The undergraduate thesis entitled "Časopis Ohníček: kvantitativní obsahová analýza vybraných pozornostních prvků 1950-2001" (Ohníček Journal: Content analysis of representation of selected attention-catching features in 1950-2001) deals with representation and role of visual attention-catching features in a children's printed periodical. The thesis describes a brief history and context of publishing the journal and with sensory perception of human organism with stress on visual perception, in connection with the process of attracting inadvertent as well as intentional attention. By means of quantitative content analysis it attempts at capturing the development of extent of representation of selected features with graphic significance in the journal, in particular of headlines and pictorial components, which immediately affect visual perception of the recipient and which are thus endowed with the largest potential to capture inadvertent attention through orienting responses. Such inadvertent attention may subsequently transform into intentional attention on the basis of the level of meeting individual expectations and interests. External form of respective contributions thus assists in awakening interest in their content. The development of the selected attention- capturing features is monitored...

Diploma thesis "Effect of cognitive task in postural sway of patiens with phobic postural vertigo" in its theoretical part discusses physiology of balance system, its disorders and summarizes knowledge of phobic postural vertigo. In experimental section we analyzed postural stability of 5 patients with phobic postural vertigo, 5 patients with structural lesion of vestibular system and 5 healthy subjects with posturography during normal stence and while performing cognitive tasks - "Contact test", Verbal Fluency task and modified Stroop test. The goal of this study was to find out whether postural stability of subjects differs while performing cognitive tasks in comparison with normal stance. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Aplikace principů pozornosti v online prostředí
Suchý, Miroslav ; Pavlíček, Antonín (advisor) ; Endlar, Lewis (referee)
Attention is today a scarce resource, which is from physiological substance of the human brain to a certain extent limited. Abundance of information that affect the user who grasp the information, cause a mismatch between the information that is infinite and ever growing, and user attention, which is used during the processing of this information. From the perspective of Attention economy, there are principles that explain how attention works. This work aims to verify these principles of attention in the electronic environment by measuring eye movements of sample of tested participants during execution of proposed tasks on particular website. Using a technology called eye-tracking there are collected supportive data on user's allocated attention in context of executed tasks on the website. These data are analysed and compared with the principles of attention. The analysis of the tested sample of website users confirmed that attention principles really corresponds with the measured allocated attention and also revealed a clear relationship between the various measured amounts of attention and subsequent user behaviour, which was nearly identical at most of the observed users. These findings led to the recommendation to respect the principles of attention in the design of any e-environment platform, which should avoid to the main researched problem, the abundance of information and the lack of attention of users in online environment.

The entire intervention consisted of initial and final testing d2 test of attention and application of the intervention program, which took place both in school physical education lessons and in the form of autoedukace at home using e -learning version of the program for 3 months. The results confirm the hypothesis. Conclusions and recommendations point to the appropriateness of including yoga, breathing and relaxation exercises in the context of school education.
