The effect of social organization of games on the orientation in their moral dimension
Kuruczová, Eliška ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Pavlas Martanová, Veronika (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The author is following up on Bachelor's thesis called School aged children and their moral judgment in the case of social games. Main topic of this thesis was to explore key drivers of moral orientation with focus on influence of type of game organization followed by influence of the adult authority and complexity of rules. The objective of this thesis was to extend Piaget's theory with new learnings from this area. Stories with unjust situation leading to apply justice of equity were composed to evaluate moral orientation. Main method used was clinical interview as part of which we led the discussion with children. Various types of game organizations were games organized as competition, games organized as cooperation, passing bully role, and cooperation. All these games had a common dexterity type of object throw with body contact. Experiment sample consisted of 180 primary school children with comparable representation of boys and girls, aging from 6 to 15 years (20 children from each class). For children in our sample the analysis outcomes have shown that adult authority doesn't present an obstacle to think independently. In contrast rules complexity presented significant obstacle in understanding the game principles. Key finding was that children were better oriented in the games organized...
Validity of drawing as a projective test
Matoušková, Tereza ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Křížová, Ivana (referee)
Validity of drawing as a projective test The subject of this work is to investigate the relationship between a projective method, I specifically chose the Tree Test, and the Personality Questionnaire MMPI-2. The research question is as follows: What is the correlation between the clinical scales of the Personality Questionnaire MMPI-2 and the projective Tree Drawing Test? Both tests were assigned to adolescents from children's homes. I found statistically significant correlations in paranoia, hypochondria, hysteria and psychasthenia among men, I also looked for matches between individual clinical scales and the Tree Drawing in individual case reports. Unlike the research I present in my work, I have found areas where the projective Tree Drawing Test could correspond to personality characteristics as approached by the Personality Questionnaire MMPI-2.
Supporting children in Drawing as a game
Haberhauerová, Klára ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Fulková, Marie (referee)
This thesis is focused on the drawing of preschool children from the perspective of a game. The game that can offer children a functional pleasure already during the game itself. Theoretical starting points offer an insight into contemporary Czech and foreign didactics of an art education, the development of graphomotorics and also the theory of correction of specific learning disorders, concretely dyspraxia and dyspinxia. It focuses on the possible cause of refusing to draw, presents the view on the role of the teacher in planning and active participation in the educational process. The theoretical base is followed by an original empirical research that was lead in one kindergarten. The aim of the research was to introduce the Drawing as a game to children, so that they can have a positive experience from it. In the research we can find not only the diagnostics of children in terms of their ability to enjoy drawing as a game, but also self intervention in children, who had little or no pleasure in playing the game at the beginning. The conclusion contains a list of factors that supported individual interventions in their success.
Children's drawing in pre-school age - mesure of enjoyed pleasure
Jindrová, Jitka ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Viktorová, Ida (referee)
The bachelor thesis views children's drawing as a game where children enjoy functional pleasure. The theoretical part presents the theoretical background, especially Teorie hry by M. Klusák and M. Kučera, and Ontogeneze lidské psychiky by V. Příhoda. The empirical part of the thesis follows up on the research of K. Haberhauerová, and presents a scale created by the author which evaluates the children's degree of enjoyment of drawing. Then, with the help of school-maturity-oriented tests an answer to the research question about whether there is any binding relationship between the level of enjoyment and the rate of cognitive development included in school maturity is searched for. The degree of this relationship and the potential benefits of these findings are presented in the conclusion.
Belief in Free Will and College Students
Noskovič, Marek ; Kučera, Miloš (advisor) ; Klusák, Miroslav (referee)
Is free will simply an illusion? Or is it justifiable that we have built on free will our whole human society, including the legal system? For several centuries, there has been a debate in philosophical and theological circles about whether there is a free will or, on the contrary, our life is determined from the very beginning. I would like to contribute to better understanding of free will through my Bachelor Thesis, especially from the point of view of the latest knowledge in psychology. Including history, various philosophical and theological conceptions of this phenomenon, I will deal with an influence of faith in free will on our psyche and happiness in life. With a questionnaire of Free Will and eterminism (FAD Plus), I will examine how faith in free will or determinism affects school success of college students. Keywords Free will, determinism, fatalism, unpredictibility, psychology, college students, belief, grades
Differences in drawing of preschool children depending on their school maturity
Šanderová, Veronika ; Titmanová, Michaela (advisor) ; Klusák, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare drawings of school mature and immature children. These drawings should differ in certain features. The group of children was divided by the expert into two parts - children mature and immature. The division was made on the base of psychological screening. These children were called by the author to paint two drawing - a tree and drawing of free theme (the drawing of a man was undertaken from their Kern Jirasek's School Maturity Test). On the basis of the literature analysis, the criteria for the evaluation of these drawings (including both graphomotorics and cognitive aspects) were choosed. The main theme of the research concerns the evaluation of the drawings of children of both groups. The main output of the thesis is a comparison of the two groups of children, the description of the main features of the drawings of school-mature and immature children and the estimating the fact, that the drawings are consistent with the psychological screening examination. KEY WORDS School maturity, school readiness, pre-school age, Kern-Jirasek's School Maturity Test, drawing of a male person, drawing of a tree, free drawing
The Role of Human Figure in Indicative Test of School maturity
Michálková, Anna ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Presslerová, Pavla (referee)
The thesis deals with the role of drawing of a human figure in Jirásek's Orientation Test of school maturity. The aim is to contribute to the development of theory of tested abilities. Empirical material consists of the works of preschool children in the Oriental Test of School Maturity, including the one for verbal thinking and in a selected set of Raven color progressive matrices. Data collection took place in two phases, four months apart. The underlying question is whether performance in drawing of a human figure will correlate more closely with performance in other tasks that are also oriented towards nonverbal (vs. verbal) and infralogical (vs. logical) operations. It turned out that it is not the case since the correlation is related rather to the degree of the general intellectual level. When analyzing developmental correlations within the given time frame, the development of drawing of a male character was grasped as a variable working synchronously with the development of other tasks. It was also grasped in the first phase as an independent variable and also as a dependent variable. Applying stricter correlation rates it has been shown that in a time interval of 4 months, the initial level of drawing of a human figure does not significantly affect development in other areas.Weaker...
Idols in narratives of school age children
Hrdličková, Lucie ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Miloš (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the theme of school children idols. It aims to explore what school children are imagining about their idols. The empirical part is dedicated to idol choices of the same and opposite sex, brief characteristics of the choice, and stories connected to one or both idols. The thesis works with a mixed design of research. A part of the research dealing with written stories was processed quantitatively, and the qualitative part contains a correlation between the qualities of the stories and the authors. The theoretical part presents the current view of the theme of idols and the terms associated with this issue. At the beginning idol choices are discussed, and later the work is devoted to origin papers. The proximity of the idol was explored. For the purpose of this work, two categories of loved ones and social idols were set aside. The work focuses on the literary quality of stories and in this context it solves the possibilities of authors based on their age. The work comes with the discovery of a fundamental consensus on the main themes in stories and games played by school-age children. In addition, the work provides insight into the topics passing through the stories and shows the relationship between the child and his idol. The most frequent issue in the stories is the...
