The aim of the work is to map out the influence of active volunteering on the professional lives of the students of ZSF JU (Health and Social Department, University of South Bohemia). The next aim is to establish what students know about the possibilities of volunteering, what percentage of students are active volunteers and if they relate volunteering to their professional development. The research method was asking questions, the technique was a questionnaire and a managed interview. The respondents were students of full-time studies at ZSF JU studying the following subjects: Rehabilitation and Psycho Social Care of Handicapped Children, Adults and Old Age People (both bachelor and master studies) and Prevention and Rehabilitation of Social Pathology. The results of the research show that students are aware of the positive influence of volunteering on their professional development. They know the benefits of volunteering with regards to using knowledge obtained at school, learning new procedures and gaining new knowledge. The hypothesis ``Students of ZSF JU are not aware of benefits of volunteering for their professional development{\crqq} was rejected. The hypothesis ``Taking part in volunteering programs helps students gain new skills{\crqq} was proved. The results of the research can be used as information and study material for the support of volunteering at and outside of ZSF JU. It can also help raise awareness of individual programs at ZSF JU and on the opportunities volunteering gives students.

I also wanted to know that during this time appeared a new, more convenient methods screening than the combination of FOBT and colonoscopy follow , because since beginning it was clear that the tests used to detect occult blood are over their proven advantages and some provisions , in particular as regards sensitivity . Another reason is also my several years of experience with patients of endoscopic ambulance my father , where I first met s investigation FOBT -positive patients sent by general practitioners , whose I have outsourced the data into a specialized nationwide registry.

Chytil, Matěj ; Hrnčíř, Evžen (advisor)
Disease which are connected with diving are mostly caused by changes of surrounding pressure. Liquids don't make any harm in organism, due to incompressibility under this conditions.Causal problems are caused by gas and spaces that are filled with it.Gas changes its capacity because of changes of the pressure and temperature and It exerts to walls of spaces filling with it.This fact is responsible for more than half causes of all diseases related with diving. The second half of diseas is caused by changing solubility of gas contained in liquids during changes of surrounding pressure.Other causes are mostly marginal

Drtinová, Blanka ; Šimkovič, Dušan (referee) ; Semecký, Vladimír (advisor)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Science Candidate: Blanka Drtinová Supervisor: Doc. RNDr. Vladimír Semecký, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Treatment of the recurring chronic wound in diabetes mellitus II. Diabetes mellitus is a heterogeneous group of diseases. The main characteristic of this disease is hyperglycemia. During diabetes the patient develops microvascular and macrovascular complications. These complications lead to lower quality of patient's life and are the reasons for frequent hospitalisation and high mortality rates of diabetes patients. Wound healing physiologically includes phases of hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation and remodelation. For chronic wounds is a typical extension of the inflammation phase. The basic approach in treating chronic wounds is to ensure optimal environment in the wound and its surroundings. This includes removing pressure on the ulcer, debridement, local therapy, treating the infection and ischemia. When choosing suitable treatment, localisation, compensation, and cause of the ulceration have to be considered. Patient has to be educated. It is therefore essential to see each patient as an individual and choose treatment method suitable for the individual. Unsuccessful therapy leads...

Chemical constituents of stems and leaves of Vaccinium myrtillus
Hybelbauerová, Simona
Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L., Ericaceae), also known as European blueberry, has a long history in European folk medicine of being widely used in the form of fruits, tinctures, teas and other herbal formulas for the treatment of diarrhoea, circulatory diseases, eye conditions, inflammation and diabetes. Unlike the berry's fruits, the other vegetative organs have attracted much less attention. This PhD thesis was interested in stemps and leaves of Vaccinium myrtillus. Successive fractionation of the MeOH extract of Vaccinium myrtillus stems and leaves furnished 20 isolated compounds, including two new 2,4-pentanediol coumarates, (E)-(2S,4R)-4- (-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-pent-2-yl-p-coumarate 1 and its aglycone 2, new triterpenoid 3,12- dihydroxyolean-28→13-olid 3 and 17 known compounds: 2,4- pentanediol glucoside, -amyrin, -amyrin, oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, glutinol, - sitosterol, - sitosterolglucoside- tocoferol, methyl--D-fructofuranoside, methyl--D-fructofuranoside, methyl--D-fructopyranoside, saccharose, 2-deoxy-D-ribono-1,4-lactone, myo-inositol, quercetin and monotropein, whose structures were elucidated by comparing their physical and NMR data with those reported in the literature. 1 2 3
