Comparison of graphical interface of Blesk from 1933 and 2012

This paper "Comparison of Blesk's graphic pages of 1993 and 2012" deals with the analysis of best-selling graphic presentation of the Czech tabloid Blesk. The first part is devoted to general visual characteristics of printed materials. This theoretical framework is important to determine the area under the examination and definition of the key terms which I work with in the practical part. Comparing the visual aspects of Blesk from 1993 and 2012, I selected one week from each or five issues from the daily of one week (Monday - Friday). The subsequent analysis focuses on the overall visual aspect of particular issues (format, size, margins) and the sub-characters used such as a color photograph, the arrangement of the parts with an emphasis on the title page, the title of establishment and the usage of other graphic accessories. After the description of typographic character of each period separately I focus on the chapter. The aim is to compare two files and investigate the changes that have occurred in the course of nineteen years, if there are any. The conclusion is dedicated to my personal impression from the selected material of two years and evaluates the contribution of this work.
Radost agency and magazine post

The bachelor thesis "Radost Agency and Magazine Post" deals with the activity of student agency Radost (which means joy, pleasure in Czech) and picture magazine Post which was published by the agency. The bachelor thesis outlines historical context at the turn of the 1980s and the 1990s and describes how the political and social change influenced the activities of the agency. The thesis deals with the beginning of agency at Film and TV School of Aca- demy of Performing Arts in Prague and its transformation into professional organizati- on, mentions the fields of activity (photography, music and publishing) and its two most important exhibitions. The thesis defines the agency as the period phenomenon re- flecting the social changes and the open platform for people coming up with the new approach for various culture projects. Following chapters about magazine Post are divided into specific parts that cha- racterize the stages of the magazine between years 1989-1992. The chapters describe the transformation from student magazine into publicly distributed periodical. Typography of the monthly maganize žena a móda (1949-1995)

The thesis "Typography of the monthly magazine Žena a móda (1949-1995)" deals with the graphical appearance of this magazine and describes the changes in its typography. Magazine ran from January 1949 to July 1995, when it was cancelled because of financial difficulties. The aim of this thesis is to divide the years of Žena a móda's existence into periods, depending on its specific graphical appearance. This bachelor thesis outlines the historical context, technical conditions and the influence the Marxism-Leninism had on the graphic design. Moreover, the basic vocabulary of typographical terms is included. The thesis analyses the graphical appearance of the magazine periodically, with the focus on physical qualities, typesetting, typeface, headlines, front pages or advertisement. Furthermore, the graphical appearance of the world's most famous magazines is outlined briefly towards the end of the thesis, as well as the magazine's competition after 1989. Differences between user interface design tools

This thesis describes the difference between graphic editors, which are used by designers while creating design of user interfaces. In first part of this thesis are defined principles of good user interface design, which should designer follow. In next part are described differences between vector and bitmap images. In practical part are compared functions of four graphic editors. In conclusion is created table summary of these functions.

This thesis describes process of developing fully responsive websites. It is focused on decision-making process for selecting the right online presentation of the project or company, individual pitfalls and creation. Creation is then demonstrated on a fully responsive website that relies on knowledge gained in the theoretical part. The goal is to focus on individual differences of mobile devices and their software in conjunction with the development of applications and websites. The output is fully responsive web based on gained experiences from the theoretical part.
