Collision Detection in Computer Graphics
Stupka, Filip ; Starka, Tomáš (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the problem of collision detection between math defined primitive models and also on triangle networks that form complex polygonal models. Simulation of collision detection is very complex topic from performance standpoint and even though multiple methods that solve these problems do exist, in most cases they are too slow to be any useful and therefore it is encouraged to find optimizations and alternate solutions. In order to be able to work with collision simulation we need to understand discrete and continuous movement techniques and we need to be able to predict behavior of certain objects. This thesis therefore is based on game engine development, optimizations and implementation of collision detection algorithms.

Kropáček, Vojtěch ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
V této práci budeme stavět na nedávném vzestupu popularity entity komponent systémů v oblasti vývoje her. Našim cílem je vytvořit aplikaci simulující ekosystém v programu Unity engine. Budeme se soustředit na výhody ECS architektury and vysvětlíme její atributy a rozdíly oproti tradičnímu přístupu. Pro běh naší simulace použijeme framework s názvem Entitas uvnitř Unity enginu. Dokončená implementace bude emulovat Lotka-Volterra rovnice, také známy pod názvem rovnice lovec-kořist. Nálezy budou prezentovány v grafech, které blízce sledují očekávané grafy. Tato práce poskytne hlubší porozumění ECS architektury a její specifikace v rámci implementace Entitas. Také shrne použitý přístup ke stavění jednoduchého ekosystému a výsledné nálezy.
Architecture of the extreme
Honzák, Jiří ; Wlazel, Adam (referee) ; Kaftan, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is a new building proposal of a mountain hostel in an inhospitable conditions of czech mountains, concretely on a flank of the mountain Jelenka located in CHKO Jeseníky, not too far from the mountain Praděd. The building is situated in a location of former hunting lodge Alfrédka where many summer and winter tourist trails intersect and therefore it is a frequent place of rest for tourists, cyclists and cross-country skiers. On the other hand the locality is quite isolated from civilisation and its visit rate is dependent on tourism, which is something program of proposed building reacts to. The building can serve as a place of refreshment during hikes through the Jeseníky mountains, as a night haven for whole-weekend tours, or as a hinterland for educational school trips. Above all it provides a place where people of similar interests can get to know each other and share their travelling experience. The proposal is focused on utilisation of local energy potential which is hidden in climatic conditions of mountain regions of the Czech republic. Furthermore it is focused on evaluation of energetic loads and gains with a usage of modern computational methods and on simulating of light behavior in space. Chosen architectonic solution is a polygonal building insetted into the flank which opens towards tourist trails and a public space and on the contrary closes towards family housing so that it does not disturb its privacy. The building is inserted into convex part of the terrain and is connected to it from above so that it becomes its own part.
Design of a Robotic Cell for Operating a Jet Machine for Cleaning Castings
Vrána, Vojtěch ; Kubela, Tomáš (referee) ; Pochylý, Aleš (advisor)
The main goal of this master’s thesis is to create a design of robotic cell for operating of blasting machine. Operation of blasting machine consists of robotic manipulation of aluminium castings from input container to the blasting machine conveyor. After blasting operation aluminium castings are manipulated by robot from conveyor to output container. The part of the master's thesis is proposal of several variants of solution of design of robotic cell. Afterwards the best option is selected. The thesis also deals with design and selection of functional components in robotic cell. Functional verification of robotic cell is made in software Tecnomatix Process Simulate. Technical-economics evaluation is also part of this master’s thesis.
Digital commissioning of robotized workplace for cold spraying of rotating parts
Šimůnek, Petr ; Bražina, Jakub (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the virtual and later real commissioning of the workplace for cold spraying of rotating parts, which is located in the laboratories of the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. The workplace put into operation in this way serves the employees of the mentioned institute for experimental activities in the field of cold spraying. The theoretical part of the thesis describes all the essentials associated with virtual commissioning and the theory of cold spray. The practical part then deals with the creation of a robotic program, including the user interface, which is used to control the workplace. Part of this diploma thesis is also the realization of the connection between the external motor driver and the robot controller via the PROFINET communication bus.
Optimization of the production process in the sense of Industry 4.0
Sázavský, Jakub ; Březina, Michal (referee) ; Mauder, Tomáš (advisor)
Particularly the future of industry is and will be defined by the concept of Industry 4.0. Therefore, this thesis aims to describe the basic conceptions of Industry 4.0 in relation to the production process and demonstrate the possibilities of digital twin by using simplified model of a real production line. It explains terms such as the production process, the concept of Industry 4.0 and the queueing theory. The practical part includes a model of the section of a line in the printing company by the program Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, identification of bottlenecks, possibilities of optimization and evaluation of their impacts. Then there is an example from business practice and drawn conclusions.
Modeling the movement of people when organizing festival events
Žalská, Kateřina ; Uhlík, Ondřej (referee) ; Okřinová, Petra (advisor)
The thesis deals with modeling the movement of people during the music festival Hradecký Majáles. This mass event is very popular in Hradec Králové, and its attendance reaches 17 thousand people. The thesis is focused on optimalization of the normal operation of the event, prediction of possible obstacles and possible danger. For analysis a few verification scenarios are created, including the scenario involving the emergence of danger and following simulation of evacuation of people. Within the analysis the key variables such as density, evacuation time and LoS. The critical places where people could get hurt, are selected. The new security precautions or optimization of site geometry optimizations are suggested for these places. In the conclusion of the 3 thesis is performed efficiency evaluation of the suggested changes resulting from the performed analysis.
Barrier-free town - square in Podebrady
Kronowetterová, Marie ; Dobiášová, Lucie (referee) ; Okřinová, Petra (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the barrier-free use of public spaces in the city, specifically Jiřího Square in Poděbrady. From a global perspective, it addresses the issue of people with limited mobility and orientation and their specific needs for the most appropriate design solution. The work focuses on mapping and analysis of accessibility in the mentioned square according to Decree No. 398/2009, on general technical requirements ensuring barrier-free use of buildings. The next part deals with the verification and assessment of the new design of the square according to the public architectural competition. The design and the current state of the space are evaluated using a numerical model of pedestrians and according to the obtained results, changes are proposed for an optimized version of the design.
