Development of tuition fees in higher education in EU countries

This thesis "Development of tuition fees in higher education in EU countries" deals with the development of tuition fees as a means of higher education funding in EU countries. First part deals with the development of European higher education policy. Then the development and form of tuition fees in EU countries is described. The development of tuition fees in these three countries is analysed ? in Germany and Austria and also United Kingdom, because the tuition fees here is the highest within all EU countries. The conclusion of this thesis is focused on the issue of introducing tuition fees in the Czech Republic in the context of EU countries and on presenting the arguments of both the advocates and the opponents of its possible introducing.

Domníváme se, že jednou z příčin úpadku vzdělávání v ČR je neexistence jasné a sdílené koncepce vzdělávací politiky. Proto chceme vyvolat celospolečenskou debatu, na jejímž konci definujeme smysl a cíle vzdělávání, které budou pro každého srozumitelné. Přednáška představí podobu kampaně a způsoby, jak se může jednotlivec či organizace do kampaně zapojit a napomoci tak proměně vzdělávání v naší zemi.

The Analysis the Financing of the Higher Educational System in the Czech Republic and Other Selected OECD Member Countries

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the financing of the higher educational system in the Czech Republic and other selected OECD member countries and the comparison of these systems. The Czech Republic is not the only country where the financing of the higher education is subject to serious discussions. The Czech educational system deals with a lack of funds which represent the basic structural problem. Many countries come to reformative steps that should handle this issue. The theoretical part concerns the theory of human capital, the role of education in society, the educational politics, the financing mechanisms of the higher education and the financial flows. The practical part analyses the tertiary education in the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain and Slovenia. Expenses on education will be compared in relation to GDP and state budgets of the selected countries. Subsequently, the differences of the individual higher educational systems will be described by means of the comparison method.

Má práce pojednává o problematice současné sociální politiky EU,nejdříve stručně popisuji historii,nástroje a funkce sociální politiky, dále se zabývám politikou zaměstnanosti, vzdělávací, zdravotní politikou, důchodovými systémy v jednotlivých zemích EU, dále charakterizuji chudoby a nerovnost příjmů v EU a nakonec charakterizuji evropský sociální fond, provádím také komparaci jednotlivých zemí z hlediska výdajů na jednotlivé politiky.

Long-Term Contributions of Training Programmes

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate long-term contributions of selected training programmes focusing on the adaptability and competitiveness of human resources. Contributions will be analyzed in two training programmes of city Pelhřimov, which are supported by European Social Fund, specifically by the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness. Long-term contributions of educational programmes are primarily individual - for the learners, but also societal - for employers and the entire state.

Implementation of EU´s Education policy in the Czech Republic

Thesis describes development and current state of European Union's Education policy. It focuses mainly on Erasmus programme and its implementation in the Czech Republic on example for five universities in Prague. First part describes history of Education policy from EU's establishment to formation of strategy Europe 2020 and it pays attention to authorities and institutions that influence education in the EU. Second chapter introduces Lifelong Learning Programme and other community programmes supporting education. Moreover it deals with operational programmes in the Czech Republic. Third, last one, part focuses on Erasmus programme, its practical use in the Czech Republic, and specifically on five selected universities in the capital city.

Social Policy of EU and comparing models of chosen countries

My thesis describes social policy of EU and compares social models of three countries - Germany, Denmark and Great Britain. I divided my work into five parts. In the first one I concentrate on history, tools and function of social policy. In other four parts I pay attention to employment policy, educational policy, pension systems and to poverty and social exclusion. In all these parts of social policy I compare activities of those three countries mentioned above.

Úloha územní samosprávy v oblasti školství

Cílem diplomové práce je objasnit základní prvky vzdělávací politiky České republiky a její aplikace v oblasti územní samosprávy. Změny v oblasti školství byly započaty v roce 2000 reformou veřejné správy. Funkcí se ujímají noví pracovníci obecních a krajských úřadů, členové výborů pro výchovu a vzdělávání v krajích, komise pro výchovu a vzdělávání v obcích, rady škol a další organizace i instituce, které se podílejí na výchově a vzdělávání. Práce pojednává o působnosti orgánů hlavního města Prahy a městské části Praha 6 v oblasti školské problematiky. Při zpracování tématu jsem vycházela z mnoha různých zdrojů, především z právních předpisů a interních zdrojů.
