The Inclusion of Childern with Specific Social and Educational Needs to Scout Units

(in English) The Master's thesis "Inclusion of Children with Specific Social and Educational Needs to Scout Units" focuses on the integration of children with special needs into the specific environment of the Czech-scouting organisation Junák. It comprises of a theoretical and an empirical part. The first one describes basic theoretical concepts of children integration and inclusion and summarises the current situation in the Junák organisation. The empirical part presents a research, which unlike previous works describes the process of integration from the perspective of three key subject groups: children with specific needs, their parents or foster parents and Scout leaders. The data has been gathered by the means of semistructured interviews, question forms and on-site observation. The aim was to identify how the integration process works and to gather the opinion of individuals representing the three target groups about the factors influencing the process of integration in Scout units. This thesis presents several aspects considered as key by each of the subject group. Group Conformity and Leading of a Social Group

This thesis deals with the topic of group conformity and leading of a social group. The theoretical part is focused on characteristics of a social group and its types of leading, of conformity and scouting. The practical part is dedicated to an analysis of a chosen social group from scout movement from the point of view of conformity of its members and types of leading. In this part, the chosen social group and research methods are de-scribed. The output of this thesis is an analysis and interpretation of data gained in the research and recommendations how to work with this group.
100 years of scouting in the region of Klatovy

The bachelor´s work is focused on the development of Scouting in the region of Klatovy. In the first part there is introduced the theory of Scouting, with its basic ideological pillars such as the basic principles of Scouting, the Scout promise and law. It also discusses the history of the world scouting and Czech scouting. Extensively it describes the development of the Scout Movement in the region of Klatovy with respect to all periods when the organization was banned. The end of the work attempts to find out, on the basics of interviews carried out with Scout officials in Klatovy, whether the Scout ideals and values that we inherited have their topicality for children and youth even today. Whether scouting education in the region of Klatovy has undrgone a major transformation since the founding of the Scout movement up to the present days.
Scout house

Bachelor’s thesis focus on design of Scout house a free time facility named K15 in Olomouc, city part Nové Sady. The building will stand on the land plot number 408/1, 408/2, 408/3 and 112/7. Owners of land are investor and an adjacent elementary school. The building will primary serve as a base for the 7th Scout unit "Yellow Blossom" Olomouc, which has currently about 90 active members in three main age categories - fireflies and pups (7-11 years), Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts (11-15 years) , Rovers and Rangers (15-99 years). Scout troops, which associate children of the same age, meets twice a week in their clubhouse-currencies, under the direction of leader who organize and manage the activi-ty entirely voluntarily and free of charge.
Ideas of the Scout Movement Founders and the Contemporary Scouting Practice in the Czech Republic (Prague)

This project covers the subject of Scouting, particularly in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part introduces the historic background of the establishment and the development of the Scout Movement in the Czech Republic from its beginning to the present time. It also presents a list of Scout training methods and the fundamentals of the movement including the Scout Promise, the Scout Law and the Scout's duty to do a good turn daily. The practical part of this project, using a questionnaire method among the Scouts between the age of 11 and 15, aims to map the activities of Scout sections in Prague at present and to compare the current Scouting practice with the principles of Scouting from the beginning of the 20th century. At the same time it maps the level of knowledge of present Scouts about the Scout Promise, the Scout Law and other fundamentals of Scouting and their role in the present life of the Scouts and their sections.
Social Relations in Scout Troops

This work discusses about Social Relations in small group, focusing on Scout Groups with regard to their traditions. Qualitative research was performed to determine the social relations among the members of a small group and assess the relationship of its members to the traditional values of Scouting.
The Influence of Leadership Style of Group on the Formation of Social Climate in Scout Troops

Scouting is a lifestyle. Scouts are mates, friends and the community of people who share similar values. Growing up in a scout section is to seize the chance to live fully, to be active and find their own place in the world. Scouting is an offered opportunity for developping not only themselves but also their surroundings. Scouts try to create a better world by taking their lives into their own hands. Scouting works universally on the personality development of children and young people, through games, experiences, activities and other work. The aim of this work is to explore the issues shaping the social climate in scout sections in relation to the leadership style of the group. The theoretical part provides general information about scouting, pedagogical - psychological aspects of social groups, group leadership styles, influences on the formation of the social climate in the group with regard to the specificity of the scout groups. The empirical part shows leadership styles group care centers in a scout camp in the center cup and what their relationship to the social climate of the scout groups and raids is.
Participation in non-state non-profit organizations for children and youngsters

The work deals with participation within non-state non-profit organizations for children and youngsters. It is focused on possibilities and usage of participation in two biggest civic associations in the Czech Republic ? Junák and Pionýr. In the first part of the thesis, the term participation is defined and the resources which it is based on and which it uses are explained. The basic division of participation is mentioned as well as the necessity of education of individuals towards everyday participation. Another part of the researched issues is non-profit sector and that is why the second part of the paper concerns the characteristic of non-state non-profit organizations and it outlines possible employment of participation in this area. The third part deals with possibilities and realization of participation in Junák and Pionýr. Based on the analysis of selected documents of both the organizations, the research itself concentrates on the phenomenon of participation in basic units of these organizations and their participation in the life of society. The findings are evaluated and mutually compared.
The Salesian Preventive System and Scouting

The thesis compares two educational systems: the Salesian preventive system of John Bosco and Scouting. It presents the personality of the founders, than characterizes the recipients, mission, principles, aims, methods and tools of these educational systems. This comparison focuses on the moral values, virtues and value attitudes advenced by the systems. The thesis looks for elements which the two education systems sharediffer in and attempts to highlight those elements which could be mutually inspirative in the pursuit of the ideal of integral education of a young person.
