Development and education of mediators working in the corporate environment

The issue of mediation, as an alternative way of resolving conflicts and disputes, is one of the current and important topics not only in social psychology, but also andragogy. In particular, conflicts in the workplace are a key topic in terms of corporate culture, development and education of employees, which is also the starting point of the submitted rigorous work. Therefore, further professional education of mediators working in companies as specialists dealing with the prevention and resolution of conflicts and disputes in the workplace is essential for a positive work climate, optimization of relationships in the workplace, work performance and motivation of employees. When designing the theoretical basis and the research problem within this rigorous work, it is possible to start mainly from andragogy, social psychology and human resource management. People management in people management or leadership is considered an effective tool for preventing conflicts in the workplace. The thesis Vocational Workload of Headmasters at Randomly Selected Primary Schools deals with the structure of headmasters` vocational activities at fully organized public primary schools. In its theoretical part the thesis concerns with the institution of headteacher from the legislation`s perspective, further it describes individual occupational roles of a headmaster - a leader, a manager and a practitioner. The main aim of the theoretical part is to map the structure of headmasters` vocational activities and match them with individual occupational roles held by a headmaster. The empirical part focuses on investigation based on the data gained from half-structured interviews that we held with individual headmasters of randomly selected fully organized public primary schools in Prague 8. Analyzing the interviews, we were detecting the structure of the headmasters` vocational activities: Which vocational activities match with particular occupational roles of a headmaster, if the roles are equally divided and whether the workload of the headmasters is appropriate in its amount. The topic of this thesis is the evaluation of education in a healthcare facility. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate selected educational events in a healthcare facility and to propose changes in educational activities based on the acquired knowledge. In the theoretical part, which is divided into three chapters, the introductory chapter identifiesd the concept of human resources and its development from the identification of educational needs, fromr planning to implementation. The importance of managers in the management and education of human resources and the subsequent evaluation process is also mentioned. The second chapter defines the concept of evaluation, including individual models of subsequent evaluation, which constitute a key source of information on the effectiveness of selected educational programs. The concept of efficiency is also clarified here. The third chapter deals with education in medical facilities with a focus on teaching hospitals. Its specifics are defined here, which must be taken into account in particular in accordance with the applicable legislation. This diploma thesis entitled "Possible Use of Career Counseling in Secondary school" focuses primarily on the possible way of introduction of career counseling into secondary schools that are within the czech standard eduacational system. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze both the possibilities of use and ways of realization of career counseling in secondary schools, which is now provided primarily within educational counseling. Aim of the thesis was, based on given research assumptions, to analyze opinions of both students and educational counselor on the level of services provided by the career counseling in secondary school. The first part of the thesis will discuss terms related to the area of career counseling and professional orientation of students. It will also analyze occupation selection theories and career development of students, aspects of counseling process, and it will also list knowledge about adolescence period. There will also be identified those subjects and institutions providing career counseling servises that are situated in the Czech Republic. Establishment of the Pedagogical Professional Chamber as a public-law institution standardizing the ethical rules of the teaching profession

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the theoretical establishment of the professional pedagogical chamber in the Czech Republic as a public-law institution in terms of ethical and moral patronage of the teaching profession. The profession of teacher is characterized by thorough and demanding work with people, requiring not only extensive knowledge, which is subsequently passed on to pupils and students, but also respect of moral and ethical principles, which presents teachers in public as a valuable profession, but also sets the model for exemplary and desirable behavior in society. At present, however, there is no public-law self-governing professional organization in the Czech Republic that associates members of the teaching profession and morally and ethically shields their profession, as is done, for example, by the medical or advocacy chamber of their members. This, in conjunction with the persistent absence of a defined teacher's professional standard and formal code of ethics, leads to lack of an idea who should teachers refer to regarding the problems of ethics and moral behaviour, what is expected from them in this area and also have no support in a legally established and functional professional organization.
