Comparison of pupil's physical ability in urban and rural schools
Budková, Kristýna ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chvostek, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this study was to compare the physical ability of 7th grade elementary school students in towns and villages in the Nymburk district. Four motor tests were used to assess the student's physical ability: shuttle run 4x10 m, standing broad jump, sit-ups and endurance shuttle run. The theoretical part of the work focused on physical ability, its testing and physical activity. In the research section the study describes, evaluates and compares the data obtained from the physical ability testing of 494 pupils from 10 elementary schools, using the Unifittest point norms 6-60 for the age category of 12 years. The results of investigation showed that the physical ability level of the studied group is below average. However, pupils from urban schools achieved better average results in all four motor tests than pupils from rural schools. The average STB score of urban schools is 18,63 points, while the average STB of pupils in rural schools is 15,61 points. The testing also showed that pupil's endurance abilities were the weakest compared to the other tested disciplines.
Progression of performance in climbing on climbing wall with children aged from 7 to 15 years
Rakovič, Adam ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Chvostek, Lukáš (referee)
This bachelor thesis will research how kids from 7 to 15 years improve in climbing on climbing wall, specifically at performance depending on time when the children actively climb. Performance will be based on whether a particular kid has improved in climbing a rated boulder and rope route. To be this improve perticeptible, there has to be time distance in which the kid has possibility to make progress in technical and physical abbilities. This time gap between first and second performances measurements was 10 months. The research took place in sport center climbing wall Třináctka in Prague, Lužiny. Compared performances were obtained by measuring performances of the respondents who regularly participate their climbing course. These performances and their difference which represented improvement or deterioration was subsequently processed in Microsoft Excel. The theoretical part includes description of wall climbing and other types of climbing depending on surface where is this sport practises. It also includes the informations about history, safety, climbing equipment, evaluation and classification of routes. It relates with events in climbing. From the results was evident that kids aged from 7 to 15 years overall improved their climbing skills during the research. We also find out that...
Movement skills of the youth category competitiors in the throwing disciplines hammer throw and discuss throw
Bártová, Veronika ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Suchý, Jiří (referee)
The purpose of the research part of this thesis is to determine and compare the level of physical abilities of athletes in the hammer throw and discus throw who are enrolled in the Sports Centre for Youth. The testing was conducted in November 2021 and 2022, and a total of 50 athletes in hammer throw and discus throw participated. The test battery consists of several tests that determine the level of speed, explosive strength, as well as endurance skills. The data are compared against the evaluation scale created by the Czech Athletic Association for the purpose of test evaluation. The results were also compared with each other to determine whether hammer throwers or discus throwers or athletes in the youth or junior category achieved a better level of movement abilities. The results of the research show that the vast majority of athletes achieve the average level of ability that was tested. The tests also showed that a relatively large percentage of competitors (around 20 %) from both hammer throwers and discus throwers exhibit a below average level of explosive strength lower limb abilities, which is confirmed to be important for performance in the throwing events, as demonstrated in the next section of the research. In the tests, the male discus throwers achieved a better level, while the result...
Performance of children in rural and urban schools in athletics
Křížková, Amálie ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis includes a critique of resources which were used. The history of athletics is summarized, the selected athletic disciplines (which are more analysed in the practical part), as well as movement skills (dexterity-coordination, strength, speed and endurance) are characterized. Older school age is defined including mental, motor and social features. This part also describes the sports equipment of primary schools. The research part focuses on selected urban and rural schools in Louny district. It analyses its basic equipment suitable for athletics. It also processes the measured data obtained in particular schools and offers descriptive statistics. The achievements of boys and girls are analysed and compared. The chosen research tool was the measurement of individual athletic disciplines: 60 m run, long jump, high jump and 1000 m run. The thesis also suggests how to use the obtained data in teaching practice.
Comparison of the physical fitness of registered athletes - elevs and the general population of children of the same age category in athletic quadruple
Růžičková, Daniela ; Kašpar, Ladislav (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the comparison of the performance of registered athletes of the elevs category and children of the general population of fifth grade in athletic quadruple. The athletic quadruple consists of 60 metres run, long jump, 600 metres run and cricket ball throw. The main objective is to determine, how much specialization at an early age affects athletic performance. A sub-objective is to compare the performance of registered athletes and children of the general population using mathematical and statistical methods in each selected discipline. The performance measurements took place in the USK Provod club and at the Mírová elementary school in Ústí nad Labem. The total number of the research population is 40 children, 20 registered athletes and 20 children of the general population, 10 girls and 10 boys. The data from my research show that specialization and regular training at an early age were able to significantly influence the performance of registered athletes. The category of registered athletes performs better than the category of children of the general population in all the specified disciplines.

The main aim of this thesis is to determine and compare the movement abilities of ninth-grade elementary school students and students of the same age from high schools called "gymnázium". The UNIFITTEST 6-60 test battery was used to determine the level of movement abilities. The sub-goals of the thesis are to compare the obtained results with population norms, compare somatic conditions of both research groups, and compare movement abilities with respect to gender. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and research part. In the theoretical section, we first focus on the definition, classification, and description of movement abilities. Then, the history and composition of the UNIFITTEST 6-60 test profile are presented. Furthermore, the theoretical section includes chapters on age-related specifics of youth aged 14-15 years, differences in physical education and sport lessons in both types of schools and a review of available literature.
