Impacts of the Industry 4.0 on the labour market in the Czech republic in the field of industry and manufacturing

In this thesis the author is focused on the fourth industrial revolution or so called "Industry 4.0". This term refers to the current trend of digitization and automation of the manufacturing. In this paper the attention is concretely paid on its current impacts on the labour market in the area of manufacturing and industry. The thesis is focused on the current situation in the Czech Republic. In this country the term "Industry 4.0" is relatively new. In these days there are some initiatives and researches made about the implementation of the Industry 4.0. These initiatives focus not only on the area of industry and manufacturing but also on the area of education. These documents also present expected impacts of the Industry 4.0. The author compares these expectations with the current situation on the labour market. In the theoretical part of this paper the author describes the three previous industrial revolutions and their impact on the labour market and society. Then she describes the Industry 4.0 and the key phenomena related to this topic. After that there is a part about the key documents and researches. Linear Algebra Education at Secondary School

The submitted master thesis called Linear Algebra Education at Secondary School consists of a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical one deals with the identification of those linear algebra themes, which appear in the secondary school mathematics curriculum. It follows up with a more detailed look into those topics and proposes ways for further extension of secondary level linear algebra education. The main topics, which are identified in the thesis, are vectors and vector spaces, inner and dot product, systems of linear equations and matrices. The main section of this thesis is the experimental part, which incorporates the conclusions of the first one to design and later realise an online educational course of linear algebra as a part of the Talnet project, which took place in the winter semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The end of this thesis contains assessment of the results of this course.
Teaching Mathematics using the CLIL method for lower secondary pupils

This diploma thesis deals with CLIL which stands for Content and Language Integrated Learning, to be more precise it deals with the integration of Mathematics and English for lower secondary pupils. To realize this method I have chosen the topics of congruent figures in the plane and reflective symmetry. The aim of my thesis was to check whether the chosen topics are suitable for CLIL lessons, whether CLIL method is not an obstacle for the activity of pupils in the lesson or if it does not create any problems with understanding of the subject matter in Mathematics. The theoretical part is focused on describing the CLIL method in general, then I summarize the preparation of the educational experiment and describe the project of the lessons in English and in Czech language. The last part is dedicated to the realization of the experiment with three different groups of pupils of the 6th grade of elementary school. The gained data have been processed on the basis of observation and analysis of the final individual work and the questionnaire. The results of observation and analysis confirm that it is possible to integrate the teaching of Mathematics and foreign language successfully. Adéla Odvárková Carers for abandoned animals as a specific type of volunteers: the influence of the relationship with the animals on the construction of identity Abstract This thesis deals with voluntary carers for abandoned animals in the shelter and theconstruction of their identity in animal-interaction context. In the theoretical part, the author relies on the theory of constructing the identity of the animal's role in sociology and in our society. This thesis processes seven qualitative interviews with people who care for abandoned animals within specific organizations. The practical part is, except for introducing the institution and consultants, focused on the data analysis. The caregiver's relationship with animals began to form during childhood and further tightened through their help abandoned animals. This relationship had an impact that they decided to fully focus on taking care of animals in a particular shelter. This expirience was the reason to create new abilities and attitudes that are necessary for doing this work effectively. TITLE: Word Problems in the First and Second Year of Primary School AUTHOR: Pavla Weinzettel DEPARTMENT: Departmement of Mathematics and Mathematical Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Michaela Kaslová ABSTRACT: This thesis focuses on word problems in maths books for Year One and Two of primary schools, published by Alter and Prodos. The objective is to analyse the word problems set out in these maths books and to classify them according to the following criteria: context, methods of solution, time management, and non- standard types of maths problems. A partial aim of the thesis is a comparison of the textbook word problem analysis and the analysis of those word problems which the students can create themselves. The conclusions of the work point out the importance of the teacher's role in maths teaching and learning. Teachers should use their judgement when using the published maths books and endeavour to expand on them, taking into consideration the above mentioned criteria in order to increase the students' eagerness to not only to solve the maths problems but also to understand as to why they solved them the way they did.
