Dyspnoea
Němečková, Helena ; Chloubová, Helena (advisor) ; Marková, Eva (referee)
The theoretical part of the diploma work has been influenced by the literature available, I describe briefly the physiology and pathology of breathing, the characteristics and divisions of dyspnoea, the feelings of those suffering from acute or chronic dyspnoea, nursing diagnosis, nurse evaluation, therapy and at the end some recommendation to improve the life quality of the patients suffering from dyspnoea. The research aim was to find out how the patients perceive breathlessness, how it affects their lives, what measures they take to influence or reduce it and what factors influence their breathing. I came into conclusion that the 27 asked patients/clients mainly feel the lack of air and fear. Chronic dyspnoea is often accompanied by the feeling of powerlessness. Surprisingly, dyspnoea hasn't been the cause of sleep disorder although it often is the reason for effort reduction and it worsens the life quality of the patients. In spite of the fact almost one half of the patients hasn't been forced to change the regime. The influence of the physical activities proved to be unambiguous. In general, dyspnoea is accompanied by unpleasant feelings which depend on the time, it can impair sleep, it changes the life quality forcing the person to reduce physical activity and in acute case to have total physical rest.

The History of the Lower Lužnice River
Prevention of using drugs at basic school
Ročňáková, Michala ; Drlíková, Eva (referee) ; Hermochová, Soňa (advisor)
This thesis is focused on prevention activities for children and adolescents in a school background. lt is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical one. The theoretical section describes actual situation of using drugs (legal and illegal ones) among young people, developmental aspects in motivation and possibilities of preventive activities. There is a chapter, which is concerned of efficient program of prevention. lt includes norms for design ing and providing efficient programs. The theoretical part discusses general prevention basement even prevention in specific school environment. Descriptions of target groups of prevention are included in this section. Special attention is paid to life skills training. Actual state of applied prevention of using drugs among pupils at concrete basic school is discussed in the empirical part. lt is based on qualitative investigation of written materials and focused groups of teachers. Example of own experiences of running programme in the project "Cesta poznání" follows.

An Analysis of Speech Problems in Persons with Parkinson?s Disease
Šimonková, Ivona ; Housarová, Blanka (advisor) ; Voldřichová, Michaela (referee)
The thesis deals with the diagnosis of impaired communication ability of patients suffering from Parkinson's disease. The theoretical part surveys the up to now knowledge of Parkinson's disease, speech problems connected with Parkinson's disease and specific possibilities of logopaedic diagnosis. In the practical part the speech of people suffering from Parkinson's disease is assessed. Dysarthric speech impairments are assessed in relation to the length of Parkinson's disease. Test 3F (used for diagnosing dysarthric patients) is used to examine a group of people suffering from Parkinson's disease. The people are divided into three groups according to the length of their disease.

The study of gamma-ray bursts detected by satellite RHESSI
Řípa, Jakub ; Mészáros, Attila (advisor) ; Karas, Vladimír (referee)
The beginning of the theoretical section of this diploma thesis is pointed to a discovery of the gamma-ray bursts. Then it is pointed to a brief historical summary of the different instruments dedicated to the GRB's field. Because the main aim of this work is the basic analysis and the classifying of the observed gamma-ray bursts by RHESSI solar satellite (which has observed more than 220 GRBs yet), a technical description of this instrument is introduced. It is followed by a part about gamma-ray production mechanisms. In this work there are also mentioned some related gamma-ray sources e.g. SGRs. The theoretical résumé is concluded by the description of the GRB's afterglows and some preferred models of their origins. In the proper study there was done the morphological classifying of the GRB's temporal profiles. Next there was studied the duration distribution with orientation to determine number of the subclasses using lognormal fits and the 2 test. Distribution of the radial distances of the gamma-ray sources can be examined by the log N vs. log P. dependence. The results are properly discussed and compared with the results of the BATSE instrument (including the V/Vmax test). In the final stage of this work, there is argued the dependence between the hardness ratios and the durations.

Characterization of dielectric barrier discharges at atmospheric pressure

The aim of this dissertation is to get to know metodology and construction of suitable electrical insertion in measurement of energy consumed by discharge. These findings will serve to scale dependings of output to frequence for surface and voluminous dielektric barrier discharge in synthetic dry air and determination of effect of humidity in air on electric characteristics of discharge.

Comparing General and Special Level of Speed Skills in Young Ice-Hockey Players Studying the Third, Sixth and Ninth Grade of the Primary School
Čihák, Ladislav ; Perič, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
Tittle: Comparing general and speciál level of speed skills in young ice - hockey players studyng the third, sixth and ninth grade ofthe primary. The goals of work: The goal of our work was to find out the level of corelation of general and special tests of speed skills in young ice - hockey players, studying the third, sixth and ninth grade ofthe primary. The goal ofresearch was obtaining ofdata to form the relation between general and special tesťs battery conducting in athletic and winter stadiums. Methods: We gained the needful numerical data by testing ofplayers. We devided tests into three tests, which indicate nonspecific speed skills and specific speed skills. The results were elaborated by virtue ofpartial canonical correlation, canonical analyse and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: On the basis of goals and objectives the testing of players (n = llO) was implemented in four hockey clubs. The results were compiled in tables. This diploma work dealed with comparing level of specific and nonspecific speed skills in young ice - hockey players studying the third, sixth and ninth grade ofthe primary. In the third grade there was the highest correlation between 30m slalom out of ice and skating 4 x center - blue line 0,714. The lowest correlation in this grade was between run 4 x 10m and 30m...
