Childrens tolerance for advertisements

The content of this bachelor's thesis is the analysis of advertising communication as the phenomena of contemporary world, especially in the relation to target group of children. The work focuses on the television being the most effective advertising medium. The theoretical part firstly deals with characterizing of the television medium, then it specifies television as the tool of advertising communication. Subsequently, the work concentrates on the advertising itself, its goals and specifics. The attention is also paid to child addressees and legislative and ethical precautions that protect them in the area of advertisement. The work specifically focuses on the level of child's tolerance to television advertisement and on the basis of qualitative research, it evaluates the child's knowledge of advertisement and what they mind about it.
Adults' motivation to study the English language

Key words: adult education, the English language education, motivation Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of adult's motivation to study the English language. The work is devided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains three main chapters, Adult's Education, Language Education and Motivation and Its Characteristic Features. In the practical part there are described the main motivational factors that influence adults in the study of the English language and also the factors that create obstacles for them. These data were compiled in the qualitative research that was via method of a structured interview. The research sample includes fifteen people.

Possibilities and Limits of the ICT Use in Teaching Key words: ICT (Information and Communication Technologies - netbooks, interactive boards, PC etc.), pedagogical communication, teaching techniques, organizational forms of work, participant observation This diploma thesis deals with the theme of ICT use in teaching - their possibilities and limits. The theoretical part consists of use of selected types of ICT, methodology and didactic aspects when using ICT, and projects concerning the introduction of ICT into teaching. The empirical part consists of research focused on the pupils in the second stage of basic education. The methods of this research have been done in the form of participant observation supplemented with semi-structured interviews with teachers and video recordings, which should specify the observation. The aim of the empirical part is to concentrate on teacher's pedagogical communication with learners (with respect to verbal and nonverbal communication), teaching techniques and organizational forms of work, the ways of use of ICT in teaching realized with pupils in the second stage of basic education at a Prague basic school, and then interpret the results obtained.

DUSCHINSKÁ, K. Mentoring v procesu stávání se učitelem. Disertační práce, PedF UK v Praze 2010. ABSTRACT (EN) The aim of the dissertation thesis is to analyse mentoring as a facilitative means to promote professional learning during the practical component of initial teacher education in the Czech republic. Theoretical part gives introduction to the Czech and European mentoring context in teacher education and brings an overview on selected theoretical mentoring models and relevant research findings. An own theoretical mentoring model, developed through the grounded theory research design, is the core of the empirical part of the thesis. The detailed description of the inductive methodology explains gradual data collection and analytical techniques of open, axial, selective and thematic coding. Concept mapping through Cmaps Tools software has been chosen for interim and final visualisation of the results. Basic concepts and relations are analyzed and the mentor relationship is identified as the core cathegory of the analytical story line. The work brings an interim paradigm model, a typology of the mentor relationship and a complex causal theoretical mentoring model in the Czech republic.
