The topic of this thesis is the institute of contractual fine according to the applicable adjustments in the Civil Code. In eleven chapters is analyzed the historical development of this institute, as well as recent regulation compared with the new Civil Code (Law No. 89/2012 Coll.) and foreign regulations of Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. There is also dealed the issue of the amount of the contractual fine, as well as issue of entitlement to a contractual fine and other topics. Part of the work was also devoted to the relevant case law.
The ratio of second to fourth digit length and sport performance in recreational and top snowboarders
Švehla, Jakub ; Pivoňková, Věra (advisor) ; Lindová, Jitka (referee)
The second (index finger) to fourth (ring finger) digit length ratio (2D:4D) is known to be a putative marker of prenatal exposure to the testosterone. It has been reported that fetal testosterone may be critical for development of morphological and psychological traits such as quality of the cardiovascular system, visuo-spatial ability, risk-taking behavior and behavioral masculinity. Testosterone-driven attributes are associated with success in male-to- male physical competition, which may be proxied by ability in sports. Many studies have found that 2D:4D is sexually dimorphic and low (male-typical) 2D:4D ratio is associated with athletic performance. This study aims to investigate possible associations of performance in sport with 2D:4D ratio, personality characteristics (Big Five model), willing to take risks and training habits, in a sample of 57 top and 57 recreational snowboard racers. We did not find any associations between 2D:4D ratio and sport performance, no significant differences were found in 2D:4D ratio between samples. We found negative associations between agreeableness and sport performance; individuals with low agreeableness achieved higher results in the real competition of freestyle snowboarding. Low agreeableness used to be associated with aggressiveness, emulation and...
The Czech National Bank, its legal position and scope of activities
Švehla, Jan ; Kohajda, Michael (advisor) ; Kotáb, Petr (referee)
The Czech National Bank, its legal position and scope of activities My diploma thesis deals with the legal position and the scope of activities of the Czech central bank. The central bank holds an important position, as it is able to to influence the state's economic situation. This thesis is divided into three chapters, the first deals with the issue of central banking in general. It contains the basic theoretical framework, which is important for further interpretation. Main focus is given to the defining attributes of the central bank, differences in view and approach to central banking and objectives that it should achieve. The second part deals with the historical development of the central banking in the Czech Republic and its predecessors. It follows the creation and transformation of the institution from Austro-Hungarian monarchy over to the period of the First Republic and discusses the situation in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and in communist Czechoslovakia. The chapter is closed by description of changes to central banking following the Velvet Revolution in 1989 and the path to the modern independent central bank. The first part of the third chapter focuses on the legal position of the Czech National Bank. It defines the legislative basis, mainly rising from the Constitution and the...

Generation of NPS for Exposure Experiments from Copper Acetylacetone.
Moravec, P. ; Schwarz, J. ; Vodička, P. ; Kupčík, Jaroslav ; Švehla, J.
Particles containing copper are emitted from smelters, iron foundries, power stations, and municipal incinerators (WHO, 1998) and also from brake linings during breaking, Kukutschová et al. (2011). Nanoparticles (NPs) of copper are ingredients in polymers, inks, and bioactive coatings inhibiting the growth of microorganisms, Cioffi at al. (2005), and CuO NPs has been used in antimicrobial textiles, Gabbay and Borkow (2006), therefore they can be easily inhaled. Even though CuO NPs were found highly toxic, Karlsson et al. (2008), in vivo studies of their toxicity are still rather rare. In this work we tested a method of long lasting nanoparticle generation from copper acetylacetonate (CuAA) for use in follow up exposure experiments with laboratory animals. The exposure chamber for inhalation experiments was constructed in the Institute of Analytical Chemistry AS CR (Večeřa et al., 2011) and some methods of NPs generation for these experiments were already tested in our laboratory (Moravec et al., 2015, Moravec et al., 2016).

Implement Android Application for Download and Listening to Audio Podcasts
Švehla, Ján ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This master's thesis is aimed at the problems and issues which are encountered over the development of application for mobile devices. An application for managing and listening of audio podcasts was chosen to be developed. This thesis will guide the reader through general topics and issues of "User Experience" research, its usage and specification on mobile devices and actual design and the implementation of developed application. Results of this work can be used for the development of applications with respect to user centered design.
3D Object Rendering into Real Environments Using Mobile Devices
Re Vision
Švehla, Jakub ; Šrámek, Jan (referee) ; Kögler, Žaneta (advisor)
In form of 3D animation the thesis depicts the steps of mankind towards the expansion of civilization beyond planet Earth. Chronologically it exposes essential moments of technological development (in major) preceding the journey for the distant planets. Images of today's state of civilization are combined with constructions of former theoretical concepts and with fully fictitious elements to form visuals illustrating the roadmap to extraterrestrial expansion.
