kindergarten. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is aimed at the targets of preschool education, motives to an establishment of children's groups, its neediness and functioning. Moreover, it compares the children's group with other forms of educational system, mostly kindergarten, and finds its boldest differences. The practical part deals with reasons that bring parents to place the child in children's group. Moreover, it is aimed at the reasons what parents anticipate from the children's group from the viewpoint of the future progress of their children. The work deals with the same topic also with parents of children attending kindergarten. Possibilities of social pedagogical support of single mothers

This thesis deals with the problems of single mothers. Its aim is to describe the characteristics and problems of single mothers in the contemporary social context and the possibilities of socio-educational support that are available for them. The above is based on expert sources described in the theoretical part. The practical part, points out the problems which selected single mothers mostly address in their lives and describe possibilities of socially pedagogical support, especially as regards the offer and awareness of their contribution. Based on qualitative research, which was carried out through five case studies, the most frequent problems are financial hardship, psychological, occupational and educational problems and finally housing problems. Regarding the socio-educational support programs are found very little awareness of their availability and offer. Contribution of the completed course was for participants of research very significant, especially in the sharing of experiences, training situations and assertive communication and the encouragement for further action.
