Reflections of Eastern Philosophy in the Works of Arthur Schopenhauer
Soul Care and the Problem of Education
Novák, Jan ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee) ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor)
Care of the Soul and Problem of Education The Czech philosopher Jan Patočka shows two different modalities of soul concepts while thinking about Jan Amos Komenský's heritage for contemporary pedagogy. The close-set soul conceptus supposes simply recognizeable world, modern ideas of its controllability and scientific structure scheme. Education, which means care of the soul in three ways - care of the soul in the sense of cosmos order, in the sense of public and in the personal way, means (following close-set conceptus) formation, preparation and setting up the undone young being for life in the modern society. Reflexions of our contemporary situation find out, that modern situation appears as a crisis. This crisis demands a new approach to education, which could be found in the open-set soul concept. The open-set soul could be described as something incomplete, which is searching its fundamentals all the time. Another characteristic shows affinity of the soul for something superior or sense of own finality. Education in this way unveils itself like repeatedly reached humanity. This kind of education does not mean formation or setting up, this kind of education means revealing context of the world, society and finally own personality. Open-set mind should bring responsibility through this revealing. Every...
Kierkegaard and the End of Metaphysics
Vohnická, Veronika ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Hogenová, Anna (referee)
Contribution of Danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard to European philosophy is his interest in the free human living (existence). The transcedence of an intellect on behalf of belief gets his thinking beyond the conventional conception of the world which culminated in the Hegel's system. Distraction of an abstract thinking and enforcement of an individual is a hard failure when we want to understand the world. The individual human being is a key and ressource to assumption of the universal being and particular existence. Complete research of ideas anxiety, irony, human existence, freedom and truth is a proof of a possibility that we can handle the complex of being and truth. The essential movement (return to own heart) is a conjuction with reflection can be a fundamental of understanding true existence. The posibility of insight of the komplex of being. Experience of a faulted moment (in human existence) enables insight into complex of being and understanding an individuality of spending human existence. This writing outlines development of méthaphysic from antique period through German classical philosophy and the influence of Soren Kierkegaard on the breakage of traditional conception of human existence and his relation to Sókratés. It's shown Kierkegaard's contributing to existentialism and destiny of...
Grasping of the Phenomenon of the End and the Finality of History in Philosophy and Historiography of the 20th Century
Geriatric problems in pastoral care (The precondition of Christian ethics in care of the old people)
Brzáková Beksová, Kateřina ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Kučera, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pelcová, Naděžda (referee)
Kateřina Brzáková Beksová GERIATRICKÁ PROBLEMATIKA V PASTORÁLNÍ PÉČI (Postulát křesťanské etiky v péči o seniory) Geriatric problems in pastoral care (The precondition of Christian ethics in care of the old people) Geriatric problems have become an urgent appeal to the present Christian theology and this study wants to relate Christian values to the all dimensions of human life. Pastoral care proposes an approach that integrates biological, psychological, and social changes with existential, spiritual, and value changes. This approach thus calls attention to such gerontological phenomena as the dignity, altruistic love, empathy, and compassionate concern, because that it is impossible to overcome the current ethical relativism without those values.
Faith in the Background of the Postmodern Discourse
The Way of Thoughts of the Evangelical Theologist Prof. ThDr. Jan Heller
Jermanová, Marie ; Hogenová, Anna (referee) ; Funda, Otakar A. (advisor)
This thesis presents the world of thoughts of Prof. ThDr. Jan Heller (1925 - 2008) which ranges from theology, namely the Old Testament theology, to the study of religions. This overlap between theology and the study of religions is proved as highly productive. The paper also deals with Heller's approach to the world - with religious philosophy that is formed by the biblical message and draws on the philosophy of Martin Buber. The paper also examines the influences of Heller's direct teachers - theologians Slavomil . Daněk and Karl Barth on his work. Within the field of the religious studies the paper is concerned with the responsive hypothesis - a theory of the origin of religion that Heller offers as his own contribution to the study of religions. The thesis also deals with the distinction between religion and religiosity, with theory and theology of the ethical turn during the Axial Age, with Heller's approach to the non-theistic religious systems and examines also the possibilities of an interreligious dialogue between Christianity and the non-theistic religions. Heller's studies in the field of ancient religious systems surrounding the old Israel are dealt with as well. Concerning theology, the paper deals with Heller's approach to the text of bible and the related question of the traditional process....
