Early mediaeval stronghold of Libice nad Cidlinou and its hinterland

Early medieval strongholds (fortified centres) were dominating elements in early medieval society. They usually served as multi-functional centres of political power, administration, trade, cult, military organization, etc. There were many people residing in such strongholds who did not take part on agricultural production, for example the ducal family, soldiers, and craftsmen. Strongholds played an important role in the process of the formation of early medieval Czech state in the 9th and the 10th century. The early medieval centre is assumed to have been a great consumer of food (non-productive elites), human labour (construction of fortification), raw materials (wood, iron ore), etc. The needs of early medieval strongholds are usually characterised as "very large", but always without any proper context of comparison. It is impossible to understand the economy of a centre without a knowledge of its needs and capacity of its hinterland. The centre and its hinterland is one indivisible system, which has to be balanced.

Family Centre - the Resocialization of Mothers-Drug Addict

The work is monitoring activities and usefulness of Centre for family dealing with mothers on psychotropic addictive drugs and their re-socialization. For the possibility of examination of the programme usefulness for the target group, the single steps of the therapy are shown in a particular client case as followed during the three stages of the project. I also asked fifty clients about eleven questions. The aims of the Centre for family were the criterions for my choice of questions. The inquiry is monitoring the achieved level of re-socialization of clients. The contribution and reasonability of this project has been shown as based on the followed case, figures obtained in the inquiry and the Centre for Family results. The clients who got through the whole programme are stabilized, re-socialized and able to be a part of the society which is very significant for the growth and development of their children. This work is focused on the Centre for Family because of its uniqueness among the other institutions dealing with the drug problems. Eastern district 1960-1989. Citizens and the lowest link of the State security on the example of the Havlíčkův Brod district

The subject of this dissertation is the problem of activities of the State Security on a current district level which has remained up to now unnoticed. On one hand it dwells on the organization development of the apparatus of the political police outside big centres, on its persona! appointments and on the incorporation of the StB structure into the local system of the totalitarian power. On the other hand it analysis interests of the State Security, the develop-ment in the interpretation of enemy and of supposed or actual risks for the stability of the state power. The period between 1960 and 1989 was choosen for its stable form of the territorial zoning and as a period of declarative completion of the so-called socialist society. In such a framework it is possible to follow the influence that important landmarks had on the territorial structure of the State Security, as for instance the period around the Prague Spring 1968, or the rise of civic activities starting the end of 1970's, as well as the period of the fall of regime at the end of 1989. The study was written in particular as a result of studies of original so far mostly unexplored archival materials including use of some memoirs and other secondary literary sources. Entrepreneurial plan : Sport centre

Teoretická část práce rozebírá strukturu podnikatelského plánu a jeho podstatné náležitosti. Jsou zmíněny legislativní požadavky pro založení podniku a možné zdroje financování. Dále je charakterizován zakladatelský rozpočet a marketingový mix. Je nastíněn způsob provádění analýzy okolí prostřednictvím PEST a SWOT analýz a zhodnocen i vliv podnikatelského rizika na rozhodování podnikatelů. V praktické části práce je vypracován konkrétní podnikatelský plán na založení sportovního centra Max gym, s.r.o. v Ústí nad Labem. Jsou zde rozebrány všechny podstatné náležitosti, které je nutné zhodnotit před uvedením projektu do provozu. Je také zpracován podrobný finanční plán a zhodnocena výhodnost investice a to ve dvou variantních řešeních.

Health educational background in the nutritional therapy of women after Gastric Plication in the age of 25 - 40 years

This Dissertation aims to document the influence of a nutrition therapist on the diet of female subjects in their reproductive age after gastric plication. The theoretical part clarifies the term "morbid obesity", it provides explanations for the main diagnostic criteria for this type of obesity, its risks, and last but not least it provides also a list of basic types of medical examinations of obese subjects. Another section of the theoretical part deals with weight-loss (bariatric) surgery where this term is described not only at a general level, but also specifically with the principle of gastric plication, indications as well as contraindications to this intervention. At the same time the Dissertation presents a Prague-based bariatric centre - OB klinika a.s., which is the only entity in the Czech Republic that deals with these activities. The last section in the theoretical part is focused on nutrition therapy and explains energy demands of human organism, describes healthy nutrition and clarifies essential features of obesity treatment, and it deals with the most important aspects as well - eating regime in the case of subjects after gastric plication. The practical part deals with 10 female subjects selected on a random basis, in the age category of 25 - 40 years of age, who underwent the gastric plication. Five of these subjects have been selected for the project entitled "New Chance" and they are monitored at a detailed level and follow the prescribed regime after gastric plication. The remaining five subjects undergo a standard post-operative regime. The five selected subject use menus prepared by a nutrition therapist and they are invited, in regular intervals, to visits with consultations regarding eating habits, drinking regime as well as any possible issues which may occur in the course of their treatment. With the help of tables and charts this part documents developments of weight reduction and at the same time it provides comparisons of changes before and after operation, especially in the areas important for a nutrition therapist.

Modernity in Controversy. Zikmund Winters´ work in the Journal Zvon (1900-1912)

This piece of work will be talking about famous works (such as Peklo, Mistr Kam- panus) and margine contributions of Zikmund Winter. These contributions were published in 1900 ? 1912 in magazine called Zvon. These texts will be considered especially from the poit of view of the contributors of magazine Zvon and Moderní revue. These contributors had many polemics between each other. Moderní revue was the centre of decadent and symbolist orientation. My aim is to describe the literaly method of Zikmund Winter that can be considered sometimes as opposed, sometimes as identical with programme of Česká moderna. The solution will be not only the interpretation of chosen works but also the analysis of comments, editorial notes and reviews concerned these works.

Full name: Jana Mašindová Supervisor: Mgr. Jana Náhlá Proposal for creation Snoezelen room in a geriatric centre Snoezelen therapy is carried out in a specially adapted room. It is a room equipped with a device that stimulates all human senses. Snoezelen room offers visitors opportunity to experience understanding, interaction and relaxation. Visitors are not forced to do activities; on the contrary, they may apply their own will and practise everything they like and what is enjoyable for them. The Bachelor thesis focuses on the use of Snoezelen room for geriatric clients. There are plenty of workplaces for child clients in the Czech Republic that tend to use Snoezelen room. However, there are only few workplaces dealing with Snoezelen for geriatric population, even though the method is utilized by this clientele abroad pretty often. The theoretical part of this paper summarises the area of Snoezelen and dementi, which abounds in old age quite frequently, as well. Moreover this section describes basal stimulation, which has extensive effect on people suffering from dementia and last but not least a link between the Snoezelen room and basal stimulation is mentioned here.
