Belák, Václav ; Svátek, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Nováček, Vít (referee)
This thesis deals with the use of knowledge technologies in support of self-organization of people with joint political goals. It first provides a theoretical background for a development of a social-semantic system intended to support self-organization and then it applies this background in the development of a core ontology and algorithms for support of self-organization of people. It also presents a design and implementation of a proof-of-concept social-semantic web application that has been built to test our research. The application stores all data in an RDF store and represents them using the core ontology. Descriptions of content are disambiguated using the WordNet thesaurus. Emerging politically engaged groups can establish themselves into local political initiatives, NGOs, or even new political parties. Therefore, the system may help people easily participate on solutions of issues which are influencing them.

Paseková, Martina ; Frintová, Dita (referee) ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor)
Seznam literatury - 60 - LEGAL CONSEQUENCES OF A DIVORCE IN PROPERTY AREA Summary Subject of my thesis is "Legal consequences of a divorce in property area". In the first chapters of this thesis I dealt in particular with the common property of spouses. I briefly described what belongs and what does not belong to the common property. Then I dealt with a divorce and its basic forms which are the so called divorce including identification of cause for breakdown of marriage, complicated divorce and divorce without identifying cause of breakdown of marriage. I focused mainly on the last mentioned form of a divorce which is often also called as a divorce based on agreement. This form of a divorce assumes that spouses are able to communicate with each other and that they are prepared and able to fulfill all the conditions required by law. A divorce based on an agreement of both spouses simplifies the divorce proceedings. The most important legal consequence of a divorce in property area is forfeiture of common property and property settlement. Common property settlement may be reached upon an agreement, by a court decision or upon a legal presumption. Similarly to a divorce the most simple way how to settle extinguished common property is an agreement made and signed by spouses who are able to agree on solution...

Companies in private international law
Daňková, Zuzana ; Pauknerová, Monika (advisor) ; Kučera, Zdeněk (referee)
Private International Law - Companies Abstract: Comparative company law is about taking in the experience of others in a competitive way, and finding a joint solution to the cross-border issues appearing for and from companies that are confronted by global competition. All over the world company law is undergoing fundamental change, particularly in Europe. European countries have committed themselves to and begun extensive reform of their company legislation. In this paper I argue the reasons for such a movement. The harmonization of national company laws was long the main concern of the European Union. An increasing EU harmonization was taking place through the Company Law Directives, designed mostly to protect stakeholders such as minority shareholders, creditors and employees, and was motivated by the desire to establish a situation in which every competing business from different Member States has a fair and equal chance of succeeding and to prevent Member States from participating in a 'race to the bottom' as a means to attract investment. Therefore, mobility of companies was not a priority for the EC at that time. However, this became different with the adoption of the European Company Statute. This regulation is the first European law which enables a cross-border merger as well as the transfer of the...

The other as the other body
Čáp, Bohumil ; Kouba, Petr (referee) ; Čapek, Jakub (advisor)
The work poses the question of how is it possible to experience another human. This so-called problem of intersubjectivity is opened within the phenomenological tradition, specifically in the context of Maurice Merleau-Ponty's oeuvre. Most of the attention is, therefore, dedicated to "Other Selves and the Human World", a chapter of Phenomenology of Perception. The main goal is to disclose the nature of the solution presented by Merleau- Ponty and to submit it to a critique. Merleau-Ponty's account of intersubjectivity as intercorporeity shows coherent provided the overcoming of the subject-object dualism is carried further than it is in Phenomenology of Perception. An indication of the direction in which this could be achieved was found in Merleau-Ponty's later The Visible and the Invisible. Experience of another human is, thus, possible to explain if we overcome the dualism of the individual and the general.
