Bakalářská práce popisuje zásadní charakteristiky New Age z hlediska historických okolností vzniku, teoretické báze autorů, způsobu členství a zdrojů inspirace. Autorka sleduje, jak tento fenomén koresponduje s postmoderními rysy současnosti, jakým způsobem se projevuje v životním stylu a v kultuře společnosti, a zejména jak ho absorbuje současná andragogická praxe - zájmové vzdělávání, další profesní vzdělávání a životní pomoc. Na závěr jsou zmíněna možná úskalí a paradoxy koncepce New Age. Bachelor thesis describes the essential characteristics of New Age in terms of historical circumstances, the theoretical bases of authors, the way of membership and sources of inspiration. The author examines how this phenomenon corresponds to the post-modern features of the present, how is reflected in the lifestyle and culture of society, particularly as it absorbs the current practice of adult education - leisure education, professional training and life support. At the conclusion of the mentioned possible pitfalls and paradoxes of the New Age concept.
