In the second part of the thesis, both systems of the secondary vocational education are thoroughly analyzed. The third part of the thesis consists of a case study that describes the collaboration between the company Gerresheimer Horšovský Týn and the Vocational School Domažlice. At this point, the analysis is accompanied also by the examination of the reflection of this activity in the local newspaper called Domažlický deník. Based on the analysis of educational systems and vocational education in both countries, it is concluded that there are significant differences between the Czech and the German approach and that these differences cannot be overcome due to the current Czech legislation. Rise of Renewable Energies in the Government of Gerhard Schröder 1998-2005
Lohnertová, Daniela ; Šafařík, Petr (advisor) ; Mlsna, Petr (referee)
The aim of this work is to analyse the causes leading to the German 'green energy revolution'. The elections to the Bundestag in 1998 brought a significant change to the German political scene. By creating a coalition consisting of representatives of the social democrats and Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, the sixteen years old coalition of CDU / CSU and FDP was interrupted. This break was the result of a long-term societal development and the impact of the anti-nuclear movement, which started its forming at the beginning of the 70th years. This phenomenon is described in the first chapter of this work. The red-green government of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder enforced promotion of electricity produced from renewable energy sources and the gradual restriction of nuclear energy. The historical turning point in the conception of the Energy Policy brought the Renewable Energy Act, which sets fixed feed-in tariffs for electricity from renewable sources. It entered into force in the year 2000. The intensions that led to this decision are examined in the second chapter. A new concept of financing the social security system by implementation of an ecotax (Ökosteuer) and the development of innovative technologies designed by German industry count to the main reasons. Despite initial disagreements between the...

Havelková, Lenka ; Šafařík, Petr (advisor) ; Kučera, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis is focused on medial presentation of the trial with the protectorate government. On the case of this process I try to show how this historical trial was depicted on the pages of the periodical press Rudé právo, Lidová demokracie and Svobodné noviny. On the background of this analysis of the historical press I intend to picture the character of the afterwar years which had been characterized by groundbreaking changes within the czech society and the state. From this reason I pay attention to the question of the impact of the war on the exil london government's plans for the reconstruction of the postwar Czechoslovakia. Regarding the connection with all the postwar changes I try to picture the background of the origin of the retribution, both from the czech and foreign point of view. In consideration of the fact, that the retribution itself was a kind of means of coping with the past and starting a new period of existence, I also try do depict the political background of the trial with the protectorate government. Particularly I focus on the attempts to influence this trial and discussions, that had been circulating regarding the guilt and punishment of the defendants. The interests of the political representation were related to the media, which kept providing lots of information about...
German Media Houses on Polish Press Market
Rydlová, Lucie ; Šafařík, Petr (advisor) ; Vykoukal, Jiří (referee)
Lucie Rydlová: German media houses on Polish press market Abstract This thesis examines the activity of the German media groups Axel Springer AG and Verlagsgruppe Passau on the Polish press market. These German publishers have taken advantage of the transformation and liberalization after 1990 and have massively invested in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In Poland, dailies were published by both of the aforementioned groups. Axel Springer AG produces the tabloid daily Fakt and between 2006 and 2009 the group produced the semi-tabloid Dziennik. Verlagsgruppe Passau has owned a variety of regional dailies (now merged under one umbrella and published only a few times a week). With regard to the historical burden on the relationship between Poland and Germany, the position of a German publisher in the field of opinion-forming media is rather difficult. This thesis compares the operation of the two aforementioned publishers on the Polish press market, with the focus on how they entered the market and expanded their business, on the influence of the publisher on the editorial slant, on the controversies with the Anti-Monopoly Office, and on their attitude towards their competitors and the Polish political representation. Activities beyond publishing and standards imposed in the parent and subsidiary...
