The Importance of Coaching in the Direct Sales on an Example of the Southwestern Company

The main objective of this thesis is to explore the dependence between coaching and sales results of sales people during the Southwestern Company internship. In the theoretical part, I describe the concept of coaching and its history, on the basis of available literature and internet sources. Further, I devote to coaching models and tools that coaches use for improving the performance of coached people. At the end of the theoretical part, I define the specifics of direct sales and I depict the importance of direct sales nowadays. The practical part is devoted to the Southwestern Company, which uses direct sales to distribute educational products. I introduce the history of the company, its product portfolio and summer Southwestern Advantage Internship for university students. The centre of this thesis is the research, which I did during the summer 2012, when I applied coaching in communication with the sales people I worked with. The conclusion of this thesis is the link between theory and experience and also the following recommendations to apply coaching to increase the volume of production of the Southwestern sales people.
Coaching as a method of managing people and its application in project management

The thesis deals with the issue of managing people. The aim of this study is to determine whether coaching is the applicable method for managing people and in what form can be used by for project management. The theoretical part deals with the inefficiencies of today's approaches to managing people, the principles of project management and methods of project management. This is a partial summary of the approaches which are applied both at home and abroad. When writing these methods begin by relevant printed and electronic sources. The practical part is focused on summarizing the methods of coaching in project management. This is a reflection on what are the prerequisites for it in order to effectively implement coaching and what methods are used today.
Coaching and its perspectives in The Czech Republic

The aim of this dissertation was to whether the VŠE students perspective of the segment is the same as the coaches' perspective using a questionnaire research of the VŠE students and coaches too, and comparing both the students' and coaches' segments and suggesting possible solution. The questionnaire research was based in The Czech Republic area. The theoretical part of the dissertation is organized the way so it would introduce the involved ones into coaching. Firstly, it introduces the term coaching, differences between coaching and psychotherapy, ethical codex of the coaching, various genres and the methods of the coaching. Secondly, it explains dimensions of the mutual corporation, the coaches' and coached people roles, expenses, the form of quality, expected benefits, expectation of the co-operation and its form. Conclusions of this dissertation can be beneficial for organizations AIESEC, RPC VŠE, Koučink klub VŠE, The Head Office of the VŠE, coaches segment, future segment students' employers and for students themselves. There are included couches, companies providing coaching and professional associations under the coaches segment.
Coaching and its contribution to corporate management in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis focuses on approach of Czech corporate management to coaching. The coaching and mentoring of people has become a trending topic lately. Coaching allows us not only to discover a potential within ourselves but also to release it fully. On the basis of qualitative research, the thesis analyses the benefits of coaching for the coached person, from the point of view of the coach, the ordering party and of the coached person him/herself using the self-assessing scales. According to the results, the most important asset for the coached person is higher autonomy and responsibility for one's work. From the manager's point of view, coaching helps promoting better communication, openness and also a possibility to praise and acknowledge employees and subordinates in a better way. The final part of the thesis evaluates the fulfillment of the laid down objectives.
Supporting Career Development of Women after Maternity Leave with Coaching (Comparison of the Situation in the Czech Republic and Austria)

Objectives: The aim of this dissertation is to analyze the situation of women returning to work after maternity leave in Austria and the Czech Republic, to design a special career coaching program for them and to evaluate its effectiveness. Methods: Questionnaires, interviews and career coaching program. The sample consisted of female high school, college and university graduates returning to work after maternity leave. Results: The research showed that women tend not to advance in their careers and perceive a lack of support in career development from their employers. We found no significant differences between Austrian and Czech women regarding the length of maternity leave and strategies for coping with work/family conflicts, though they differ in their approach to career management. The career coaching program was designed according to the detailed analysis of needs of our respondents and was evaluated as very effective.
Theory, issues and practice of coaching as a method of developing managers in the Czech Republic

The aim of modern companies is above all employ quality employees. Company management should still keep in mind that any investment in employee training promotes business growth and achieving the identified strategic objectives. If management uses coaching, he should also be able to positively encourage the personal development of his employees. Finding the right path to personal development is to be not only quality but also motivated, capable and loyal in their work. The author of this work applies an innovative perspective in the form of her own experience of work and personal life, creates and interesting idea of application of coaching as a mutually beneficial win x win relationship between employees and management. The work is supported by professional experience of excellent and renowned coaching company Krauthammer Czech republic, Ltd., the project Krauthammer Observatory 2009, and by author's extensive research, which refers to the current situation of coaching in the Czech republic in 2010. The work is systematically divided and is an appropriate tool for understanding what is coaching and which coaching is quality.
Comparison of accommodation equipment according to uniform classification

The thesis deal the development of accommodation equipment. The theoretical part informs about history, development and present situation of hotelery and classification. The practical part compares choice hotels according to valid classification. All these hotels are situated in South Bohemia. Two of free hotels meet requirements for first class (4 *). The component of practical part is a questionnaire inquiry into guest´s satisfaction of the hotel services and which one miss. Demanding missing services are calculated and suggested as possibility to improve the attraction. In the practical part is used the Servqual method. It is comparison of quality accommodation services. This method is complemented with comparison accommodation prices in choice example. The goal of this thesis is an evaluation of the offer and rendered services of tourism in accommodation equipment according to the official uniform classification of accommodation equipment 2010-2012 to the topical need of market. This goal is achieved through the use of above mentioned methods.
The Influence of Coaching on Leadership of Teams

The first part is dedicated to organization of available information about coaching to the clear structure. It defines that technique and its styles. It also describes its main instruments (function of questions, active listening, feedback, relationship between coach and coachee) and models (particularly The GROW). Furthermore, it covers also explanation of the notion leadership role and development of teams. The second part is focused on analysis of current state of the local committee AIESEC Praha. It serves as the base for proposal of solution. In the last part, there are presented concrete possibilities of the coaching implementation in the committee. The final suggestion takes into consideration its reality and future plans. For that reason, the recommendation of using basic coaching principles prevails over its direct introduction as effective style of leadership.
Coaching as a method of training employees

The thesis introduces an area of corporate education, conditions of its systematic and efficient management and methods of training employees. The scope of this thesis is to analyze strengths and weaknesses of coaching if used as method of training employees. The analysis is mostly focused on internal coaching, compares advantages and disadvantages of internal coaching towards external and also focuses on coaching in general as a method used for training employees.
Coaching in the International Company in the Czech Republic

In my diploma thesis I analyse coaching as a method of learning and development of employees. The main points of theoretical part are the Inner Game and GROW method. In practical part of my thesies I concider how coaching works in two different international companies in the Czech Republic - T-Mobile CZ and DHL Express CZ. Last part of my thesis contains confrontation of both companies.
