Diversity management

The theme of this bachelor thesis is diversity management - managing diversity in organizations. Diversity management is introduced as a concept, based on fight against discrimination, appreciating interindividual differences among people and brings organization a profit. The first part focuses on human rights, discrimination and equal opportunities. Definition interindividual differences - dimensions of diversity in the next chapter is an important prerequisite to understanding the essence of diversity management. Diversity management is primarily interested in groups of workers who are usually disadvantaged in organizations, these include mainly women, persons of other race or ethnicity, persons over 50 years and persons with disabilities. From the perspective of organization is very important an implementation of the concept in the organization and benefits and costs that relate to this process. Then this thesis in terms of organization focuses on how diversity management is reflected in personnel activities. The last part of the thesis is dedicated to situation of diversity management in the Czech Republic.
Supervision of volunteers in nonprofit organizations

The theme of the presented bachelor thesis is the process of supervision and the volunteerism. Volunteering is an important subject in today's society and essentials workforce in social work. The aim of this work is to focus on the non-profit sector and try to describe it. Furthermore, there is an explanation of the position of volunteers in these organizations and supervision in social work. Supervision is one of the managerial function in non-profit organizations, which is widely and long-term applied. The thesis wants to show basics, consequences and benefits of volunteer's supervision. Providing supervision is one of the main objectives of the organization to support staff or their volunteers. This bachelor thesis explores volunteering and supervision in two countries, the Czech Republic and Sweden. This thesis compares two different approaches, based on history of these two countries. Volunteering and supervision are very interesting features of the non-profit organizations. The practical part of this thesis comprises from qualitative investigation of different nonprofit organizations. Financial literacy

Financial literacy Financial illiteracy among the population is a painful problem, probably in every country in the world, including Czech Republic. The first part of this work intends to define financial literacy as a subject of andragogy. The next parts are concerned with various researches regarding financial literacy, mostly from the United States and from the Czech Republic. Then, many projects, that shall improve financial literacy among Czech population, are going to be observed and compared. We will see how the main three sectors (the state, commercial subjects and the NGO's) are cooperating in order to achieve the common goals in spreading the financial literacy. The last part of this work is about dividing the population into various groups on the basis of their financial literacy level.
New Age as a Concept of a Life Style and Development of Personality

Bachelor thesis describes the essential characteristics of New Age in terms of historical circumstances, the theoretical bases of authors, the way of membership and sources of inspiration. The author examines how this phenomenon corresponds to the post-modern features of the present, how is reflected in the lifestyle and culture of society, particularly as it absorbs the current practice of adult education - leisure education, professional training and life support. At the conclusion of the mentioned possible pitfalls and paradoxes of the New Age concept.
Czech as a foreign language in adult education

The topic of this thesis is teaching Czech as a foreign language in adult education. There are wide issues with many partial aspects. The goal of the work is to process the most important of them especially didactical issues. Therefore the thesis is analysing the situation of the subjects of the education - the adult students of Czech as a foreign language and their teachers. It is also analysing the object of the eduaction - the Czech language itself and didactic and methodological aspects. In the practical part of the thesis there is analysis and subsequent comparison of didactic tools and their contents. It is quite broad view of the field of Czech as a foreign language which is also trying to identify some deficiencies and to establish topics suitable for further processing.
Superlearning

This specialized thesis is dedicated to the subject of superlearning. Its main objectives are clearly organized and meaningful completion of the present knowing of the given question and mediation of information about use of superlearning in language teaching in The Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of four main chapters. Superlearning is very often ranked among the didactic methods. The first chapter is dedicated to them. But superlearning is the special didactic system, it is said and explained in the second chapter. Its parts are also clarifying of relation with suggestopaedia and description of their common principles. The penultimate chapter is composed of three parts - the first one belongs to the phases of the group tuition of superlearning, the second one to superlearning as a way of self education and the third one to the method of language teaching called DME, which exploits the effective tenets of superlearning. Personal diagnostics-measurement methods of current and perspective staffs

The dissertation is focused on personnel diagnostics. It understands it as an instrument, which helps the company to choose the best employees, to compare an actual profile of personality of a candidate or an employee with an ideal profile of position, which is needed to fill, and to assess the potential of employees. It concentrates on methods of personnel diagnostics. It describes two of three groups of diagnostic methods, which can be used in human resources management. They are clinical methods and testing. There are characteristics of all subsets of this classification. There are described other methods, which are used in HR management most frequently. The dissertation describes the diagnostic methods, which can be used in practice by personnel clerks without university degree in psychology or without practice. For these purposes there are described methods like interview, Thematic Apperception Cards after Evangelu, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and technique of Pack of Personnel Cards after Evangelu. Besides from description of these methods there are recommendations for using them in practice. Separate chapter occupies with the proposal of selection procedure for real job position by using of chosen methods of diagnostics. It's about position of phone agent for outbound telemarketing.
Position of elders in education

The presented bachelor thesis deals with selected aspects of education of elders. It focuses primarily on the analysis of docility of elders and the demographical situation in the Czech Republic. The paper is divided into four chapters, which deal with the position of elders in the society, the changes of docility linked with age, motivation to study and universities of the third age, respectively. Active involvement in educational process has a positive impact on mental condition of every individual. The aim of this thesis is to capture problems which arise in the sphere of docility in connection with proceeding age. A further target is the comparison of course offers of universities of the third age with regard to their branch specialization. The thesis also mentions negative social phenomenons, which complicate elders' efforts for self-realization. Vocational education of pedagogical workers in Czech republic - contemporary situation and posibilities of lifelong learning oriented to representative organisations

anglicky The work is focused on professional training of teachers in terms of the concept of lifelong learning. Notes the role and importance of universities in the context of modernization of the content ofteaching profession and its importance for the development of the whole society. Attention is focused on the specific activity of the implementation of programs of continuing professional education of teachers in further education at nine faculties in the Czech Republic. Through comparison and analysis of educational programs, information resources brings lifelong appreciation of the performance features of high schools as a contribution to the development of socially relevant competence and professional groups throughout the company. Specifies the notion of a European educational policy in the field of training and competence development of teachers and works with comparative approaches to the professional education of teachers in selected European countries (Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Poland). Based on the results of internal analysis and comparison with the surroundings gives examples of good practice and recommendations for improvement activities in the field of further education. Concept of Age Management in Organizations in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis summarises current approaches to age management, or human resources management taking in account the age and skills of employees in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this paper deals with the background of this concept, describes the present demographical development, its consequences in the labour field, and the problem of aging population which is visible in the need to adapt applied management strategies in organisations to this trend. There are mentioned several programmes, thoughts, and legislative measures on which the newest concepts and strategic plans in Europe and the Czech Republic are based. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on a specific level of organisations, and consists of two surveys. The first one is a comparative case study for which data were collected in two organisations which have recently implemented measures stemming from age management strategies. These measures are then specified and confronted with the statements of the employees who, in semi-structured interviews with the author, talked about the changes that were put into practice under the concept of age management, and about the discrimination of persons over 50 years of age on the labour market.
