The subject of this bachelor thesis is a new building solution of a multifunctional house founded on the edge of „the Old“ Líšeň in Brno as a follow up to a panel development of the residential buildings from the 80’s years of the last century (so called „the New“ Líšeň). The design is based on the position on undeveloped steep slope overgrown by green vegetation, on the form of the surrounding buildings and also on needs for the creation of family housing as well as the needs of residents of the particular district. The suggested object includes two different units – the solution of eight flats, including one accessible flat with housing equipment and space for services – café and fitness centre. The multifunctional house consists of two above-grounf floors, basement and of the flat roof. It is located in the northern part of the slope, where is the best available from the traffic and besides provides a remarkable view on the city. The object creates a symetrical compact matter, which with each ground floor stands back, so that the spacious terraces could be established. The dominant of the project is a covered passage, which intersect the matter in the axis, so it takes a shortcut through the building. The place serves as a hotel-based, relaxing space constituted by fast-food stands and playground. The southern part of the covered passage continues in a hotel-based stairway allowing undisturbed recreation. The intention of the project is a formation of a compact unit, which separates the two operations, so that the layout of communication remains and the best orientation to all cardinal points is enabled. In the basement is situated the café with an outside terrace and fitness centre, both with the entrance from the southern side. In the other above-ground floor are to be found dwelling units accessible from the north on the covered exterior stairways. For the structural system is utilized the modular system Intecon, which consists of steel frames enabling a

This work deals with elaboration of project documentation, adjustments of architectural study and processing architectural detail of a House next to the Kaple svatého Františka z Assisi. The task was to design a polyfunctional building on a corner lot, which is a part of the housing estates of Táborská Street and ends the housing estates of Nezamyslova Street, in the city district Brno-Židenice. The goal of this project was to create an object that would be attractive by it's content for the whole district. The design is composed of two objects. The object that would be a part of the Táborská Street housing estate is a five storey building. The ground floor is used for commerce, specifically a library with a coffe shop. The other three stories are dedicated to residential accommodation for young. The first floor contains two smaller and two larger flats, where each of them is composed of two residential compartments and a shared kitchen joined with the living room. One of these flats is barrier-free. Trough the second and third storey pass six duplex flats. The second object that is a part of the Nezamyslova Street housing estate is a three storey building. The ground floor is again used for commerce, specifically a paper shop. The first floor houses one two floor flat and one four room flat. Due to the shortage of parking space an underground parking lot is situated below the objects which is accessed from the Nezamyslova Street.A significant element of this project is an object formed by an intersection of cubical shapes laid partially on the residential objects. This object creates a vertical garden accessible not only to the tenants, but primarily to the public. This object adds an otherwise absent green space in an unconvientional vertical form. It is a two storey object made of a steel contsruction, overgrown by green vines, whose irregularity allows the visitors increased view of the surroundings and at the same time allowing relaxation while surrounded

This dissertation Barrier-free Work Environment examines and emphasizes some elements, which are projected and will be projected even more into architectural production – architect’s work. Buildings designed specially to create a working environment accessible for disabled people are of a current interest and they will become a very prominent subject of social development in the future, because it will be necessary to react sensitively to the disproportions in human abilities and in the society’s capability to create new workplaces, implement progressive technologies, computer systems, and last but not least, to react to new possibilities of people’s creative invention. This thesis is based on the key definitions for this topic – the terms health and handicap. It is aimed at the ethics of communication in a society and its perception by a person with some kind of disability – handicap. This thesis also analyzes the limits of human possibilities in the context of contemporary and future progressive technologies. The topic of accessible workplaces necessarily derives from the historical development of workplaces, and it indicates the future trends of development. An important part of this thesis is concerned with the conditions for creating a friendly working environment, not only from the aspect of the construction itself, but mainly by the interior design, its flexible furniture, and special work tools not only for the handicapped. This dissertation and its contribution to the scholarly research are based on evaluation of an opinion survey, whose respondents were companies employing handicapped people. The analysis and consequent synthesis of the answers given by the employers of the disadvantaged people brought pieces of information, which are summarized in conclusions and recommendations.
