Critical Analysis of Tools for Financing of Housing and their Use.
Imberger, Karin ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is concerning the problematics of housing and it's availability on current market situation. Thesis includes a critical analysis of current housing financing options using various banking products, including self-financing. A survey was used to obtain and statistically process data from the real environment. Housing financing options are then processed as model examples, analyzed in more detail, compared and evaluated according to selected criteria. Based on the data analysis, several types of "model situations" will be created, for which recommendations are formulated
Mathematical Methods in Economics
Langer, Šimon ; Doubravský, Karel (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
The bachelor thesis presented here is focused on the financial analysis of Technické služby Uničov, limited company. The analysis has been carried out in the VBA code programme in MS Excel, created for the purpose of the thesis. The first part introduces the theory of financial analysis and selected statistical analysis methods. The second part follows with the supporting analytical programme introduction and subsequent implementation of the financial analysis, combined with statistical analyses. Lastly, based on the outcomes, overall assessment of the current financial condition of the company is presented, followed by recommendations for optimalisation of the situation.
Assessment of Selected Company Indicators Using Statistical Methods
Pospíšil, Vojtěch ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the application of statistical methods in assessing selected indicators of the company Draka Kabely, Ltd. This work is divided into three parts. The first part explains the terms related to financial indicators, regression and correlation analysis and also explains the matters of time series. In the second part, the calculation of selected financial indicators is performed, then statistical methods are used to predict future developments and to reveal the dependencies between the indicators. The last part contains suggestions for improving the current situation.

Slavinský, Vojtěch ; Doubravský, Karel (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of a selected e-shop. It is divided into three areas. The first part deals with the statistical analysis of individual products. The second part focuses on inventory. In this thesis, research on the topic of inventory management is carried out. Subsequently, a model is proposed and tested to determine inventory levels. The last part of the thesis deals with customer satisfaction with the carriers transporting packages from e-shops and the influences that affect this satisfaction.
High-voltage method for measuring the specific conductivity of tissue
Uher, Jakub ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This master´s thesis is dedicated to the ever-improving medical method - electroporation. This work is divided into six chapters. The first two chapters describe what electroporation entails and how it affects the tissue, how we can evaluate it and how much influence the change in tissue temperature has on measurements. The third chapter deals with the design of coaxial arrangement of electrodes - from the initial simulation to the physical product. In the fourth chapter, the measuring workplace is shown. The penultimate chapter is described and processed by individual experiments carried out on animal tissue. The last, sixth chapter summarizes the possible inaccuracies that arise in the measurement and therefore affect the results.
Simulation of electroporation effect in the heart for various application catheter designs
Kafka, Roman ; Hemzal, Martin (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
This master thesis describes modeling of electric and thermal fields in tissue during cardiac ablation based on irreversible electroporation. It is about basic principles and laws that applies to this problematics. Further, it describes the electric and thermal difference between DC and AC electroporation pulses. The follow-up work presents many simulation models of new cardiac catheters developed with research team.

Novotná, Veronika ; Rozboudová, Lenka (advisor) ; Žofková, Hana (referee)
TITLE: Czech and Russian Phraseology with Animals in Comparison AUTHOR: Veronika Novotná DEPARTMENT: Department of Russian studies and linguodidactics SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Lenka Havelková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis is based on phraseologisms which use names of animals. It compares Czech and Russian phraseologisms. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with the phraseology itself and concentrates on the concepts such as phraseologism, idiom, proverb, comparison, etc. Practical part of the thesis analyses concrete Czech and Russian phraseological units involving the names of animals. These phrases are compared and determined taking into account the extent of their equivalence. Synoptic charts provide the meaning and origin of the Czech and Russian phraseologisms according to specialized phraseological and etymological dictionaries. The extent of equivalence of particular phraseologisms is defined in these charts. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare Russian and Czech phraseologisms mainly from their content and formal points of view, and find out the extent of their equivalence. KEY WORDS: phraseologism, language culture, classification of phraseologisms, origin, meaning
Current trends in teaching listening
Vognarová, Jana ; Gráf, Tomáš (advisor) ; Quinn Novotná, Veronika (referee)
The present thesis is concerned with the current trends in teaching listening as they have been presented through a number of articles in various journals and mainly in the book by John Field: Listening in the Language Classroom who urges for a process approach, and ascertaining if these new methodological recommendations are finding their way into the classroom practice nowadays through an analysis of a number of frequently used language textbooks. The approach to teaching listening has been developing as a part of many methods used for teaching foreign languages over the years and it has gone from a completely omitted skill through a position of a rather neglected one up to its today status of causing major problems to students who complain that the speakers on the recordings speak too fast or that they cannot understand every single word. It is often the case that students manage to master listening in the confines of the language classroom, learn to cope with typical textbook listening exercises and understand their teachers and classmates, but when confronted with real-life listening outside the classroom, they frequently run into a kind of glasswall and are simply not able to deal with it. The analytical part is based on the analysis of the listening exercises in the very first and newest...
