Fleková, Petra ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Name: Motor skills of preschool children Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to determine the difference of motor skills of preschool children among children regularly attending free time courses focused on physical activities, led by experienced lecturers, and children in different kindergartens who do not attend these courses or rarely attend them. Methods: 67 children aged 4-6 years participated in the research. These were 9 children from the municipal kindergarten, 30 children from the village kindergarten and 28 children from the sports agency (club). Children were evaluated once by using the following tests: beep test, 4x5 m run, long jump, ball throw with right and left hand, sit and reach test. Results: The results confirm the assumption that children who participate in physical activity in their free time as well as in the kindergarten have better results than children who do physical education only in kindergarten. At the municipal nursery school, the children at the best level managed only the right- and left-hand throw. Statistically significant differences between groups occurred in the 4 x 5 m run, long jump and beep test, most often in favor of the sports agency. There was a significant difference in disciplines running 4 x 5 m, long jump from place and beep test between village...

Title: Changes in posture, flexibility, handgrip and balance in children with special Leeds after 5days suburban camp Objectives: The main objective is to determine the development of selected parameters in physical skills and posture in children with special needs who attended a week lasting inclusive suburban camp. Methods: This is a mixed research with a predominance of qualitative methods. It uses repeated measurements (pretest-posttest). The evaluation of children is conceived as a group (mean and SD) as well as case reports of individual children. A total of 10 children (3 boys, 7 girls) aged 7 to 14 years with different types of special educational needs were evaluated. Mathias test, Thomayer test, handgrip measurement, shoulder rotation test and standing on one leg were used to evaluate movement abilities and posture. Results: The results of the measurements show that in each of the selected tests at least one child improved motor skills. Furthermore, all measured children improved in at least one of the measured parameters. Parents' opinions show that all the children who participated in the camp were in a better physical condition after the camp than beforethe camp. However, the results should be presented with caution because of high data variability and low number of subjects. Keywords:...

Title: Quality of life in sitting volleyball players Objectives: The main goal of the thesis is to summarize and extend knowledge about sitting volleyball and to analyse quality of life in sitting volleyball players. Methods: For the analysis we have used standardized questionnaire from the World Health Organization in its short version named WHOQOL-BREF. 12 players (8 men, 4 women) with average age 40,6 years participated in the study. Results: The results of the questionnaire show, that quality of life in sitting volleyball players is better then quality of life of general population. We can deduce it from the fact, that their answers were better in three of four domains of the questionnaire (experiencing, social relations, surroundings). Only in the domain of physical health, sitting volleyball players showed worse results than general population, what could not be surprising due to their physical handicap.
