Streaming Ray Tracer on GPU
Dvořák, Jakub ; Jošth, Radovan (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Current consumer GPUs can be used as high performance stream processors and are a tempting platform to be used to implement raytracing. In this paper I briefly present raytracing principles and methods used to accelerate it, modern GPUs programmable pipeline and examples of its use. I describe stream processing in general and available interfaces enabling the usage of GPU as stream processor. Then I present my GPU raytracer implementation, used algorithms and experiments I have made.
Brand Building Strategy for HYTEX PRODUCTION s.r.o.
Dvořák, Jakub ; Zorníková, Karin (referee) ; Zich, Robert (advisor)
The objective of the thesis “brand building strategy for HYTEX Production s.r.o.” is the analyses of brand building of the company HYTEX Production s.r.o. and the analyses of marketing activities focused on brand building. The thesis is divided into two main parts. In the theoretical part the brand, it´s building and also building of brand equity are introduced. In addition to that, the author focuses on marketing communication tools which support the building of brand equity. At the end of theoretical part, the author gives recommendations for brand building. In the practical part the company and internal and external environment of the company are introduced. Then the brand building, marketing analysis and analysis of current status of the company. On the bases of the evaluation of the analysis results, the recommendations for further company development are given.
Productive milling of aluminum alloys
Dvořák, Jakub ; Žídek, Jan (referee) ; Jaroš, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on milling of aluminum alloys, where the technology of milling is described in the first place, then the cutting materials and aluminum alloys. The main subject of the work was to carry out the experiment. The Experiment was focused on influence of cutting conditions on the final quality of the surface with regard to machine time. The aluminum workpiece was milled at different cutting speeds and various feed per tooth. At the same time the quality of the surface was examened and machine times were calculated. The Experiment showed us, whether it pays to use higher cutting speeds and feed per tooth, keeping the set of limited values of surface roughness with respect to the machine time. The result of the experiment is the following - the increasing feed per tooth deteriorates the quality of machined surface, but machine time is reduced.
Design of a building using alternative materials with respect to the requirements for sustainable development
Dvořák, Jakub ; Remeš, Josef (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a small family house, which construction uses alternative building materials. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the world, European and Czech legislation related to sustainable development. The concept of ecological construction, which focuses on the possibilities of reducing the negative impacts of construction production on the environment at various stages of construction and on energy, material, water and waste management, is also presented. The thesis also describes advantages and disadvantages of particular solutions. In the second part of the thesis, which based on theoretical knowledge, is the design of a family house from alternative materials worked out. The design of the study in the scale of 1:100 consists of measured floor plan drawings of all storeys, characteristic measured section drawings, layout plans with displayed furniture and equipment, elevation drawings of particular facades, roof drawings and situation design. The drawing part is accompanied by a text part. The processed design is compared to the reference building and then evaluated from the point of view of functional, economic, environmental and social requirements.
Geometric Aspects of Detecting Grassland Mowing in Krkonoše Mountains Based on Sentinel-1 Coherence
Dvořák, Jakub ; Potůčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Mouratidis, Antonios (referee)
Grassland mowing is a common management practice used in European grasslands for livestock fodder production and to enhance biodiversity. To support a less intensive use of grasslands, public agencies look for a reliable way to monitor the management performed on the grasslands. Satellite remote sensing is a key tool for monitoring over large areas, with SAR remote sensing being especially useful in areas with high cloud cover. However, grassland monitoring using SAR in complex terrain is not fully understood and may come with challenges related to topography and sensor geometry. To explore these potential challenges, this thesis detected mowing events using a high-resolution DEM for precise coregistration and terrain correction of Sentinel-1 SAR imagery. Effect of local incidence angle on detection accuracy from interferometric coherence was also explored. The hypotheses were tested on 61 grassland plots in Krkonoše mountains, Czechia. Detection accuracies in this thesis were higher than in previous studies when only considering SAR detections. The improvement was most likely caused by counting detections from individual orbits to assess the certainty of each detection. A deeper analysis showed that using a high-resolution DEM led to a horizontal shift in computed coherence, but the shift had no...
Unconventional Methods for Interacting with a Robotics Workplace
Dvořák, Jakub ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on non-traditional methods of interaction with a robotic workplace, with an emphasis on camera tracking of the user, control of the workplace using camera outputs and human-robot interaction. The main focus of the work is the integration of Azure Kinect, a human detection device, into the ARCOR2 robot programming system. This thesis presents an extension to ARCOR2 that uses Azure Kinect to obtain information about the users' location and motion, which is then used to control the workplace using gestures, and explores the possibilities of interacting with the robot workplace. This extension enables easier and more natural human-workplace interaction, contributing to more effective use of robots in industry and research. The result of this work is a functional system for tracking the user with a camera, including the possibility of using this information to program the robotic workstation. The result of the work further increases the efficiency of human-robot interactions and opens the door for further innovations in robot programming using the ARCOR2 system.
Strategic Planning at the Local Level
DVOŘÁK, Jakub
This thesis deals with the strategic planning in the public administration and at the local level. The aim of this paper is to map the strategic planning in the public administration and its development, and to analyse and compare all necessary strategic documents for the well-functioning of Písek. Other priorities of the paper include the assessment of the relationship between strategic planning and urban, local and regional development strategies. Further, the strategic documents needed for the well-functioning towns and municipalities are analysed and dealt with. In addition, development and changes in strategic planning are evaluated after the accession to the European Union. All the strategic documents needed to operate within this local level (Písek) are analysed and compared in terms of mutual compliance between the main strategy "Strategic plan and creation of the concept of development of the town of Písek until 2025" and other development documents. Analysis based on publicly available strategic documents and the results are compared afterwards. In conclusion, recommendations and proposals for improvements are provided.
Mundanity at the End of the City
Dvořák, Jakub ; Nikitinová, Alice (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is part of a long-term built and developed cycle of paintings, in which I deal with the environment of the small-town periphery, or the small-town landscape in general. In the paintings I try to create an atmosphere on the aspects of mundaneness, everyday life and civility. I do not avoid a certain descriptiveness to express my message to the audience. In painting, I looked mainly at composition and color. My main goal is show to the viewers the image of a contemporary Czech small town.
Vítkovice in the Era of State-building. The Contribution to Social History
Dvořák, Jakub ; Hnilica, Jiří (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee)
The aim of the diploma thesis called "Vítkovice in the Era of State-Building. The Contribution to Social History" is to describe and analyse social relations and social interactions in Vítkovice in the twenties of the 20th century. It is focused on two main topics which were really important for society in Vítkovice in that period. The thesis consists of two chapters, which are: relation between nations and housing strategy. The dynamics of the society in Vítkovice is determined by the Vítkovice Ironworks. That is reason why company is such important part of the research field. Position of Vítkovice Ironworks was very influential because of connection between the company and the city. Whereas relations between nations were strained because of policy of the company, despite of housing crisis Ironwork's housing strategy helped to unify the society.
